Manufactured by Colt as the New Service revolver and chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge and intended for use with 1/2 moon clips/ Blue finish over a secondary / rudimentary polish with smooth walnut grips. factory fitted with lanyard swivel. Butt marked " U.S. ARMY MODEL 1917 No 149424", ABOTTOM OF BARREL MARKED "UNITED STATES PROPERTY"a Rampant Colt on left side plate . These pistols saw extensive use during WW1, and later issued during the Banana wars, Haiti, WW2 and Korea. Revolver is housed in a butt forward G&K 1917 dated leather flap holster with embosses US on flap with leather tie down at bottom. CONDITION. Very good with over 90% factory blue finish remaining. SERIAL NUMBER 7872f BARREL 24" CALIBER 8X57 MANUFACTURED 1942. Produced by Steyr Daimler Puch using the German code BNZ in 1942 with laminated stocks and blue finished steel. Observed numbers are matching with no detailed disassemble attempted. Original cross hatch pattern leather K98 sling. CONDITION. Extremely fine in as discovered condition with dried grease in protected areas. The bore is excellent bright and shiny with sharp rifling. The stock is very fine with no external markings or proofs. Rifle appears to have remained untouched for many years and has probably not been disassembled since being brought to the United States at the conclusion of WW2. Action operates properly. A very fine example and remains in as discovered condition. C&R

Matching numbers . 2 matching magazines with one being marked Stark on right lower rib. Pistol is housed in period commercial shoulder holster marked \" MADE IN AUSTRIA BY MARCUS RUB\" Constructed of russet brown leather with white stitching with slot for spare magazine. Produced in secrecy by the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors in Anderson Indiana for support of resistance fighters and gorilla warfare against the Axis powers in Europe , Asia and the Pacific. Produced of sheet metal stampings with a cast zinc cocking handle and smooth bore. Housed in a pictorial cardboard box with 10 rounds of steel cased FA-43 dated .45 acp ammunition and a wooden dowel for cartridge extraction. Included was a pictorial or cartoon instruction manual. Designated as the FP-45 (flare pistol .45 caliber) to further hide the actual intention of these pistols. The packages were air dropped in Europe, Asia and the Pacific to both demoralize opposing forces and to arm freedom fighters. Rarely ever found in fine condition and extremely uncommon to be found with original box, ammunition and paperwork. CONDITION. Very fine with pistol remaining in the white with shadows of patina. Bore is fine and action operates properly. Bases plate for retaining spare cartridges is original and fine. Cartridges are equally fine. The instruction paper is very good with slight staining and fold creases, The box is missing lower closure and is weathered, scuffed and distressed. Marked with traditional FN markings and inclusive of German WaA140 inspection on frame slide and barrel. Pistol remains without magazine safety as most wartime examples are found. Matching numbers on frame, barrel and slide. These early 9mm High Power pistols were frequently used by the Luftwaffe and have a relatively low survival rate. CONDITION, Very fine with over 90% finish remaining with losses at edges and grip straps. Action operates properly. The grips and magazine are post war manufacture. The bore is very fine and all marking are crisp. C&R

RARE WW2 ERSATZ WALTHER PP FIBERBOARD HOLSTER

Extremely fine WW2 German unmarked Ersatz Fiberboard holster with steel button and leather closure tab. These holsters were made of man made material due to the shortage of animal products / leather. The survival rate is extremely low as they fell apart quickly when exposed to moisture and the elements. This example is extremely fine with solid stitching and has continued to stay laminated. SERIAL NUMBER 278j BARREL 4 7/8" CALIBER 9MM MANUFACTURE 1944. Produced by Walther and marked with the German code AC 44 in a line date pattern. Finished in blue with brown Bakelite grips and inspected German eagle 359 on most all primary and small parts including magazine. CONDITION, Very good with over 90% blue finish remaining. Bore is very good with a shadow of frosting in the grooves, The grips are very fine and the action operates properly. All numbered parts are matching. Pistol is NOT import marked. C&R

Fair with the exterior being a mottled patina mixed with light peppering and is possibly a period refinish. Areas of light corrosion exist that should clean up. SERIAL NUMBER N/A BARREL 4 1/2" CALIBER 8MM RAST GASSER MANJUFACTURED EARLY 1890'S Produced in Austria and most likely by Steyr. 8 shot revolver with right sided loading gate. Knurled non-fluted cylinder with manual ejection and smooth walnut grips. Pistol remains in the white and is found without proofs or serial numbers. Unique to this pistol is the double action only design and the knurled cylinder to assist in loading / unloading. The Rast Gasser served Austria through its many conflicts and border disputes and is not frequently found in fine condition. Interesting the Czarist Russians also developed a SINGLE action only variation of their Nagant revolver. This tool room / prototype revolver shows rudimentary finishing internally and on the trigger guard assembly. CONDITION. Very good as found with a light patina evident on the exterior of the left in the white metal. The grips are very fine and full sized and the action operates crisply and properly. The bore and chambers are excellent, sharp and bright. A very unique example of the Austrian Rast Gasser from the active developmental period of small arms design and evolution. ANTIQUE

SERIAL NUMBER 9262c BARREL22" CALIBER 8X57 MANUFACTURED 1945. Museum quality WW2 German K43 rifle marked with German code 45AC. Produced by Walther with blue and phosphate finishes and laminated beech wood stock and hand guard. Inspected Eagle 359 on most all parts and having matching numbers. Factory produced with scope rail. Rifle is accompanied by original ZF4 scope in authentic sliding mount with scope lens cover, metal carry case, rubber eye cup and additional amber lens shades. These late war Semi-Automatic rifle were coined with the name "HITLERS GARAND" and were used extensively on both fronts. Rarely encountered in prime or museum condition. CONDITION, Extremely fine with over 97% original finish remaining on receiver, barrel, trigger assembly and bolt carrier assembly. The bore is as new with sharp lands and grooves and very bright. The action operates smoothly and properly. All numbers have been found to be matching. Rifle comes with 3 original and correct magazines as well as the desireable type 2 smooth leather pouch . All three magazines are gcb makers marked and marked K43 and inspected WaA892. The ZF4 scope is serial numbered 82750 and ddx manufacturer marked and is complete with atmosphere port and windage knob cover. Reticle is the pointed post pattern. The mount is authentic with script numerals and eagle 350 inspection. The tan painted scope can is jvd makers marked and inspected WaA542 and is complete with carry strap. After extensive research this rifle is found to be fully authentic and correct and includes the rare G/K handbook for use dated May 11 1944. This is the rare butt stock version and is stored in the trap of the butt with the oiler and spare firing pin and extractor. The rifle comes with a new set of springs for shooting modern high pressure ammunition. Rifle is also mounted with a K98 cross hatch pattern leather sling with attaching tab. This is finest example of the K43 rifle with optics this cataloger has handled in the past 40 years. Truly a remarkable specimen. C&R

Remington UMC frame #2950 with Colt WW1 1911 slide, flat mainspring housing, long hammer, short grips safety, long trigger and checkered walnut grips. Marked on left side (AA) for Augusta Arsenal. These are the pistols of early WW2 and saw extensive use through out the conflict. Pistol has a WW2 colt 1911-A1 barrel and lanyard loop based magazine. CONDITION, Good as rebuilt with excellent bore. Over 90% of the parkerized finish remains. Grips are moderately worn and action operates properly. C&R

The barrel is a Vietnam replacement marked "45AUTO 7791193" on chamber top. Right side of frame is further marked "ANAD 6 76", this is believed to be a rebuild marking for Anniston Army Depot. Bore is excellent and action operates properly. Pistol is housed in a black US shoulder holster marked "ANDIRONDAK LEATHER COOPERSTOWN NY NSN 1095-00-973-2353. Holster is very good. C&R

SERIAL NUMBER N/A BARREL 4" CALIBER .45 ACP MANUFACTURED 1943. Produced in secrecy by the Guide3 Lamp Division of General Motors in Anderson Indiana. These single shot pistols were made of sheet metal and intended to be air-dropped to freedom fighters and resistance against Axis troops. They were distributed throughout Europe, Asia and the Pacific. Known as the FP-45 (flare pistol 45 cal) a production of 1 million were produced and provided to British, American air forces for distribution in Europe, The OSS distributed them in Asia and China and Douglas MacArthur had them dropped in the Phillipines. Rarely encountered today as they were considered a disposable weapon. CONDITION. Fair with exterior being spotted with moderate pitting. Bore is very good and action operates properly. Base plate is missing small extension tab but is present and operable. This pistol is accompanied by a first edition of the informative book " THE FP-45 LIBERATOR PISTOL 1942-1945" by R.W. Koch 1976.
