***Auction Highlight*** 1852-p Fortin-114 R4 Seated Liberty Dime 10c Graded GEM+ Unc By USCG (fc)

Lot # 514 (Sale Order: 478 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1852-p Fortin-114 R4 Seated Liberty Dime 10c Graded GEM+ Unc By USCG. A phenomenal condition rarity from this early Philadelphia Mint entry...more in the Liberty Seated dime series. Bathed in intense, billowy, satin-textured luster to otherwise "old silver" surfaces. The appearance is charmingly original and accents a strike that is remarkably full for the issue (at least two other high grade survivors that we are familiar with are softly defined in isolated areas and cannot compete with this piece as far as striking quality is concerned). Expertly preserved to the point of being virtually pristine, it is little wonder than that this beauty is tied for finest 6th finest known. The 1852 dime is very scarce as are all 1850s Philadelphia Mint silver issue, most examples of which were hoarded and melted during the early California Gold Rush era. The typical survivor is circulated to one degree or another, however, with Mint State coins scarce in an absolute sense and rare above the MS-64 level. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1889-cc Morgan Dollar $1 Graded BU+ By USCG (fc)

Lot # 521 (Sale Order: 485 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1889-cc Morgan Dollar $1 Graded BU+ By USCG. The key issue in the Carson City Morgan dollar subset is the 1889-CC, an issue with a small mi...morentage of 350,000 pieces and an almost complete absence in the Treasury releases of the mid-20th century. Large numbers of circulated examples are known, suggesting that a substantial portion of the mintage was dispersed into commercial channels in the 19th century. Mint State survivors in any grade are scarce. This MS61 coin displays nice luster with attractive silver grey surfaces. Scattered abrasions include a couple of noticeable marks on the obverse, nothing out of line for the grade. I am including 2 other ms61 coins for your comparison. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

1925-d Buffalo Nickel 5c Grades Choice AU

Lot # 524 (Sale Order: 488 of 730)

1925-d Buffalo Nickel 5c Grades Choice AU. Difficult date. According to David Hall: The 1925-D is very scarce in circulated grades and rare in mint state. In Gem condti...moretion, it is the second rarest Denver Mint Buffalo of the 1920s after the 1927-D. Well struck examples can be found, but softness of strike on the Buffalo's horn and tail can also be seen on a significant number of mint state survivors. Luster is usually pretty good on this issue with a semi-frosty/satiny look.
