Colt Third Generation SAA revolver, Class “A” factory engraved, .44 Special caliber, 5.5” barrel, nickel finish, smooth hardwood medallion grips, S/N SA27125; in near ...morenew condition with two extra cylinders (.44-40 and .44 S) and factory lined presentation case (that also accommodates the two extra cylinders. Also accompanied by a Colt factory letter confirming features and noting shipment to Aeromarine in Birmingham, AL on April 17, 1984, one gun in shipment; also Remarks: “Work processed on Custom Shop Order 2615. It is interesting to note this firearm was returned to the factory to have a new engraved cylinder fitted on August 28, 1984 against Repair Order 218015, and again returned on December 10, 1984 against Repair Order 218824 for fitting of a non-engraved .44/40 and .44 Special cylinder. Colt Model U.S. 1861 Special percussion Musket, .58 caliber, 40” barrel, “in the white” finish, wood stock, barrel and lock plate both dated 1864; with bayonet and le...moreather U.S. cartridge box; overall fine condition with metal surfaces retaining their arsenal bright finish with just some scattered light stains here and there and dried grease in protected areas; fine bore, rear sight and trigger are blued and retain most of that finish. The stock is fine overall with two tiny (1/2”) hairline cracks just to the rear of the lock plate, a couple of tiny dings and the customary light packing crate bruises at the sides of the heel. “AWM” and “JT” cartouches and “EMW” cartouche are sharp. Custom Remington Model 700 bolt action rifle, approximately .33 caliber, Serial #E6262498. The rifle is in fine overall condition with a 27” fluted stainless steel co...morempensated bull barrel. The barrel is not caliber marked but measures approximately .33 caliber. The receiver retains nearly all of its blue finish with an oversize target bolt handle added and hinged magazine floor plate. The H-S Precision synthetic stock is in very good condition with a solid rubber butt pad providing a 14” LOP. The bore is very good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp. The rifle is topped with quick detach rings and bases and a Leupold LPS 3.5 x 14 x 52 variable power rifle scope with an adjustable objective with clear, crisp optics. Ithaca marked Perazzi Comp I Over/Under shotgun, 12 gauge, Serial #45564. The shotgun is in fine overall condition with 30” barrels with a full-length ventilated rib ...more with an ivory bead front sight. Chambered for 2 ¾” shells, the barrels are marked, “MADE IN ITALY” and retain nearly all of their blue finish with small mars and wear at the muzzles. Additionally, the barrels are marked Perazzi on the right side of the chamber and Ithaca on the left. The engraved receiver is beautifully case hardened with vivid case color. The finely checkered wood stocks are in good condition with mars and compressions consistent field use. The fore end features a Deeley style release lever. There is some flaking of finish on top of the butt stock, which ends with a solid rubber recoil pad providing a 14 ½” LOP to a single trigger. The lot includes a set of screw-in chokes. Lot # 255 (Sale Order: 261 of 1574)      

U. S. Model 1850 officer’s sword with fancy brass mounted scabbard and hilt; period inscribed “Presented to Capt. Thomas C. Kendall by the members of Co. B., 21st New ...more Jersey Vols., July 1st, 1863”. The left side of the guard is bent but is otherwise good with sharkskin grip showing some minor wear and aging with slight losses and good tight brass wire wrap. The scabbard shows most of its original blue/brown finish with some minor scratches and normal aging. The blade shows a standard etched-type “U.S.” with American Eagle and is in good condition with just normal aging and slight erosion. The blade shows a “Clauberg, Solingen” marking. Accompanied by copies of National Archives military and pension records indicating Kendall enlisted on Aug. 29, 1862, as a Captain, was commissioned into Co. B, 21st New Jersey Infantry on Sept. 15, 1862, was present at the Battle of Fredericksburg and fought at the Battle of Salem Heights, VA., where he was taken prisoner after being severely wounded in the right leg requiring amputation. P. Beretta Diamond Pigeon Model S687 EELL Over/Under shotgun, 20 gauge, Serial #MO 2883B. The shotgun is in fine overall condition with 28” barrels with a full-length...more ventilated rib and a steel bead front sight. The barrels retain nearly all of their blue finish and are marked made in Italy, chambering both 2 ¾” and 3” shells. The receiver is coin finished and beautifully engraved with scroll and game scenes. The work is signed by the engraver, Bottega C. Giovanelli, at the base of the trigger guard. The finely checkered high gloss wood stocks are in very good condition with beautiful figure and graining, particularly in the butt stock, which ends with a solid rubber recoil pad providing a 14 ¾” LOP to a single gold trigger. There is a blank gold tone escutcheon plate in the base of the butt stock as well. The lot includes a full set of screw-in chokes and Beretta factory luggage case. Rare early brass Colt powder flask embossed with cannons and flags including a “Lone Star” flag plus two crossed Paterson rifles and two crossed Paterson revolvers; a...morepproximately 9” overall including spout, un-cleaned and with a beautiful patina. Accompanied by a two page type written letter from Jim Meeks (a well-known collector of Colts), dated Oct. 2000, stating in part that he first saw this old flask in the late 1960’s in his father-in-law’s collection, the famous collector of antique Colts, Dr. Robert Dalrymple who told Meeks the flask belonged to Brigham Young and was given to him by Young’s great grandson who was a patient of the Doctor’s. The letter goes on to state Meeks follow-up with descendants of the Youngs and other individuals known to the Young family on the history of Dr. Dalrymple’s relationship with the family over his lifetime.
