Includes two tone, blued steel magazine, marked "COLT WOODSMAN//CAL.22 L.R./MATCH TARGET MOD" on the base plate. Also includes an original set of brown checkered plastic grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% finish, with general wear. Grips have handling marks and scratches. Front strap looks to have been repaired in the front. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. SERIAL NUMBER 10965. BARREL 7 1/2", CALIBER 36 CALIBER. Fine Belgian copy of the Model 1851 Colt Navy. All iron construction with engraved frame, trigger guard, hammer and back strap. Barrel is marked " COLT BREVETE" Serial number 10965 match on frame and barrel . CONDITION: The revolver has mostly smooth metal with scattered pitting. There is some corrosion on the cylinder. The barrel and cylinder have a small percentage of blue finish remaining. Action is crisp and locks up tight. Grips are nice and bore is excellent. The wood case is lined with green felt, The oiler has Sheffield marking underneath. The flask, bullet mold, nipple wrench and cap tin are moderm. The set displays well. RMA ANTIQUE

Another Document shows this gun was carried by former FBI Special Agent George Franklin of Albuquerque New Mexico. Slide has typical model markings on the right side, and patent dates/company address on the left side, with rampant Colt pony behind the slide serration. Property markings on the left side of the frame have been removed. Faint eagles head inspector proof above the magazine release. WW2 Era "HS" marked (High Standard) marked on the right barrel lug. Blade front sight and u-notch rear. Reapplied blued finish. Later production checkered wood grips. Includes unmarked blued steel magazine, with lanyard loop on the bottom.
