This very good condition Civil War Officers ornate spread eagle basket guard sword w/ an etched curved blade & single fuller displays a pleasing patina to its metal parts. The grip is wire wrapped Ray skin. Importantly, the guard is pierced to form its half basket guard w/ a prominent American spread eagle perched over a large "US" with "E Pluribus Unum " over its head. A fine addition to any serious public or private American Civil War collection. (Non-gun)

This Colt 1861 Navy Conversion revolver w/ "R.W.M./Anchor" markings (Commander Richard W. Meade, Inspector at the N.Y. Navy Yard (after alteration)) in .38 CF caliber w/a 7.5" barrel assembly is in overall fair + condition displaying a gray/brown patina to the guns parts w/a replaced brass trigger guard (#4849) & brass backstrap (NVSN). The hardwood grips are good w/ some scattered mars & minor edge wear (no visible cartouches). The markings are good, the action is loose & the bore/rifling are near fine. Early and desirable Springfield Armory Garand displaying a military finish to metal parts including the receiver, action, barrel dated "SA 10 42" (with bayonet lug/no bayonet included), bolt, trigger guard, barrel band, adjustable rear sight, adjustable front sight (w/"ears"), three sling rings (leather sling included), charging handle, receiver cover (stamped "28287-125A" over "A 8 W"), trigger, trigger guard and trigger assembly, stippled butt plate (with "door" to two-cavity areas for tools (oiling tube & combination tool included), and misc. small parts. The hardwood oil finished stock displays a Circle "P" behind the trigger guard and a square around an inspector's cartouche "SA over EMcF" on the left side of the stock above the trigger plus a crossed cannons stamping. This Garand is in overall very good condition displaying approximately 75% un-cleaned military finish. The markings are sharp, the action is crisp and the bore is fair with even frosting from heavy use. Per Scott Duff's research, this Garand can be considered a true early WW II battle survivor. (C&R)

This uncleaned fair to good condition Civil War Officers sword & scabbard displays a curved blade & single fuller w/ pleasing patina to the blade which is marked "US" over "1865" over "A.G.M" on one side of the hilt flat & "C. Roby" over "W. CHELMSFORD" over "MASS" on the other side of the flat. The wire wrapped leather grip is fair with an ~loss of 35% to the leather from handling wear. The open brass handguard & pommel show a pleasing even patina with "C 20" stamped twice on the left guard flat and "N.G.C. 34" on the underside flat plus "H E" also scratched on the upper side flat of the guard. The metal scabbard is also in fair to good condition showing a combination of nickel colored finish/ dark brown patina w/ an area of ~7" of surface rust to the right side above the drag. Both hanger rings are retained. (Non-gun)

Desirable Winchester Model 70 bolt action sporter, .264 Winchester Magnum cal., 26" barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut one-piece pistol grip stock with sling swivels, stock has small crack at butt, looks to have been dropped, hooded ramped steel bead blade front and folding rear sights, free floated barrel, matching bolt w/ serial number, and clear factory markings with Winchester WP proofs on the barrel and receiver. The rifle is topped with a Bausch & Lomb one-piece adjustable base, rings and a WWII era German Ajack 4x90 sniper scope with #3 reticle and period leather lens covers. The scope is in good condition, showing scrapes, scratches and surface erosion. The glass remains clear with the correct reticle. Mfg. in 1960, the rifle is in near excellent overall condition, retaining 95-96% toning blue finish with light wear at the muzzle, around the front sight and handling marks. The stock is in fine condition with indentations, scrapes and scratches consistent with field use. The butt ends with a checkered plastic butt plate, providing a 13.75" LOP. The bore is very good and may clean. The action functions smoothly. A scarce Model 70 Westerner with an even rarer scope. (C&R)

The hardwood stock & handguard are good showing pleasing grain patterns w/ scattered nicks, mars & scratches from handling carry & storage. Considerable rich oil finish remains on the wood. Additionally, there is a partially visible circle "P" behind the trigger guard, two inspector cartouches on the left side stock area above the trigger group & a white stenciled "8" on the right side of the butt stock. The checkered diamond hardwood grips are fine. The markings are sharp, the action is crisp & the bore/rifling are fine. Importantly, the Britain ordered ~13,000 Colt 1911s for the RAF. These pistols were also a popular sidearm among British officers, spies, commandos & airborne troop. Accompanied by a copy of an article related to this special order pistol.
