Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle, .38-56 WCF cal., 26" octagon barrel, blue and color case hardened finish, smooth walnut two-piece straight grip stock, tipped dovetailed blade front and buckhorn rear sights, full-length magazine, period aperture sight added at the tang, clear factory markings. Mfg in 1892, the rifle is in very good condition with the barrel and magazine tube gone to an even plum patina with light wear and scratches, the edges remain sharp with areas of light surface erosion. The receiver displays traces of smoky case hardened finish with edge wear and erosion in areas. The stock is in fine condition with light indentations and bruising, particularly on the left side of the fore end. The wood to metal fit is very good with some oil staining at the receiver and a flea bite chip at the right side of the tang. The butt ends with a smooth steel crescent butt plate, providing a 13" LOP. The bore is fair with erosion and scattered fine pitting, displaying visible rifling. Attractive Springfield Armory U.S. Model 1899 Krag bolt action carbine, .30-40 Krag cal., 22" barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut straight grip stock with sling swivels, pinned blade front and military tangent rear sights, clear factory markings. Mfg in 1902, the carbine is in fine overall condition, retaining considerable original finish drifting to gray patina with light scratches and minor surface erosion along the barrel. The receiver has gone to mottled silver with spots of surface erosion and bright fire blue on the bolt. The stock is near fine with indentations, bruises and small marks associated with service use. There is a crisp cartouche, dated 1901 at the left side of the wrist. The buttstock ends with a smooth steel butt plate with trap (empty), providing a 13.5" LOP. The bore is good with light erosion and well-defined rifling. The action functions smoothly and locks up securely on this most acceptable Krag carbine. (C&R)

This circa 1892 Winchester 1886 rifle in .45-90 cal w/ a 28" bbl is in very good to near fine condition displaying ~25% black blued finish to the bolt, butt plate & misc. small parts + a gray/brown patina to the barrel, loading tube w/ traces of case color to the receiver & hammer. The hardwood butt stock (with factory letter confirmed shotgun butt plate) & forend are fine w/ beautiful grain patterns & the majority of their rich oil finish remaining. The markings are sharp, the action crisp & the bore is fine w/ visible rifling. Mfg in 1905, the rifle is in very good original condition, retaining significant original finish with wear at the muzzle, edge wear and surface erosion. The stock is in very good condition showing moderate to heavy use with dents, scrapes and bruises consistent with service use. There is a non-matching serial number on the right side of the butt and "B2" on the left side. The buttstock ends with a smooth steel butt plate with the matching serial number at the top, providing a 13.25" LOP. The bore is fair with moderate erosion, light pitting and visible rifling. This rare & desirable good condition Canadian U.S. proofed Ross 1905 straight pull bolt action rifle in .303 British cal w/ a 28" bbl displays ~65% military black blued finish to the guns parts & partially niter blued bolt assembly. The hardwood stock & handguard are fair showing several old repairs to the area at the breech of the barrel/forward of the receiver. Additionally, there is a fissure on the left side of the stock below the length of the receiver & similar fissure on the right side of the stock below the correct Sutherland rear sight plus misc. nicks, mars & scratches throughout from handling, carry & storage. Present in the butt trap is a brass oiler tube. Importantly, the stock is also "US" proofed over "328" over "14890" behind the trigger guard. There is also a "Z 8" stamped on the left flat of the stock at the barrel breech. Additionally, the right side of the butt stock at rear is stamped "4" over "12" & "64" over "59" above a "3 *" above a "115 B" over "1909" to the right of a dime sized cartouche w/"QUEBEC" & "DC" marking. The guns markings are sharp, the action is crisp & the bore/rifling is near good w/ scattered erosion. Accompanying this rifle is a Ross Rifle Co. Patented 1907 bayonet/scabbard/leather cover w/ the wood grip stamped "U.S. M 815" & flaming bomb plus a flaming bomb stamp and "U.S." on the throat of the scabbards leather cover. There is also an adjustable leather military sling present. Also noteworthy is the information that this rifle appears to be 1 of 20,000 purchased by the United States Government for use in the first World War. (C&R)
