***Auction Highlight*** 1919-s Buffalo Nickel 5c Graded Choice+ Unc BY USCG (fc)

Lot # 84 (Sale Order: 77 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1919-s Buffalo Nickel 5c Graded Choice+ Unc BY USCG. According to David Hall, the 1919-s is scarce in circulated grades. Most of the killer rari...moreties in the Buffalo nickel series are the 1918 thru 1927 San Francisco issues. The 1919-S Buffalo nickel is not difficult to locate in MS64 condition, but examples with a sharp strike are quite elusive. This attractive Plus-graded Choice specimen offers unusually sharp design elements and well-preserved lustrous surfaces, under vivid shades of ice-blue and greenish-gold toning A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 In Halves Dunes Hotel Las Vegas 1923 & 'P' Walker En

Lot # 91 (Sale Order: 84 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 In Halves Dunes Hotel Las Vegas 1923 & 'P' Walker Ends. Up for auction is a Consignment I have secured a collection...more of old 1960’s Las Vegas Casino Half Dollar Shot Gun Rolls from various Casinos. These Rolls contain 20 Half Dollars. They have tight ends and are wild!. I opened three rolls to examine the contents and what I found was mostly Circulated Walkers, a few Franklins and a Seated coin or two and a couple of Barbers. But after I opened the rolls, I wished I hadn’t as they were so cool as antique Las Vegas Half Rolls. I have only seen a handful of these ever. The consignee has given us some additional rolls. We estimate the rolls to be worth $2000 each as a collectable antique, but if the roll is opened and has a rare date, who knows the value, a 1921 Walker even in low grade is worth over $500, and several other dates are worth over $200 each. But who knows, maybe a rare 1878-s Seated is inside. ($35k in g4), or an 1892-o Barber ($5k in G4). In any event the rolls themselves are amazing collectibles of a bygone era of the Rat pack and Las Vegas. From the rolls we have received there are 10 different casinos. Good Luck.

***Auction Highlight*** 1886-p Rainbow Toned vam 6b R5 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded GEM+++ Unc By USCG (f

Lot # 97 (Sale Order: 90 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** 1886-p Rainbow Toned vam 6b R5 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded GEM+++ Unc By USCG. An extraordinary condition rarity in an 1886 silver dollar, this...more brilliant Superb Gem allows ready appreciation of frosty cartwheel luster. The strike is razor sharp throughout, and the surfaces are expectably smooth for the assigned grade. A spectacular rainbow crescent tone encompasses ¾ of the obverse rim, while the reverse remains pristine. The 1886 is one of the more common Morgan dollars in Mint State. As with so many issues in this series, however, MS-68 is the grade level at which the words "ultra rare" become applicable for the 1886. Among the finest certified examples in both the date and the type, this virtually pristine beauty would do justice to any high quality type or date set. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** Continental Currency January 14, 1779 $70 CC-101 Sig. G. Snowden & W.Gamble

Lot # 101 (Sale Order: 94 of 730)

***Auction Highlight*** Continental Currency January 14, 1779 $70 CC-101 Sig. G. Snowden & W.Gamble Grades Select CU. A very nice example of this final Continenta...morel Issue. This $70 denomination was produced only in this final issue and comes under considerable additional collector pressure for that reason, as it's needed for a denomination set. The margins come a bit close in a few spots, but they are primarily quite large, and the back is very well centere. Emissions totaling $95,051,695 payable in Spanish milled dollars, or the equivalent in gold or silver, were authorized by seven separate resolutions between January 14 and November 29, 1779. $50,000,000 of this was to be used to exchange the for the recall of the May 20, 1777 and April 11, 1778 issues. A new border cut used the legend "United States of North America" and on the reverse are a new series of leaf and cloth nature prints. Also emblems and mottos were cut in a smaller size and part of the emblem and left border of the obverse were printed in red with the remainder in black. Francis Hopkinson designed the new $35, $45, $70 and $80 bills (the last two replacing the $7 and $8), others designed the new $55 and $65 bills. Detector bills were printed in red and black on blue paper. By the date of this issue the Congress officially valued the currency at $7.42 in Contenental dollars for $1 in specie. Printed by Hall and Sellers Philadelphia The paper, made at Ivy Mills in Chester County, Pennsylvania, contained blue fibers and mica flakes. Denominations printed were the: $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $20, $30, $35, $40, $45, $50, $55, $60, $65, $70 and $80.
