1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302

Lot # 252 (Sale Order: 51 of 87)

This a rare 1 owner barn find. Virtually all original parts. 2 year extensive nut and bolt restoration. Less than 1700 produced in 1969 and over 7000 produced in 1970.Originally a Florida car purchased by Arthur Blomberg. Original paperwork still with car. Believed to be the finest restoration in existence. Larry Shinoda design. The Boss 302 Mustang is a high performance variant of the Ford Mustang originally produced in 1969 and 1970. Ford revived the model for another two year production run in 2012 and 2013. It was produced for the Trans Am racing series. The Boss 302 Mustang was designed by Larry Shinoda, a former GM employee. The car featured reflective “c-stripe” and the fake rear fender scoops of the regular 1969 Mustangs was eliminated. Optional were black horizontal rear window shades and a blackout hood. It was one of the first production models with a front spoiler and rear deck wing. The name “Boss” came about when Shinoda was asked what project he was working on, he answered “the boss’s car” because the project was a secret. Also Shinoda had called it the “Boss” as a homage to the new President of Ford Semon “Bunkie” Knudson who had brought Shinoda over from GM when Knudson had left. Changes for the 1970 model year included side “hockey” stripes which started along the top of the hood, along with the 1970 grille which replaced the 4 headlights with two vents in the outside position while retaining dual headlights within the grille opening. The dual exhaust system was redesigned, along with the competition suspension and a standard Hurst shifter.

1959 Mercedes 190 SL

Lot # 253 (Sale Order: 52 of 87)

Desirable Mercedes sport roadster. Cosmetically & mechanically reconditioned. New canvas soft top. New chrome & trim. Runs & drives as good as it looks. As the brainchild of legendary European car importer Max Hoffman, the first Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster was designed to serve as a more entry level complement to the expensive 300SL Gullwing Coupe. The production run ran between 1955 to 1963 concurrent with the 300 SL production. More than 26,000 SL’s found owners during the 190’s seven year production run. The car appears to have had a straight solid body and thus the car requiring only sympathetic cosmetic upgrades; new canvas top, exterior paint, bright work, and new green leather interior. A full mechanical inspection and repairs were performed. New tires and brakes keep the car on the road and bring it to a safe stop. This car truly does run and drive as good as it looks.

1957 Ford Thunderbird E Bird

Lot # 254 (Sale Order: 53 of 87)

1957 Ford Thunderbird ‘E’ Code • Frame-off restoration • 312/270 HP overhead valve V-8 engine • Dual 4-barrel carburetors • Power steering • Porthole hardtop • Chrome wire wheels • Fender skirts • Aftermarket air conditioning • Independent front suspension • Unequal length A-arms and coil springs • Live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs • 4-wheel hydraulic drum brakes • 102" wheelbase • Wide whitewall spare and jack in trunk Ford first conceptualized a small two seater sports car in 1952 in response to the influx of foreign sports cars coming from Europe and the then rumors of Chevrolet’s two seater Corvette. Surprisingly, the Thunderbird went from the drawing board to rolling off the assembly line within a year only to be introduced one month after the 1953 Corvette. Ford also cleverly remarketed the Thunderbird as a “Personal Luxury Car”, since their car offered more luxury options. The Thunderbird improved over the three year production run and 1957 was the most desirable of the 2 seater birds offering more luxury and performance options. In 1957 four engine options were available, the base 292cid 212hp 2bbl (very rare), 312cid 245hp 4bbl, 312cid 270hp two four bbl carbureted car and the mighty 312cid 300hp Super-charged version. This rare and desirable 1957 “E” Bird has undergone an extensive restoration. The exterior is beautifully finished in “Thunderbird Bronze“ with a corresponding bronze and white interior. Additionally, it has aftermarket air-conditioning, a modern am/fm cassette radio, Kelsey Hayes wires wheels, soft and the famous Porthole top. With 2 4’s, she is not only a looker but and runner too.

Featured in Alpine White with Black vinyl bench seat, special order Black vinyl roof, and stripe-delete. The car is in the Galen’s Registry and comes with a very strong and highly detailed Galen inspection report. Developed specifically for NASCAR racing, the Superbird, a modified Road Runner, was Plymouth's successor to the Charger Daytona that was raced by Dodge in the previous season. The Charger 500 version that started the 1969 season was the first American car to be designed aerodynamically using a wind tunnel and computer analysis, and later was modified into the Daytona version with the unique nose and tail. The Superbird's smoothed-out body and nosecone were further refined from that of the Daytona, and the street version's retractable headlights added nineteen inches to the Road Runner's original length. The rear wing was mounted on tall vertical struts that put it into less disturbed air thus increasing the efficiency of the downdraft that it placed upon the car's rear axle. This car is one of seventy-seven 426 CI/ 425 HP, 2 x 4-bbl Hemi Superbirds with the 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission. Of these, 28 are known to have survived. The car has been subject to a nut and bolt rotisserie restoration and owner states it has only 31,018 original miles. Owner states it has all matching numbers and has not been driven on the road since the restoration was completed. The car features a 3.55:1 rear, power steering, power front disc brakes. Rally dash with 150 MPH speedometer and 8000 RPM tach, and maximum cooling package with correct 26 radiator. The original broadcast sheet, manual, and 26 page inspection report by Galen Govier are included. This is a rare opportunity to own a very special piece of street-legal American NASCAR technology.

1954 Kaiser-Darrin Roadster Convertible

Lot # 260 (Sale Order: 59 of 87)

1954 KAISER-DARRIN ROADSTER • Best in Class & Sponsor’s Choice Boca Raton Concours D’Elegance • Formerly owned by Dutch Darrin himself • Concours nut & bolt restoration • Yellow satin with matching interior & top • Chrome wire wheels & wide white wall tires • 3 position top • Sliding doors • #393 of 435 built during the 1 yr only production of this model • Suitable for the most prestigious Concours lawns This historically significant 1954 Kaiser-Darrin is featured in Yellow Satin with matching interior and top. Chrome wire wheels and wide whitewall tires make this car draw attention wherever it is shown. Powered by a 90-horsepower 161-cubic inch six cylinder engine, the Kaiser-Darrin was created to compete with Chevrolet's Corvette in the growing sports car market. The Kaiser-Darrin was styled by Santa Monica-based Howard 'Dutch' Darrin, who had also designed for Packard and Studebaker. Unusual for the time, the Kaiser-Darrin had a fiberglass body, a three-position top and sliding doors that disappeared into the front fenders when opened. In 1954, the model's only year of production, a mere 435 cars were built in addition to an estimated six pre-production prototypes. The Darrins body was built by Glaspar Boat Company because of their pioneering work in fiberglass boats, and the original Darrin prototypes were shown to the public before the Corvette or Thunderbird. Our car is #393 of the full production, and very few survive. The car is powered by 6-cylinder Willys F-Head 161 CI engine with three-speed gearbox and overdrive. Documents with the car show that the car was owned by Darrin himself in1958 at which time he sold it to an owner who had the car in long-term storage. The odometer shows only 3,800 miles. The car was subject to total nut and bolt restoration to standards suitable to the most prestigious Concours lawns.

2007/2008 Dodge Charger Concept Cuda

Lot # 271 (Sale Order: 70 of 87)

2007 / 2008 Plymouth ‘Cuda Concept Car • Designed and built to encourage Chrysler to bring back the ‘Cuda model • The only one built • 2008 Charger SRT8 donor chassis • 6.1 Liter HEMI and AutoStick transmission • All carbon fiber body • functional Shaker Hood • Painted Lambo Pearl Orange • Sits on 22" Zenetti wheels and Pirelli tires • Titled as a 2007 Dodge Charger. The "BBP Project 'Cuda". This car was designed and built to encourage Chrysler Corp to bring back the 'Cuda model and the Plymouth brand. "Beefier" and larger overall than the original, there is no mistaking its heritage. It is faithful to its 1970-74 "E" Body ancestors. Although a Concept Car, it was designed to translate into a production version. It was important for the car to look and drive like a car that came off the assembly line. The BBP 'Cuda was handcrafted by Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters in Fountain Valley, CA. Metalcrafters is known in the OEM industry for their extreme commitment to quality construction and quick build times. They count Toyota, Nissan, Audi, Hyundai and Chrysler among their list of OEM customers. Interestingly, Metalcrafters built the Concept Challenger for Dodge. Metalcrafters used the same technique to build the 'Cuda as they used to build Dodge's Concept Challenger. Starting with an "LX" chassis (in this case a brand new donor 2007 Charger SRT8), they proceeded to remove the body and totally disassemble the car down to the chassis. The bare chassis was cut in half and shortened 4" and put back together. A full scale foam model of the car was machined on a 5-Axis milling machine complete with stub axles, wheels and tires for critical review. After numerous cosmetic changes, a mold was made from the foam model for the carbon fiber body. The one piece, carbon fiber body was fit to the chassis. Once the fitment was confirmed, the glass areas were removed and the doors, trunk and hood were cut out. The glass for the windshield, rear window and side windows was manufactured by Metalcrafters at their facility. This glass is DOT approved, tempered safety glass, just like the glass in any production car. New door panels were made and the interior modified to convert from a 4 door sedan to a 2 door coupe. The stock instrument panel was retained for the production look and feel. The stock drivetrain and electrical system were also retained with the addition of a functional Shaker Hood scoop and Flowmaster mufflers. Stock wheels and tires were replaced with chrome 22" Zenetti "Fives" shod with 265/35/22 Pirelli P Zeros in front and 305/35/22 Pirelli P Zeros in the rear. The finish is highlighted by the clear coated exposed carbon fiber on the hood, deck lid spoiler and rear tail light panel. The remainder of the body is shot with Lamborghini Pearl Orange. In September when the car was nearly complete, MOPAR execs happened to be at Metalcrafters. After seeing the Concept 'Cuda, the executives asked if they could take the car to the 2007 SEMA Show in Las Vegas where it made its official debut. MOPAR used this opportunity to gauge public opinion for potential future re-introduction by placing it front and center in their display. **TITLED AS A 2007 DODGE CHARGER**

The car was a modern day version of the famous Ford GT40 that won the Worlds Manufacturer’s Championship for Ford in 1966, and then continued winning championships in 1967, 1968 and 1969.The response was overwhelming, and although Ford planned on building 4500 cars during the 2 year production, only a little over 4000 were built. The first GT’s were offered to the public in late 2004 as a 2005 Model and continued for the 2006 model year. The power was derived from the newly designed 5.4 all aluminum, modular V8, yielding 550 horsepower. Performance was superb, 0-60 times just 3.5 second and a top speed of over 205 mph. Presented here is this spectacular limited production “Heritage Edition” GT, in historic “Gulf Oil” livery. One of only 343 built, these cars to pay homage to the original Le Mans winning racing Ford GT 40‘s. This car has never been titled, still has the original MSO (Manufactures Statement of Origin) paperwork and driven only real 2400 miles. The car includes Number Kit in Car, Car Cover and all 4 options: McIntosh stereo system AM/FM Single CD Blue/Orange Heritage Paint, Heritage Racing Stripe Red Painted Brake Caliper Lightweight Forged Alum Wheels. This 2006 Ford GT is one of the best attempts by any manufacturer to recreate or reintroduce a historically significant car.

1959 Fiat Jolly 500 Convertible

Lot # 274 (Sale Order: 73 of 87)

1959 Fiat Jolly 500 • Highly collectible • Coral with Coral and new white surrey top • 4 new whitewall tires • New rubber floormats • Freshly tuned up and running flawlessly • An absolutely stunning car inside & out The adorable little Fiat Jolly was created out of necessity. They were intended to be little island hopper cars to shuttle the “well to do” back and forth from their yachts, airplanes or helicopters to their stately get-away mansions or hotels. Jollies were commonly found in Mediterranean and Caribbean resort communities. They started out as a basic Fiat 500 or a 600, and then the cars are stripped down to be very light with only the essentials. The roof sections were cut off and a surrey top was installed and wicker seats were installed to keep the car light. To stiffen the bodies, grab bars were cleverly integrated in the sides of the Fiat that served a dual purpose. The Fiat Jolly before you has been completely reconditioned mechanically and cosmetically and she runs out good. Take a trip back in time with this nostalgic pink little beauty, as she is ready to resume estate duties as your personal island carriage.

1928 Chrysler Model 72 Roadster with Rumble Seat

Lot # 275 (Sale Order: 74 of 87)

1928 Chrysler Model 72 Roadster with Rumbleseat • Black and Silver with Burgundy interior • 1976 AACA Automobile • 1st Junior 6/20/1976 • Sr. 6/25/1977 • 1st Preservation: 10/6/1983 (PA) • 2nd Preservation: 6/10/1986 (NJ) • 10/7/1995 (PA) • Inline 6cyl enigine • 2 Stromberg carbs • Split manifold & headers • Parabeam headlamps • Rear mounted spare A little known fact is that back in the late 20’s, Chrysler, still a fledgling company took a huge leap and gambled on the European market by venturing into international racing. In 1928, Chrysler entered a modestly modified Model 72 roadster in the prestigious 24 hr at LeMans race in France. This was a bold move, because Chrysler was competing with well-established Marques such a Stutz, Aston Martin, Bentley and Alfa Romeo to name a few. After a grueling 24 hours, two of the Chryslers placed a respectable 3rd and 4th behind the race prepared Stutz and the Bentley. This award winning 1928 Model 72 Chrysler presented here is the street production version of the famous race car. It is meticulously restored and features factory period performance accoutrements of the era. Very few of these are known to have survived, here is a great opportunity to own a classic “Mopar” Hot Rod of the Roaring Twenties.
