Silver plaque inlaid is period script inscribed “Stephen Lowery”. Throat of scabbard is inscribed “Co. G. 4th Reg”. The scabbard retains throat, tip, and hanging button and is good to very good with some warpage from being carried and exposure. An interesting and exceptional Civil War Bowie that should be further researched as to identity of Stephen Lowery. Measures 12” overall with a 8” blade. Est.: $2000-$4000

Fine silk embroidery of man in classic farmer dress signed lower right. 12 1/2" x 9 1/2" with original paperwork stating by Mr. Seipo Sakamaki of Saitama, Japan. Sak...moreamaki was born in 1894 and worked for Imperial Household . He embroidered the Emperors 1928 Coronation flag. The Japanese government requested him to continue work during the war to preserve the cultural art. After WWII he embroidered the imperial crest (Crysanthemum) on the cover of Japan's Ratification of Peace sent to the US. He was active in the 1950's. Obtained by U.S. Army Officer Major Cable on duty 1955-1960 in Japan. Mint in original frame in it's cardboard box. Arguably the best Japanese embroiderer of the 20th Century!! Est. $350-700

Colt .38 rimfire Pocket Navy conversion finely open vine scroll factory style engraved, blue and case colored finish, select varnished grips, S/N 19913 I. E. with 4 ½...more” plugged barrel using percussion parts. This revolver shows finely cut open vine scroll with 80%-90% bright blue and case colors remaining. The select varnished wood grips are excellent. The hammer shows insertion of firing pin through engraving indicating engraved as percussion and most likely never sold by factory until converting. The grips fit impeccably and are original to this Colt. Minor scratches and normal aging. Crisp action and bright bore. All matching including cylinder. Very few original engraved conversions are encountered with the desirable blue and case colored finish. (Antique) Est.: $5,000-$10,000
