1918 $1 National Currency Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, MA fr-708 "Flying Eagle" Grades f+

Lot # 112 (Sale Order: 76 of 618)

1918 $1 National Currency Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, MA fr-708 "Flying Eagle" Grades f+. There are three different years found on series of 1918 one dollar b...moreills.  Despite also saying 1914 and 1913, these are referred to by collectors as 1918 federal reserve bank notes.  Collectors have given this note the nickname of the “Flying Eagle.”  The back of the note shows why the bill received its nickname. Keep in mind that series of 1918 one dollar federal reserve bank notes were issued for 12 different banks. The artwork will all be the same though.  George Washington is on the left hand side of the bill.  There is a blue seal on the right hand side of the bill and the serial numbers are in blue ink.

Lot # 124 (Sale Order: 84 of 618)

***Auction Highlight*** 1915-s Gold Indian Half Eagle $5 Graded Select Unc By USCG. Attractive medium gold and rose-apricot surfaces are nicely defined over the fo...morecal features. The peripheries shows signs of die fatigue, typical of the issue, but the S mintmark is fully outlined and readily appreciable. One of the leading condition rarities in the Indian half eagle series of 1908 to 1929, the 1915-S (just 164,000 pieces produced) is scarce to rare in all Mint State grades. With Choice and Gem-quality examples particularly elusive, this lovely MS-62 represents the finest realistically obtainable for most advanced gold enthusiasts. ***Auction Highlight*** 1915-s Panama Pacific Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded ms63 details By SEGS

Lot # 131 (Sale Order: 91 of 618)

***Auction Highlight*** 1915-s Panama Pacific Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded ms63 details By SEGS. Exceptionally Rare Commemorative. The Pan Pac was Minted Along with...more 4 Other Coins to Commemorate the Completion of the Panama Canal and Distributed at the Panama Pacific Exposition in San Francisco which also Celebrated the Renewal of San Francisco since the Great Fire. When Examining the Pan Pac Half Dollar, Note that there is a Problem with Pan-Pac Halves in its Strike: Weakness is often Evident on Columbia’s Head, Cap, Arm and Body, also on the Eagle's Breast Feathers and Claws. Occasionally, Coins are seen with a Rim Indentation Near the Periphery on Each Side; this is a Mint Caused Problem and Should Not Be Factored Into the Grade. When Grading Lightly Circulated Examples, Friction is First Evident on Columbia's Shoulder and on the Eagle's Breast.

*HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT* 1894-p Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms66 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 141 (Sale Order: 99 of 618)

***Auction Highlight*** 1894-p Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms66 By SEGS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT – Up for Auction is a Near TOP POP, 1894-p Key Date Morgan Dollar. The mo...moredel for the Morgan dollar, Ms. Anna Williams, was apparently unaffected by the celebrity status bestowed upon her by the hundreds of millions of silver dollars that showed her profile. The following commentary was included in her obituary in The Numismatist in 1926: "The story of how Miss Williams came to be the model has not been told often. She was besieged for the story many times, but in later years she smilingly referred to it as 'an incident of my youth,' and preferred to talk of her work in the kindergarten schools of the city (Philadelphia) which she supervised." The portrait of Ms. Williams is the critical area for grading Mint State Morgan dollars. It is seldom found unblemished with a smooth, rounded cheek. This is especially true for the 1894, the second scarcest Philadelphia issue in the series. Several bags and numerous rolls were released in the 1950s and 1960s, but most of these coins were lower graded examples in the MS60-64 range. To date, the finest known is a single MS66+, a half point from our coin. As mentioned, the portrait of Liberty is remarkably smooth and free from the abrasions normally encountered. The surfaces are smooth, satiny, and mostly brilliant throughout with some attractive rim toning. Each side is fully struck with fine detailing over the ear of Liberty as well as the breast of the eagle. A rare opportunity for the Morgan specialist. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1890-cc Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms65+ By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 143 (Sale Order: 100 of 618)

***Auction Highlight*** 1890-cc Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms65+ By SEGS. The 1890-CC is among the more conditionally scarce Morgan dollars from the Carson City Mint, poo...morerly represented in the GSA sales of the 1970s. This high-end Gem example displays frosty, brilliant luster and outstanding visual appeal. The strike is sharp throughout. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation
