***Auction Highlight*** 1855 Type 2 Gold Dollar $1 Graded ms62+ By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 356 (Sale Order: 276 of 850)

***Auction Highlight*** 1855 Type 2 Gold Dollar $1 Graded ms62+ By SEGS. The 1855 gold dollar usually trades as a type coin, like its even more available counterpa...morert from the previous year. This high-end MS62 example exhibits well-detailed design elements, with the often-seen softness on the central reverse. The lustrous surfaces show only minor signs of contact, but some impressive clash marks are visible on both sides.

Lot # 357 (Sale Order: 277 of 850)

Lincoln Wheat cent 1c orig roll, 1909-s end, VDB other end. Lincoln Wheat cent 1c original Shotgun Roll, 1909-s on one end, VDB reverse on the other. Actual roll pictured...more is the roll you will get. A great original bank shotgun roll with very tight ends. From the feedback we have been receiving, people are happy with these rolls, nearly half the roll seems to be teens, all the rolls have a few Indians, most of the rolls have some steel cents, and a lot of the wheaties are mintmarks. These shotgun rolls are all from a new consignee. They are all frrom one Estate. This particular Roll shows a 1909-s on one end and a VDB reverse on the other end.

1934A $10 Silver Certificate North Africa WWII Emergency Currency Grades vf+

Lot # 359 (Sale Order: 279 of 850)

1934A $10 Silver Certificate North Africa WWII Emergency Currency Grades vf+. 1934A $10 Silver Certificate North Africa, Signatures Julian/Morganthau. It was the ...moredarkest days of World War II, just after Pearl Harbor. Were the Nazis under Field Marshall Rommel preparing a massive push through North Africa? If they did, and succedded, they could use the millions of dollars in currency the seized to buy war material. To thwart this, these Silver Certificates were sent to North Africa. Each has a yellow seal on the front. If the Nazis did succeed to over run our expeditiary force, the currency would be demonetized. After the threat passed, most of these "North Africa" Notes were destroyed. Today they're hard to find.

Military Payment Certificate (MPC) Series 692 25c Cents Grades Choice CU

Lot # 367 (Sale Order: 287 of 850)

Military Payment Certificate (MPC) Series 692 25c Cents Grades Choice CU. Series 692 military payment certificates might be described as the most American of any ...moreof the MPC notes issued between 1946 and 1973. The designers at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing used distinctly American vignettes like eagles, buffalos, and Native Americans. These were first introduced into circulation on October 7th, 1970 and withdrawn on March 15th, 1973. This is the last official series of military payment certificates ever issued by the United States. Series 692 MPCs were issued for eight different denominations. Like the prior three issues, these were exclusively used in Vietnam, which means that many came home with soldiers as souvenirs.

Lot # 376 (Sale Order: 296 of 850)

***Auction Highlight*** PCGS 1863 J-305 Pattern 2c Washington Graded pr63 bn By PCGS. PATTERN COIN - 1863 Pattern Washington Two-Cent Piece. Judd-305, Pollock-370....more Rarity-4. Proof-63 BN (PCGS).A bust of George Washington faces right on the obverse, the upper border inscribed with the motto GOD AND OUR COUNTRY and the lower border inscribed with the date 1863. The reverse exhibits the denomination 2 CENTS within a wreath of wheat, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the border. The word CENTS is markedly curved. Struck in copper or bronze with a plain edge.Gorgeous crimson-copper surfaces with no detracting blemishes to a sharply executed strike. CAC STICKERED, AND IN MY OPINION UNDERGRADED, LOOKS LIKE AN MS64 BN AND I THINK THE CAC STICKER ENDORSES THIS VIEW.
