After mastering the different process's of stockbuilding, LeRoy moved into the assembly and customer service areas. In 1995, Dan Cooper hired LeRoy to set up and run the STOCK SHOP, a new business, where LeRoy supervised and built HIGH GRADe over under shotgun sets for a Connecticut based company called CVC. In 1997, COOPeR ARMS and CVC merged, bringing LeRoy back under the COOPeR ARMS umbrella, where he was handed the wood shop once again. LeRoy had a number of stock designs he developed, two of which were for the ANSCHUTZ USA project, a sporter and a mannlicher, based around the Anschutz 1710 action. These received high marks with the writers and the public. In the spring of 1998, LeRoy left COOPeR ARMS for a short hiatus, but was convinced to come back and run the wood shop in 1999.In the years that followed, LeRoy built many custom stocks around different actions thru COOPeR ARMS, along with supervising, designing and producing Coopers own line, which includes the JACKSON SQUIRReL rifle and others. In 2001, LeRoy's future wife, Connie, started learning the fine art of high grade checkering, also a COOPeR ARMS employee, where she excelled. Thru her background as a wildlife artist and having a fine eye for detail and design, she is equally important in the overall success and unmatched quality and beauty of a CANYON CReeK stock. In 2004 LeRoy was encouraged by Dan Cooper himself, to start producing his own custom products. Remington Model 700 BDL .223 Rem 24" Bolt Action Rifle
Lot # 1355 (Sale Order: 353 of 384)
Our Assessment: The Remington 700 needs no introduction, it has been one of the most popular bolt action rifles in America for decades, seeing use in target shooting, hunting, and in law enforcement. Remington had been producing sporting rifles for decades, but their Post-WWI Model 30 Sporter took too much time and money to make, plus it required too much milling. After WWII they designed the Model 721 which used a receiver made of bar stock, meaning it could be turned on a lathe, cutting production time and cost. The basic design of the 721 went through further developments under the direction of engineer Mike Walker, and Remington went on to produce the Model 722 and Model 725, and finally, in 1962, the Model 700 was born. With the design, Walker desired to increase accuracy over previous designs so tight bore & chamber tolerances, a short lead, and fast lock time were used. Since its inception in 1962, it has been produced in just about any caliber and configuration you could think of. If it hasn't there are custom parts and gunsmiths out there to get it exactly how you like. The 700 is a classic in the truest sense of the word and has seen its fair share of use in just about any role you could imagine a bolt action rifle being used for. It has shaped firearms history as mentioned above and has been a mainstay in movies, TV, and videogames. It shows no signs of falling out of favor after its meteoric rise, and even after Remington filed for bankruptcy and restructured, new models can be found on their new website. This a piece of history, both firearms and American, and something everyone needs at least one of. If you don't have one yet, why not? This 700 BDL looks good and is a great 700 to pick up, no matter if it's your first or fiftieth. Please see our photos and good luck in your bidding!

Remington Model 700 ADL 6mm Rem. 22" Bolt Action Rifle & Accessories
Lot # 1357 (Sale Order: 355 of 384)
Our Assessment: The Remington 700 was introduced in 1962 and was accompanied by a new Remington round, the 7mm Magnum. The duo were a supernova the industry was not ready for, but the people were. In 1963 Winchester launched their counter-offensive and put out the .300 Winchester Magnum. Remington had already been crushing it with sales of the 870 and had introduced a philosophy, which is still used today, of parts interchangeability. Perhaps the Remington 700 was the proverbial "straw that broke the camel’s back" for Winchester. It likely didn’t hurt that the 700 was new and nobody had preconceived notions of what it should be while the Model 70 was already beloved and was being changed for the worse, but nonetheless, Winchester zigged and Remington zagged. A year after the .300 Win Mag was put to market, the onslaught from Remington was too much, Winchester cut costs and streamlined manufacturing across the board (most collectors already know this as it spurred the Winchester collecting terms Pre-64 and Post-64) while the Big Green scaled up and had out three variants with numerous calibers in the early 1960s. The ADL, BDL, and BDL Magnum. Introductory prices for standard calibers were $114.95 for the ADL and $139.95 for the BDL. Prices for magnum versions of the BDL were $154.95 for the .264 Win. Mag., 7 mm Rem. Mag and .300 Win. Mag. and $310 for the .375 H&H Mag. and .458 Win. Mag. In the first three years alone, rifles in the hot new 7mm Rem Mag outsold the tried and true .30-06 and .270 Win…combined! With other companies cutting costs, Remington did something different and went the other way…completely on brand for them, ha! The old Magnum 700s were made of stainless steel due to hunters of the time not wanting anything but blued finishes, something that sounds funny today. Sportsman of the time wanted nothing other than a traditional blued finish, and as the old adage goes "when money talks, people listen." Remington sure did listen and went to great expense to layer on coats of different material so that the blue would adhere to the stainless guns. They have gone through many changes and updates over the years and will likely continue to do so.The 700 is a classic in the truest sense of the word and has seen its fair share of use in just about any role you could imagine a bolt action rifle being used for. If you don’t have one yet, why not? Springfield 1903 Sporter Aperture Sight .30-06 Bolt Action Rifle
Lot # 1359 (Sale Order: 357 of 384)
Our Assessment: When the US Army was looking for a rifle design to replace the 1898 Krag rifle, they looked directly at the Spanish Model 1893 Mauser. This was due to the fact that the performance of the Model 1893 Mauser was far superior than that of the 1898 Krag during the Spanish-American War. The Model 1903 is basically a redesigned Mauser clone. A U.S. Patent Court eventually found that the U.S. Army had violated Mauser's patents and required the U.S. Army to pay the German Mauser manufacturers patent royalties. Payments were stopped once WWI started. The 1903 has a strong reliable action that served the Army for over thirty years in two world wars. The 1903A3 is an improved version of the 1903 rifle that was introduced in 1942. The most significant change was the switch to a receiver bridge-mounted rear aperture sight. This Springfield Armory Model 1903 was made in 1918, the barrel was made in 1942, it has been rebuilt and refinished. It includes a sight protector and attached green canvas sling. This 1903 is in Very Nice condition, it looks impressive for a 100 year old military bolt action rifle. This 1903 has good Springfield markings on the receiver and 1942 marked barrel. This 1903 has a Fine bore, strong mechanics, nice Blued finish and a well preserved wood stock. This well maintained rifle will be perfect for target practice at the range. Please see our photos, good luck and happy bidding!

The wood shows light scrapes and compression marks. The grip has been shaped. The LOP measures 13" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks rate in about Very Good overall condition, as refurbished.
Type of Finish: Blue
Finish Originality: Refinished
Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and has deep rifling. The muzzle & grooves are light gray due to fouling and light erosion. The bore has an M.E. of 0.7. In this writer's opinion and for the age, the bore rates a 8 out of 10. Many military and C&R eligible weapons have bores that will show erosion. This not only due to age but to the fact that corrosive primers were commonly used in ammunition worldwide. For example, the U.S. used corrosive ammunition throughout WWII. The U.S. military did not begin to phase out corrosive-primed ammunition until the 1950's.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its metal finish. The metal shows light handling marks. The barrel and bottom metal show freckling of light surface erosion. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good Plus condition as refinished.

Our Assessment: The Palma Trophy Match is one of, if not the most prestigious long-range rifle competitions in the world. Its history goes back to 1873, when the first International Long Range Rifle match was hosted by the Creedmoor Range in Queens, New York. Teams from Ireland the United States participated in this first match with a second match held in 1874 at the Dollymount Range in Ireland, with the United States winning both matches. The National Rifle Association of America organized the first Palma Trophy Match in 1876 to celebrate the American Centennial, commissioning a massive seven and a half foot trophy from Tiffany's for $1,500 (nearly $40,000 in 2022!). The name was taken from the trophy, a replica of a Roman standard which had "PALMA" replacing "SPQR" across the top of the standard, Latin for "victory/valor".The matches consist of strings of fire at distances of 800, 900, and 1,000 yards. The first matches were fired with muzzle-loading rifles and there were simple overall weight and trigger weight restrictions. Matches were held intermittently with the rules for the 1901 match updated to require each nation's team to use a domestic military rifle and in 1968 the rules were updated again to require that the team's rifles be identical guns provided by the host nation. In 1968, 1971, and 1976, the United States hosted the Palma Trophy Match and selected the Winchester Model 70 for the rifle to be used by all competitors. These rifles were not standard Winchester Target models, but rather rifles specially built by Winchester's Custom Shop. The Palma Trophy Match Model 70 was never cataloged and never offered for sale to the public, only provided to the teams at the U.S. hosted Palma matches. The barrels used for the 1971 rifles were longer, heavier profiled and had counter-bored muzzles. Their actions and the chamber area of the barrels were glass-bedded to the stocks with the remainder of the barrels free-floating. Intriguingly, their receivers are slotted for clip-loading and the bolts were factory-jeweled. The 1971 model differed from the 1968 by having an upgraded front sight, a matte finish on the barrel, and an externally adjustable trigger. It also received a new Palma Trophy Match roll-mark on the right of the barrel celebrating the National Rifle Association's Centennial. This example of the 1971 Palma Trophy Match rifle is in Fine condition with a strong bright bore. It should be noted that the United States hosted at Camp Perry in 1971 and also won. We have not been able to find documentation of whether this individual rifle was used by the American or the visiting Canadian, Australian or Great Britain teams. The rifle has all of the correct features and markings of the 1971 Match rifles. This will make a nice addition to a Winchester collection or a collection of long range competition rifles. With approximately 100 rifles made for the 1971 Match, an opportunity such as this doesn't come by every day.

Remington 7615 Police Pump Action Parkerized 16.5" 5.56 Nato/ .223 Rem Rifle
Lot # 1363 (Sale Order: 361 of 384)
Our Assessment: This a Remington Model 7615 Police pump action rifle chambered for 5.56 NATO. The 7615 is a member of the 7600 family, itself a descendant of the 760. The Model 760 was introduced after WWII, during the war the company had to streamline production and use more economical methods and materials. This caused issues since these new practices could not be adapted to their pre-war designs, thus the 760 was born and replaced the Model 141 pump action. The 7600 is like the earlier 760 with some updates to the action and was introduced in 1981. This one is a Police Model and what makes it handy is that it can take the same magazines as your AR-15, thus dubbed the 7615. The purpose of the design was to give police officers the same operation as their Model 870 shotguns but with a rifle. With its slick pump action design and 16 1/2" barrel, it's a fairly compact and fast-handling gun which will allow for rapid follow-up shots. The rifle has nice adjustable iron sights. The bore is stellar and there is no reason to think that with the proper care this rifle won't last a few lifetimes. Please see our photos and good luck in your bidding!

A&W engineering Diverter Remington Model 870 Wingmaster 12 GA Folding Pump Shotgun
Lot # 1366 (Sale Order: 364 of 384)
Our Assessment: Remington had always wanted to best the Winchester Model 12, and when they realized it could not be done with the bottom ejecting Model 17, they introduced the Model 31. The Model 31 was made from 1931 to 1949 and was Remington's first-ever side-ejecting shotgun. It did well, but it too was not up to the task of beating the Model 12. With less than 200,000 produced of all gauges combined, the Model 31 would soon be discontinued, but elements of its design would be carried on to a new shotgun that would become one of the most popular guns ever made. In 1950, Remington introduced their new modern, streamlined, rugged, reliable, and relatively inexpensive shotgun – the 870. They reached two million guns by 1973 (ten times the number of Model 31 shotguns it replaced). As of 1983, the 870 held the record for the best-selling shotgun in history with three million sold. They have been used by militaries, police departments, and sportsmen all over the world. It has survived the years phenomenally, look great and has a very attractive folding "Law enforcement Only" stock. This will be a nice gun to take into the field or challenge yourself on a closed tactical course. Please see our photos and good luck!

Our Assessment: Designed by Wayne Leek and Robert Kelley, the Remington Model 1100 was introduced in 1963 as a successor to the model 58 and 878 gas-operated shotguns. Remington 1100 Semi Automatic 28 Gauge Lightweight 26" Skeet Shotgun
Lot # 1371 (Sale Order: 369 of 384)
Our Assessment: Designed by Wayne Leek and Robert Kelley, the Remington Model 1100 was introduced in 1963 as a successor to the model 58 and 878 gas-operated shotguns. The Model 58s had supplanted the recoil operated Model 11-48, which retained the long recoil action of John Browning's original design, present in the Remington Model 11 and the Auto-5. All models of the 1100 are gas operated with a mechanism that noticeably reduces recoil. The Remington Model 1100 ushered in the era of successful and reliable gas-actuated autoloading shotguns, and it is the best selling autoloading shotgun in U.S. history. The Model 1100 holds a record for shells fired out of an autoloading shotgun without malfunction, cleaning, or parts breakage with a record of over 24,000 rounds. The record was set in 1978 with a Remington model 1100 LT-20. Breaking this record has been attempted with several other models of semi-auto shotguns with no luck.
This 28 Ga shotgun comes with a fixed skeet choked 26" barrel with a bright bore, solid mechanics. If you're looking for a dependable field gun that has performed for decades, consider adding this Model 1100 to your arsenal!

Winchester Model 12 Limited edition Grade I 20 GA Pump Shotgun & Box

Our Assessment: What a gun! Winchester had discontinued the Model 12, but had limited production from Miroku in the early-mid '90s, making this a first opportunity for some and a last opportunity for many to get their hands on new production guns.
