Barrel is star proofed at the muzzle. Bolt is electro pencil matched to the gun. Correct iron sights retained. Scope blocks added and a "USMC" marked 8X Unertl scope. Scope includes its original covers and a newer production leather eye piece. Parkerized finish. Stock has been lightly oiled. Coarse checkered metal butt plate. Includes unmarked M1906 pattern leather sling, and plastic oiler in the butt. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its parkerized finish, with light wear. Wood has light scratches and handling marks. There is a 3-1/2" crack on the fore wood, running from the start of the trigger guard and running forward. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Added dark/gray enamel type finish. Oil finished laminate wood stock with a flat metal butt plate. Newer made short rail scope mount peened to the left side of the receiver. Mount is modern as well. Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialytan 4X scope is period. Standard blued finish and oiled wood stock. Includes attached SKS type leather sling. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with general wear and patina. Metal floor plate is broken off. SERIAL NUMBER: 228289. BARREL: 29-1/2". CALIBER: 6.5X55 SWEDISH. MANUFACTURED: 1908. This rifle started life as a standard Model 1896 military rifle, being made at the Carl Gustafs factory. It was later turned into a match rifle, and owned by Olympian Sven Ivan Johansson, who was the 1980 bronze medallist in 50 Meter Rifle 3-Positions. "J.V." inspector proofs on the left side of the receiver. Right side of the stock is marked with a sticker reading "SVEN IVAN JOHANSSON FOTENE VARGARDA". A metal stock disc also reads "Sven/Johansson/SODRA/HARNE". No visible import marks. Matching serials throughout. Upgraded match style sights (globe front, with post aperture, and adjustable peep rear). Standard rear ladder has been removed. Original blued finish. Stock has an added light oil finish, and semi pistol grip. No cleaning rod. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% finish, with light wear. Wood has light wear, scrapes and scratches. RARE EAST GERMAN SSG-82 SNIPER RIFLE WITH SCOPE

SERIAL NUMBER: 1942. BARREL: 24". CALIBER: 5.45X39. MANUFACTURED: 1980S. Developed as a police counter sniper rifle, being based on the classic European match rifle design. Small import mark on the barrel. Only a few hundred of these were reported to be imported in the 1990S, after the reunification of Germany.
