***Auction Highlight*** 1878-p 7/8tf Vam 37 7/4 I4 R4 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded GEM+ Unc By USCG (fc)

Lot # 694 (Sale Order: 630 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1878-p 7/8tf Vam 37 7/4 I4 R4 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded GEM+ Unc By USCG. Superb Colorful Toning visit this thoroughly lustrous and precisely...more struck silver dollar. The middle tail feathers are doubled south. The reverse is well preserved, and the obverse displays only scattered wispy marks. The doubled tailfeathers seen on several 1878 die varieties were caused by hubbing a Type Two reverse over a Type One reverse. Four of the original eight tailfeathers are still visible on this variety, along the bottom of the primary seven. This Strong 7/4 variety is scarce in high grade, as is the date in general at the MS65+ level. This Premium Gem is sharp and frosty. Tied for 3rd Finest in the Variety. Finest in the date are only 2 coins which are graded ms66+ at only 1 point higher. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1882-cc Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded BU+ By USCG (fc)

Lot # 700 (Sale Order: 636 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1882-cc Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded BU+ By USCG. This lovely example combines a richly lustrous reverse with a modestly semi-proof...more like obverse. Both sides are bathed in handsome deep honey-rose patina that provides an attractively original appearance. Sharply struck throughout with uncommonly smooth surfaces for the assigned grade. Only 39,140 double eagles were struck at the Carson City Mint in 1882 ($782,800 face value). Most of these circulated extensively on the West Coast, although others were shipped overseas and found their way into European bank hoards. Q. David Bowers estimated an Uncirculated population of 70 to 100 examples when he wrote his Guide Book to Double Eagles for Whitman in 2004. His estimate has stood the test of time. It is believed that many, and perhaps most of the high grade examples presently known have been imported from Europe in recent decades. Population reports are laden with resubmissions that do not represent different coins. What population reports do confirm without a doubt is that this lovely Mint State example ranks among the finest 1882-CC double eagles available to today's discerning numismatists. I am including 2 other ms61 examples for comparison. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** Continental Currency January 14, 1779 $60 CC-99 Sig. I. Leacock & R. Roberts

Lot # 701 (Sale Order: 637 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** Continental Currency January 14, 1779 $60 CC-99 Sig. I. Leacock & R. Roberts Grades CU Details. A very good looking $60 Note from the 11th ...moreand final issue of Continental Currency. Both signatures are dark and clear and the nature print on the back is sharply printed. Emissions totaling $95,051,695 payable in Spanish milled dollars, or the equivalent in gold or silver, were authorized by seven separate resolutions between January 14 and November 29, 1779. $50,000,000 of this was to be used to exchange the for the recall of the May 20, 1777 and April 11, 1778 issues. A new border cut used the legend "United States of North America" and on the reverse are a new series of leaf and cloth nature prints. Also emblems and mottos were cut in a smaller size and part of the emblem and left border of the obverse were printed in red with the remainder in black. Francis Hopkinson designed the new $35, $45, $70 and $80 bills (the last two replacing the $7 and $8), others designed the new $55 and $65 bills. Detector bills were printed in red and black on blue paper. By the date of this issue the Congress officially valued the currency at $7.42 in Contenental dollars for $1 in specie. Printed by Hall and Sellers Philadelphia The paper, made at Ivy Mills in Chester County, Pennsylvania, contained blue fibers and mica flakes. Denominations printed were the: $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $20, $30, $35, $40, $45, $50, $55, $60, $65, $70 and $80.

***Auction Highlight*** 1884-s Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Select Unc By USCG (fc)

Lot # 702 (Sale Order: 638 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1884-s Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Select Unc By USCG. This is an attractive and desirable Uncirculated specimen of an eagerly sought Morgan do...morellar. Virtually Proof Like surfaces, an extreme rarity on the 84-s. It is boldly to sharply struck throughout with a very attractive appearance for the assigned grade. The 1884-S is one of the most famous condition rarities in the Morgan dollar series. Though 3.2 million pieces were struck -- a generous total for the type -- the vast majority were spent and spent again in local commerce, and today the typical grade may be EF or AU, with many survivors well below those grades. The scarcity and value of this issue increases exponentially in Mint State, where it becomes a significant challenge for advanced Morgan specialists. Clearly the present offering represents an important opportunity in today's market. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1914-d Lincoln Cent 1c Graded Select Unc BN By USCG (fc)

Lot # 704 (Sale Order: 640 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1914-d Lincoln Cent 1c Graded Select Unc BN By USCG. A lovely satin example of this Denver key, showing pumpkin-orange surfaces bursting th...morerough the surface at almost all locations. The coin is just on the edge of Red Brown. The strike is sharp, and only a few specks are seen. The 1914-D is significantly more elusive in Mint State than the more highly heralded 1909-S VDB. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin

***Auction Highlight*** 1855 Braided Hair Half Cent 1/2c Graded Choice+ Unc BN By USCG (fc)

Lot # 709 (Sale Order: 645 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1855 Braided Hair Half Cent 1/2c Graded Choice+ Unc BN By USCG. Per Ron Guth of PCGS : The Braided Hair half cents boast some of the lowest minta...moreges of any U.S. coin types and are among the best values, as well. Every date in this type boasts a low mintage. By way of comparison, the mintage of the any Braided hair Half Cent is almost a fraction of the mintage of the 1909-S VDB Lincoln Cent (a far more valuable coin), making this an excellent value.

***Auction Highlight*** 1925-d Saint-Gaudens $20 Graded Select Unc By USCG (fc)

Lot # 710 (Sale Order: 646 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1925-d Saint-Gaudens $20 Graded Select Unc By USCG. Lovely Choice Mint State quality for this challenging Roaring Twenties double eagle is...moresue. Bathed in blended frosty luster and light pinkish-orange patina, both sides are sharply struck from the rims to the centers. Judging by the number of coins produced -- 2,938,500 pieces -- the 1925-D should be among the more available Saint-Gaudens double eagles. This is not the case, however, as much of the mintage remained in government storage when gold specie payments were suspended in the early 1930s. These undistributed coins were later melted, mostly in 1937. As a result the 1925-D is among the rarest double eagles of its type, ranking 14th out of 53 issues among circulation strike Saint-Gaudens coins. Most Mint State survivors have been repatriated from overseas, where a small percentage of this mintage was shipped during the early 20th century. A pleasing example for the assigned grade, this piece will be just right for an advanced cabinet. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin
