Auction Terms & Conditions Bidding Style is Staggered: Two lots will close 1 minute after the first lot in the auction consecutively. Lots will begin closing at 6 PM and continue until the final lot has closed. * Soft Close: If a bid is placed on a lot during the last minute of bidding, the time will be extended by one minute each time. **** If you are bidding at the close of the Auction, please make sure to select "LIVE CATALOG VIEW" to view the auction in real time. If you do not view the "LIVE CATALOG" at the conclusion of the Auction, you may need to manually refresh your computer screen. We recommend being signed into the Auction at least 15 minutes prior to closing, if you wish to bid during auction closing. **** You may also enter your "Maximum Bid" to have the computer bid on your behalf up to a set amount. Terms of the Auction: 15% Buyer's Premium for The Meares Company Online Bids. All lots are sold as is, where is, with all faults, imperfections and errors of description. Due diligence is the responsibility of the bidder/buyer. All sales are final. No credit card charge backs will be allowed. Purchases may be removed upon receipt of payment in full. Buyers assume complete responsibility for care of each purchase at time of sale. The auction company is not responsible for accidents, thefts, errors or omissions. South Carolina Sales Tax of 7% will be charges to In-State buyers unless you have Sales Tax Exemption filled with Proxibid. No Sales Tax on coins and currency. Catalog: The Meares Company has put forth every effort in preparing the catalog for this auction to provide accurate descriptions of all items. All property is sold 'as-is' and it is the bidder's responsibility to determine the exact condition of each item. There will be no sales tax charged for coin or currency purchases. Payment Payments: All accounts must be settled at the conclusion of the auction. Your credit card will be charged for your purchases, plus buyer's premiums, and any taxes. NOTHING will be charged to your card until a purchase is made. Each transaction necessary to collect insufficient funds for declined credit cards will have a $25 fee imposed. Be sure your credit card information is up to date. Most problems are caused by expiration date and card not being updated. Unpaid Balances: The purchaser agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and costs incurred by the auction company in the collection of funds. The purchaser also agrees that a fee of 2% per month be added to the balance of any unpaid balance due the auction company and any other costs or losses incurred by the purchaser's failure to adhere to these terms. Any debt collection or dispute proceedings will be heard in Greenville County, SC. Shipping/Pick-Up Removal: All items must be removed during times specified for any auction following the close of the Auction. The designated pick-up time will be posted under "Dates" on our website. If you are unable to pick up during this time, please make arrangements at least 1 day prior to the close of auction. It is the buyer's responsibility to provide adequate equipment, packing materials and manpower to remove his or her items. If assistance is required, a fee may be incurred payable to The Meares Company. Items that have not been picked up within 5 Business Days following Auction will be considered abandoned, and no refunds will be given. Pickups: November 22, 2022 11AM-6PM. Location for Pickup: 329 E Shockley Ferry Road Anderson, SC 29624. One Day Only! All items MUST be picked up during specified pick-up times. You will receive a link through Shipping Saint to schedule a time slot. If you do not pick up your item by 6PM it will be donated to local charity! It is the buyer's responsibility to check all contents of the package before removing it from the premises. If you pick up at an auction location or by another arrangement it is also your responsibility to check the contents of the package in the company of a Meares Company Employee. We will not be held responsible for damaged or missing pieces once the package is in possession of the bidder. It's your responsibility to review your purchases and their condition. Shipping: The Meares Company, through the United States Postal Service, FedEx, or United Parcel Service, can arrange packing and shipping at the buyer's expense. Packing and shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. All items over $100.00 will be insured for the purchase price. You will receive and email from Shipping Saint to pay for shipping cost. Please contact the auction company prior to purchase for general shipping and handling information. Our first priority is to deliver your new purchase in excellent condition. Buyers will also be charged a $6.00 packaging fee added to shipping cost. Meares Company will consolidate items as much as possible. We are unavailable to ship large items. Missing Items: We document the contents of each package. If we have missed an item in your shipment our documentation will show that. Please notify us within 2 business days of receiving the package if you think something is not included. If our documentation shows it was not packed, we will forward it immediately at our cost. We are not responsible for boxes opened by anyone other than the owner. Please check the entire box and packaging for contents. DO NOT discard the original shipping box and packaging if you think something is missing or damaged. We are not responsible for Internet nor platform outages during an online Auction. If there is a platform outage during the close of an Auction, we reserve the right to no-sell the items affected during outage and offer for resale at a later date.
