SERIAL NUMBER 8153g BARREL 4 7/8" CALIBER 9MM PAR, MANUFACTURED 1945. Known as the Grey Ghost by collectors. The SVW series of P-38 pistols were produced in France using tooling from Mauser in Germany. Finished in a very light colored parkerized finish with ribbed sheet metal 2 piece grips. The very first examples were produced under German occupation and have German proofs and military acceptance markings, Matching numbers including locking block . Barrel is WaA135 German inspected. CONDITION. Very fine with excellent bore and proper operating action. NON IMPORT C&R

Produced immediately after WW1 and later rebuilt for WW2 issue using Savage replacement slide, Barrel is marked with horizontal intertwined "HP" on top of chamber. Long smooth trigger Long wide early hammer short grips safety and smooth flat mainspring housing. Parkerized finish with "AA" stamped on left side of frame forward of slide stop. Diamond pattern checkered walnut grips. Unmarked 2 tone magazine. CONDITION. Good as Arsenal refinished with some slide markings being very light. Bore is fair with oxidized grooves. Action operates properly. Grips are worm but remain full sized and serviceable. C&R

SERIAL NUMBER 1313294 BARREL 5" CALIBER 45 ACP MANUFACTURED 1943. Originally produced by Remington Rand and then manufactured to a National Match Service Pistol by Springfield Armory. Parkerized finish , checkered walnut grips, marked "SA" on left side of frame. Gov't purchased Colt National Match Barrel with alloy long adjustable target trigger. Micro marked target rear sight Stippled front grip strap. High target front sight. These pistols were built for National Match competition at Camp Perry Ohio for use by all branches of the Military services. CONDITION. Very good with most parkerized finish remaining. A small area of pitting exist on left side of slide at the Remington Rand markings. Pistol has both the small "P" proof and the later large "P" proof on the left side of the frame below the original FJA inspection. Slide is numbered at Springfield to match frame with last 4 digits of serial number. Bore is excellent and action operates properly. C&R

Marked " UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on underside of barrel. Smooth oil finished 2 piece walnut grips. Fitted at factory with lanyard swivel in but and butt is marked "U.S.ARMY MODEL 1917 No 1772" CONDITION, Good with brilliant bright bore. Revolver retains over 85% blue finish with most losses at grip straps. Grips are worn at corners but remain serviceable. C&R

Adjustable front sight with slide adjustable tangent rear sight. Toggle marked DWM in script, Chamber dated 1916. All numbers matching with exception of wood based magazine. Rig includes authentic Imperial marked board stock with attaching iron numbered to another pistol. Attached is leather carry sling bottom leather cup and unmarked holster with cleaning rod. CONDITION. Pistol is very fine with excellent bore and all matching numbers except magazine. Action operates properly Pistol retains over 97% blue finish and 30% straw finish. Board stock is good with iron being patina and wood having numerous small impressions and bruises. Leather holster is very dry and lid is becoming detached from main body of holster.
