WINCHESTER MODEL 1890 SLIDE ACTION .22 RIFLE

Serial # 95768. The Model 1890 was the first slide action model made by Winchester, probably spurred by the popularity of the Colt Lightning .22. This example was made in 1900 and is chambered for the .22 long rim fire. It features a full 24" octagon barrel, 2/3 magazine, sporting sights, blue finish, take-down with walnut stock and grooved fore-end. This rifle has been cleaned and is now a dull gun metal gray finish with scattered age spotting. The wood has been refinished and is dull with no sheen. Bore has some visible rifling but is good at best. *(C&R)

Serial #102252. Made in 1948, this model, along with the Model 62 exposed hammer repeater, were introduced in 1932, followed by the Model 63 autoloader in 1933. This is the hammerless model that features a 24" round barrel, 2/3 magazine, take down, blue finish, pistol grip walnut stock with checkered steel butt-plate. The fore-arm has the serrated sides, flat bottom. The barrel and tube retain approximately 95% original factory rust blue with light age freckling, sharp legends, high edge wear and some thinning in spots. The frame retains 95% factory blue with light freckling and high edge wear. Bore is sharp but does have light ring and bulge. Stocks are excellent with light impressions and handling marks. *(C%R)

REMINGTON SPEEDMASTER MODEL 241 SEMI-AUTO RIFLE

Serial #NSN. Made from 1935-1949 and chambered for the .22 short rim fire only. Marketed as a man size rifle that was taking the place of the old Model 24. It is a semi-automatic that features 24" barrel, butt-fed magazine, plain pistol grip walnut stock. The barrel has been mounted with a 8x Winchester (scope not marked, only the ring) brass tube scope and retains approximately 85% original rust blue that is turning and missing some light finish. Frame retain about 85 % bright factory blue with light freckling. The stocks have usual impressions but still has that eye appeal. Strong bore. Nice early Winchester rifle. *(C&R)

MARLIN MODEL 1892 .32 CAL. LEVER ACTION RIFLE

Serial # 136074. This model was made from 1895 until 1916. It was offered in the scarce .22 rim fire as well as the .32 caliber model which came with two firing pins, one for rim fire and the other center fire. This gun has the center fire pin installed but comes with the rim fire pin as well. This is an early pre 1906 model indicated by the rifle butt-plate instead of the s-curve plate. Other features include a 24" full round barrel, full magazine, knife blade front sight, semi buckhorn rear sight, take-down with walnut stocks. All metal is now a smooth homogenous patina. Wood was refinished at one time and is slightly shy to metal with some minor chipping on upper right tang. Rear sight has lots of blue and looks to be a period correct style replacement. Rifling is soft but defined. *(C&R)

Serial # 36280. Made from 1909 until 1936. The side of the frame is stamped Gallery Special as these were marketed to carnival shooting galleries. It features a 24" octagon barrel, 2/3 magazine, take-down, dove tail front sight, sporting rear sight, blue finish with walnut pistol grip stock that sports a steel rifle butt-plate. The fore-arm is grooved. The scarce gallery guns were made to fire the .22 short only. This is a clean little rifle that retains approximately 85% original factory blue mixing evenly with soft patina with light high edge wear and an overall soft finish with sharp legends. Stocks have some finish loss and impressions but clean. Bore is well defined. Nice and fairly hard to come by pre-war Remington. Rifle also comes with an period Royal brand take down leather carry case. *(C&R)

Manufactured in 1948, this early post war hammerless slide action Winchester features a 24" round barrel, 2/3 magazine, take-down, blue finish, plain pistol grip walnut stock, steel butt-plate with grooved flat bottom fore-end. The sights are standard dove-tail front and sporting rear. Aside from a minor handling mark if you can find one, this gun retains virtually all of its original factory finish and both wood and metal are near mint. The bore is also like new. This mint rifle is chambered for the .22 long rifle rim fire cartridge. The plate has some wear and retains about 60% original blue. The muzzle has a hint of wear and the frame shows a few minor handling marks but overall, this fine rifle retains fully 98% original factory blue finish with note to butt-plate. There is some light toning at muzzle, some light high edge wear on frame and two pin-prick areas of freckling on left side of frame. Overall, gun still retains 99% of the original factory blue finish. The stocks are proud to metal and have most original finish with just the usual light wood impressions. Also, has Model 92 stamped on tang. Features a 24" round barrel, full magazine, replaced dove-tail front sight, sporting rear sight, straight grip walnut stock with blue barrel and tube and case colored frame, hammer and lever. The barrel retains 98% of the high polish re-applied blue with readable legends, blue/toned magazine, 30% darkened applied case colors (not quite Marlin style) and very good stocks with added varnish and a little off at wrist. Gun has been used but well cared for. Barrel retains approximately 90% original factory finish that is thinning near breech and muzzle with razor sharp barrel legends. The frame retains about 40-50% blue that is blending with soft patina and gun metal gray for a handsome, homogenous look. Stock had some added finish, has a few minor dings but is still proud to metal having never been sanded. Fore-end is excellent. Bore is shiny. Action is crisp. Serial #63367. Made in 1897, this was Winchesters first lever action shotgun and it was chambered for the hard hitting 10 bore. It became an instant hit with duck hunters and law enforcement alike. This is a field grade that features a 30" barrel. The pistol grip walnut stock and fore-end were checkered during the period but not by Winchester. Metal surfaces are all a clean gun metal gray mixing with brown soft patina. Factory legends are crisp. Wood is very good with usual dings and a little shy to metal indicating they were refinished at one time. Bore is clean and action is crisp. A fine looking old western shotgun that became world famous after its appearance in the Terminator movies. (A)

Serial # 166971. The Model 10-A was introduced in 1907 and offered through 1929. It was Remington's first slide action shotgun that came almost 14 years after the Winchester Model 1893. This is a 12 bore with a 30" full choke barrel, take-down, blue finish with plain walnut pistol grips stock and grooved fore-end. An after market pad has been added. The barrel retains at least 90% original factory blue finish while the tube remains at about 60% blending with soft patina. The frame retains about 80% bright factory blue blending as well. There are small areas of light freckling. Wood is excellent with some loss to finish. Bore is bright and action is fine. *(C&R)

LEFEVER SXS 20 BORE PRE-WAR SHOTGUN

Serial #277027. The Lefever Arms Company was a manufacturer of guns in Syracuse, New York founded by Daniel Lefever. The company was in the business until 1916, when it merged with Ithaca Gun Company in Ithaca, New York, which continued Lefever production until 1921. This is an Ithaca gun, 20 bore with 28" barrels, matching serial numbers, manual ejection, box lock with double triggers. The barrels have been re-blued and have the bleed holes under barrels. The barrel sports a full rib and single front bead. The frame is case colored. The walnut stock features a pistol grip and an period added Ranger pad. An added coat of varnish has been applied and checkering is a bit soft. LOP is 14" to front trigger. Bores are clean. Barrels retain approximately 90" of the re-applied blue finish which is starting to thin. Frame retains about half the case colors with the balance drifting to gun metal gray. The splinter fore-end is standard. Left barrel is choked full while right barrel is modified. Action is tight. Comes with canvas take down case. *(C&R)

CRESCENT ARMS 12 BORE SXS HAMMERLESS SHOTGUN

Serial # S20321. Crescent Fire Arms Company of Norwich, CT (1892 to 1930) was the largest maker ever of inexpensive "Trade Brand Name" shotguns ever, making over 2.500,000 shotguns using over 1,200 known names. The company was owned by the H & D Folsom Company, a very large wholesale sporting goods dealer. a retailer and jobber located in New York City fro, 1893 to 1930.They sold the company to Savage Arms Company who continued making Crescent branded guns until the late 1930s. This shotgun features 28" barrels that are blue with a solid rib, front sight bead missing, manual ejection, left barrel choked full, right barrel choked modified, false side plates, double triggers with pistol grip walnut stock and splinter fore-end. The LOP from front trigger to solid rubber pad is 14". All numbers are matching. The frame retains some case colors on plates with balance of finish now a gun metal gray. Barrel blue has thinned to a light blue/gray blended finish. Bores are clean and lock-up is tight. The company was owned by the H & D Folsom Company, a very large wholesale sporting goods dealer. a retailer and jobber located in New York City fro, 1893 to 1930.They sold the company to Savage Arms Company who continued making Crescent branded guns until the late 1930s. This shotgun features 28" barrels that are blue with a solid rib, front sight bead missing, manual ejection, left barrel choked full, right barrel choked modified, false side plates, double triggers with pistol grip walnut stock and splinter fore-end. The LOP from front trigger to solid rubber pad is 14". All numbers are matching. The frame retains some case colors on plates with balance of finish now a gun metal gray. Barrel blue has thinned to a light blue/gray blended finish. Bores are clean and lock-up is tight. Serial #287234. Ithaca made approx. 223,000 Flues between 1908-1925. This example features 30" barrels with manual ejection, full solid rib, choked full (left) Improved (right). Box lock frame with double triggers. Walnut stock features checkered pistol grip with cap and added pad. LOP to front trigger is 14 3/4". Barrels have been re blued and have drain hole of which 90% still remains with strong legends but there is some light pitting under finish on bottom of barrels in spots. Bores are clean and lock up is tight. The frame has lost all of its color and is now a soft gun metal gray. The wood is excellent with usual light mars and impressions. Splinter fore-end is fine with some added finish. A few screws have been replaced. *(C&R)

Serial #58953. The Pieper company was founded in Belgium in the 1860's and made shotguns for various American hardware stores and mail order houses. He was known for producing a good quality shotgun for a reasonable price. This shotgun features 30" twist steel barrels. Choked Full (left) and Modified (right) with manual ejection. Has side locks with exposed hammers and double triggers. Shotgun has a 14 1/4" LOP from front trigger to composition butt-plate. Company name is stamped on both sides of frame. The frame also features light engraving of game birds and light scroll. The walnut stock features a checkered round knob with checkered splinter fore-end. The wood has usual small handling marks and impressions but proud to metal and no breaks. Checkering is thinning and has flattened out, especially on splinter fore-end where it is worn away in spots. Frame is basically gun metal gray mixing with soft patina. Barrels are browned with nice pattern and shiny bore. There is some wiggle and will need adjusting to lock up tight. Clean old 19th century shotgun. (A)

Serial #425. This is a late 19th century back lock exposed hammer side by side .12 bore made in Belgium with all the Liege stamps. Laminated barrels measure 26 3/4" with solid rib. Both barrels choked improved and were probably shortened. The action is stamped machine made and Wm. Parkhurst and features exposed hammers and double triggers. Walnut stock has round knob and checkered steel plate with an LOP of 14". All metal surfaces are a rich dark patina with scattered handling marks, especially near end of barrel with finish loss and some spotting. Bores are clean. Wood is very good with checkering flattened out but still complete and no visible cracks but left side of stock has a stain line. Action has a light wiggle. (A)

Serial #164597. This GHE is built on the number 2 box lock frame and was made in 1913. The barrels measures 30" and choked full (left) and modified (right) with full rib and replaced front bead with matching numbers and Parker Meriden marked barrel with auto ejectors. Frame is stamped 2 with matching numbers. Equipped with double triggers and engraved frame with ducks, pheasants and light scroll. The checkered pistol grip walnut stock features deluxe grain and added pad with 14 1/4" LOP. Stock is proud to metal but has been completely re-done or replaced with improper white line spacer on cap and modern white line pad. The splinter fore-end is original with somewhat worn checkering and darker than stock which could, and should, be restored to match the stock. The barrels retains about 80% thinning blue finish with more wear to finish on sides of barrels and muzzle. Bores are clean. There are no colors on frame or finish on trigger guard but all engraving and legends are sharp. This is a crisp Parker that looks nice as is but restored to match quality of stock , this would be a show piece. * (C&R)

First produced in 1931, it quickly became the gun to own and it's list of past owners reads like a who's who. The gun was actually a special order gun in a sense that you could get it any way you wanted. This gun features 26" barrels choked modified (left) and improved cyl. (right) and equipped with auto ejectors, matted rib with red bead front sight. The chamber is machined for 2 3/4 shells. The box lock frame features a single select trigger. The walnut stock features a checkered pistol grip with Winchester cap, a period solid red Winchester pad and an owners silver plaque. The checkered beaver tail fore-end and the stock are proud to metal , showing minor wear and some flattening of points and usual impressions. The LOP is 14 1/4". The blue finish remains at approximately 80% with thinning to gray on side of barrels. The frame has a few light scratches at base. Lock up is tight and bores are bright. This shotgun saw some field action over the years but is still quite nice and ready for action. *(C&R)

REMINGTON MODEL 11 .16 BORE SEMI AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN

Serial #1548169. Remington produced the Model 11 from 1911 through 1948. It is patterned and produced under license to Browning and is basically an A-5 clone. This was Remington's first auto-loading shotgun. This gun is a 16 bore with a 28" plain barrel with full choke and 2 3/4" chamber. The bolt is stamped Model 11 and the frame has sparse engraving of pheasant on right side with mallard on right. Stock has checkered pistol grip with Remington plate and a 14" LOP. This gun saw very little use and retains nearly all of the original factory blue finish with light handling marks and some minor high edge wear. Wood is excellent with minor impressions. Bore is bright and action fine. This is a collector grade Model 11. *(C&R)

Serial #175893. Originally made in 1899, it was re-barreled years later. The barrel has the later ramp style front sight and barrel markings with semi-buckhorn rear sight. The fore-end is the long wood type while the butt stock has the rifle type steel butt-plate. There is, and never was, any saddle ring so this carbine could have been made from a rifle as well. Barrel measures 20" and caliber is classic 30-30. The tube has remains of black enamel finish, barrel retains 95% of factory rust blue while frame is basically gray patina. Tang has been drilled for sight (not present) Stock is flush to metal with usual impressions and dings. The tang is scratched and there are remnants of black enamel on frame, lever and butt-plate. Bore is very good and the action is fine. *(C&R)
