1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Convertible

Lot # 435 (Sale Order: 52 of 114)

Top of the line for the Ford Motor Company in 1959 the Mark lV Convertible was built in limited numbers and was the most expensive car Ford offered in the period. It had the biggest engine sold by Ford and was built on the longest wheelbase offered by Ford on a production car. This example was used for carrying dignitaries in Parades in the Seattle area at a time when a man’s standing was judged by the length of the car in which he was carried. A superbly original car and an asset to any collection. 1955 Desoto Fireflight Sportsman

Lot # 436 (Sale Order: 53 of 114)

DeSoto had a terrific year in 1956, with the new Adventurer two-door hardtop challenging the Chrysler 300 and DeSotos pacing both the Indy 500 (at a record speed for a pace car) and Pike’s Peak Hillclimb. The highly-regarded Hemi V-8 could push the FireFlite from 0-60 mph in 10.9 seconds, on its way to 110 mph, while the Adventurer topped out at a healthy 137 mph. DeSoto had benefited enormously from Chrysler Corporation’s 1956 makeover. Gone was the old frontal appearance, replaced by a mesh grille and a “V” badge. Tailfins altered the appearance as well, and the rear taillights were vertically stacked. Electrics were now 12 volts, with constant-speed windshield wipers; power steering was standard, and automatic transmissions had “typewriter key” push buttons on the dash. It has been the subject of a frame-off restoration. It is dazzling in its original. Blue and White with matching interior. 1961 Triumph TR3 Roadster -NO RESERVE

Lot # 441 (Sale Order: 58 of 114)

NO RESERVE VIN: T580778L Mileage: 01,223 (Showing) Engine: 1991 cc Inline 4-Cylinder Transmission: 4-Speed Overdrive The Triumph TR3 is a sports car produced between 1955 and 1962 by Standard-Triumph in England. The face lifted variant, popularly but unofficially known as the TR3A, entered production in 1957 and the final version, unofficially the TR3B, was produced in 1962. The car was powered by a 1991 cc straight-4 OHV engine initially producing 95 bhp (71 kW; 96 PS) ,an increase of 5 hp over the TR2 thanks to the larger SU-H6 carburetors fitted. This was later increased to 100 bhp at 5000 rpm by the addition of a “high port” cylinder head and enlarged manifold. The four-speed manual gearbox could be supplemented by an overdrive unit on the top three ratios, electrically operated and controlled by a switch on the dash. In 1956 the front brakes were changed from drums to discs, the TR3 thus becoming the first series production car to be so fitted. The suspension was by double A-arms, manganese bronze trunnion, coil springs and tube shocks at the front, optional anti-roll bar, and with worm and peg steering. Unlike MG's of the same period, the steering mechanism and linkage had considerable play and friction, which increased with wear. The rear was conventional leaf springs, with solid axle and lever arm dampers, except that the (box) frame rails were slung under the axle. The wheels were 15-inches in diameter and 4.5 inches wide (increased from 4 inches after the first few TR2s), with 48-spoke wire wheels optional. Wire wheels were usually painted, either body color or Argent (silver), but matt chrome and bright chrome were also available. The front disc or drum brakes and rear drums had no servo assistance. The TR3's weight was significantly more than the Morgan Plus Four and the 356 Porsche's, but not much more than the MGA and MGB. All except the Morgan, which shared the same engine, were substantially less powerful. Our TR3 had an exceptional “Concours” quality restoration started and nearly completed. It has outstanding paint and detail work. It needs very minor upholstery and detailing to be a national prize winner. It is amazingly nice cosmetically and an exceptional driver. It was owned by an enthusiast for decades. It is a rare and desirable color. This TR3 is one of the nicest examples available anywhere at any price. Brand new transmission rebuild and recent suspension service. Rebuilt generator. Very nice car. 2002 Mahogany Classic Boat

Lot # 450 (Sale Order: 66 of 114)

Gorgeous, high enjoyment, low maintenance mahogany runabout. 24’ triple cockpit mahogany runabout built in Nova Scotia by Mahogany Classic in 2002. 5.7 litre, 269 HP Mercruiser “Ski” Model marine engine. Low hours. Hull constructed from Brazilian Mahogany. Two-part epoxy finish assures water tightness and eliminates need for soaking or caulking seams. Faria instrumentation. History: I bought the boat in 2011 from an owner in Connecticut. He had owned it for a few years, and used it between homes in CT and FL. My sense is he did not use it much. It was dry stacked when in FL. When in CT it was moored at a yacht club in the summers and vacuum wrapped during the winters. The CT owner bought it from the original owner, who is a collector of classic wooden boats. He used it in the summers on Lake Geneva. It was one of several boats and was lightly used. New the boat purchased for appx. US$85k, but the Canadian dollar was at appx. 0.61 at the time, so about C$140k in 2002. I have taken the boat out fewer than ten times since I’ve owned it, all on Puget Sound. Boat has been dry stacked at Bayside since I took possession. I believe trailer was custom built and came with the boat, but I never focused on it.
