This is my fourth year raising market lambs and my last year in 4-H. This fall I am starting my sophomore year at Penn State University as a Biology major, where I am also involved in extracurricular activities including the Block and Bridle Club. I would like to thank my parents and siblings for all of their help taking care of my animals while I was away at college and throughout the summer. They are both wethers and their tags ar...moree 1 & 2, so I decided to name them Thing One and Thing Two. My favorite part of raising my own lambs is lambing season. My family enjoys working with the ewes and baby lambs together. It is fun to watch them grow and then decide which lambs my brother and I will show for 4-H. I play a variety of school sports including golf, basketball, baseball, and trap shooting. I am a member of the National Honor Society at Blue Ridge School and an alter server at St. Mary's Church. I am President of the Born To Show 4-H Club and have been in 4-H for eight years. I would like to thank my parents for allowing me to be involved in 4-H and my brother Chris for helping with my project animals. I am 18, a member of the North Jackson Ag 4-H club and a recent graduate of Mountain View. This is my lamb Huk. He is the last lamb that I will show in 4-H as this is my...more last year. Huk had been a great lamb, and was always friendly, but also stubborn at times. I have enjoyed the journey we had together, and am very happy to have his as my last lamb. I enjoy skiing, hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and playing golf. This is my 8th year showing livestock, and sadly my last. I love the opportunities showing livestock has given me. I would first like to thank my mom and dad for allowing me to begin 4-H and getting my first lambs. The Kowalewski family for their continued help with lambing each year, and expertise during show season. He has been challenging to teach...more, this summer because he is heavier than me. He has taught me a lot of patience. I have always wanted to do lambs and was so excited when we decided to try them this year. Throughout the year I enjoy playing baseball, soccer, and basketball. I also love to fish and make my own fishing lures. This is my second year raising 4H animals and my first year doing two different species of animals. It is much harder and a lot more time consuming with two different species, but I enjoyed the challenge. I would like to thank my family for their support and help. He is crossbred whether. He is the first lamb I have ever shown. He loves to snack on graham crackers and play with his goat friends when we go to shows. I enjoy babysitting and working at Stepniak Beef on my time away from the barn and school. I have become more active in jackpot showing cattle, sheep, and goats. I enjoy working with my animals and learning new techniques for working with and showing them. I also have started my own herd of registered, purebred shorthorns. This is my first year showing market lambs. I would like to thank my parents for all their support though this new project I've done. The most rewarding part of raising livestock is watching them mature and develop into a full grown lamb ready to fill someone's freezer. It is also fun to see how they respond to different feeds and exercise routines. Along with market lambs I enjoy raising dairy heifers and market hogs on my family's farm. I hold the position of club secretary in the North Jackson Ag 4-H club. Outside of 4-H I am a member of the Susquehanna County Jr. Holstein Club and Mountain View chapter of FBLA. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, softball, and Irish dancing as well as teaching my younger cousins how to show livestock. I enjoy helping out on my family's dairy farm with field work and feeding cows. At school I am active in the National Junior Honor Society, FBLA, the trapshooting team, and varsity soccer team. I am 17, a member of the DES 4-H Club and am a recent graduate of Montrose Area. This is my lamb Wilma, I picked Wilma for her name because I needed a name that would wo...morerk with Walter and a friend suggested Wilma. Wilma loves going on walks with Walter. I graduated from Montrose High School this year where I played softball. As well as being a part of the DES 4-h club where I show dairy cows, I am a part of the Susquehanna County Dairy Quiz Bowl team. This is my second year showing market lambs. First off, I would like to give a huge thank you to the Graham Family for all that you guys do for me and for my lambs, I wouldn't be able to do this without you guys. I would also like to thank my mom for always encouraging me to do things I love. Lastly I would like to thank Dan and Ashley Puzo and Start to Finish Landscaping for buying my lamb last year!

I am 14, a member of the DES 4-H Club and entering 9th grade at Seton Catholic. This is my lamb, Diamond. She was bought with last year's livestock sale money. My favor...moreite part of raising lambs is watching them grow and develop in preparation for the fair. I play Varsity basketball and AAU basketball all year round. This is my third year showing lambs at the fair. I would like to thank my family for supporting me as I raise my sheep as well as Ms. Susie for selling me lambs every year to raise for the raise. Thank you Ross Feeds, Montrose Feeds, New Milford Hardware, Southwest Energy, and R&B Fries Buick for purchasing my past lambs.
