Lot # 1153 (Sale Order: 151 of 384)
Our Assessment: This a Winchester Model 94 Carbine in .30-30 WCF that was made in 1957. The .30-30 is perhaps the most popular deer cartridge in America, and the 94 chambered for this classic round is nearly synonymous with "deer rifle". This rifle is in Fine condition with 96% of its metal finish remaining, minor wear in the stocks and strong mechanics. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. This rifle could be back out in the field dropping deer for another lifetime. As a pre-64 example of the 94 Carbine in its condition, it would also be a nice addition to a Winchester collection missing a post-war 94 Carbine. Please see our photos and good luck!

Lot # 1158 (Sale Order: 156 of 384)

Serial Matching Remington Model 14 .30 Rem 22" Pump Action Rifle
Lot # 1162 (Sale Order: 160 of 384)
Our Assessment: With Marlin and Winchester owning the Lever Action market, Remington was looking for a way to bolster sales in other categories. The Model 8 was a semi-automatic rifle, introduced in 1908, and while sales were decent, they were not what was hoped for. As a result of these two facts, Remington gave the high-powered rifle market another shot with a Pump Action. John Pedersen, the inventor of the Pedersen device used on rifles in WWI, had already designed several Remington shotguns. He was given the assignment to design a high-power pump to compete with Marlin & Winchester's lever actions. In 1913, Remington introduced the Model 14 pump - or slide-action rifle in four chamberings, .25, .30, .32 and .35 Remington. Two design features that were particularly novel were the spiral magazine tube that prevented the point of one bullet from resting on the primer of the next cartridge, and how the magazine itself moved with the fore-end. This one is a 1931 example based on its serial number and is in Very Good Condition. It has been upgraded with nice looking checkered walnut stocks with a capped pistol grip and cheekpiece. This will be a nice addition to your arsenal. Please see our photos and good luck!

Refinished Remington Model 25 .32-20 WCF Pump Action Takedown Rifle
Lot # 1164 (Sale Order: 162 of 384)
Our Assessment: Back in 1908 Remington wanted something to compete with Winchester's famed Model 94 and the faster, smoother operation of a pump gun had a lot of advantages. John Pedersen, the inventor of the Pedersen device used on rifles in WWI, had already designed several Remington shotguns. He was given the assignment to design a high-power pump to compete with Winchester's lever actions. That he did and the Model 14 was launched in 1912. It utilized the family of rimless cartridges introduced with the John Browning designed Remington Model 8, a semi-auto rifle. The Model 25 rifle was created in 1923 to work with the rimmed pistol cartridges made popular in the Winchester lever action rifles. This rifle is a Remington Model 25 chambered in .32-20 WCF and made in 1928 by the date code on the barrel. The rifle is in about Very Good overall condition as refinished about 96% of its new metal finish remaining, a strong bore and good mechanics. This will make a neat addition to a Remington or pump-action rifle collection. Please see our photos and good luck!

Handsome Restored Savage Model 1903 .22 S L LR 24" Pump Action Rifle
Lot # 1165 (Sale Order: 163 of 384)
Our Assessment: The Savage Model 1903 is unusual in that it is a pump-action rifle that does not have a tubular magazine. Instead, it uses a detachable box style magazine that would appear at home with a bolt action rifle. By removing the large screw head on the receiver this rifle can be taken down for compact storage or transport, and this also allows easy access to the chamber and bore for cleaning purposes. This an interesting rifle that showcases what Savage did to differentiate their design from other .22 pump-action rifles on the market. The box magazine, tang safety, and hammerless design made it different from the Winchester offerings and still makes it an interesting rifle for C&R collectors. This one looks great and has been restored with a new case colored and blued finish and has been relined so it will be fun to shoot. Please see our photographs and good luck!
