Superb estate find
This military firearm is in great condition considering age and use
This model was used by the French Army and Navy through WWII
Is based on the Chanelot-Delvigne patent with their solid frame, fixed cylinder, and rod ejection
Fluted cylinder is the major difference between the Model 1874 and earlier Model 1873 which was produced in far greater numbers
Checkered wood panel grips are very good as shown, also included lanyard ring
Hammer and trigger work great
Retains good amount of original bluing as shown
The top of the barrel is marked Mle 1874, the right side is marked S. 1876
Proof marks and inspection stamps are on the pistol
Right side of frame above front of the trigger guard is marked Mre d'Armes over St Etienne
