Sherping, Hannover, double barrel pinfire sporting gun. 30.6 inch damaskas barrels have an exquisite and unique look with a single rib through the middle a...morend single bead front sight. Rib is signed and has multiple makers marks. Beautifully engraved band at breech, border, scroll engraved long top tang, border and back action locks with carved and engraved hammers. Forearm is finely detailed with checkering, strawed details and smooth base. Slight crack in forearm near the front but appears stable. Pistol grip is checkered with a smooth buttstock that has some minor mars from age and a wonderfully checkered metal buttplate. The triggers and trigger guard bring an extra tasteful appearance. Dual sling rings at the base of the firearm. All wood pieces of the firearm have a nice, dark patina. Raised cheek piece on the buttstock. Overall in very good condition for its age and has exquisite detail! Notes: Scherping was a favored maker to the Hanoverian Royal Family with many weapons of this quality being so acquired.
