Blued fluted octagon target weight barrel with ramp protected bead blade target front sight, matted top barrel flat with flared rear for sight installation. Barrel has Marbles/Goss rear adjustable peep sight installed at present. Blued Martini action marked on right side in oval "J.HARTMAN BERN" with double set triggers and fancy target style finger lever. Plain grain walnut Schuetzen style buttstock with "Ram's Horn carved comb forming into a right handed "Dish" style cheek piece with right hand finger grip and adjustable Swiss style buttplate. Stock has brass plate with former owner's name stamped on it. Matching walnut schnabel forearm with pinned fastening escutcheon. Forearm is fitted with folding wooden ball palm rest. CONDITION: 90% barrel blue with edge wear. Action is worn on operation areas with 90% original blue remaining. Wood has traces of original finish with usage marks and dings. Good bore and mechanics. SERIAL 23169. BARREL 28". CALIBER 8,15 X 46 NORM. 8,15x46 "norm" means "normalisiert" in German, a standardized version of the 8.15x46R cartridge. This cartridge is simply for .321 bullet and you can run any .32 special case through a 8.15 x 46 R sizing die and load like you would a .32 special. C. G. Haenel is one of the old and traditional gun manufacturers in Suhl. An ancient town in the Thuringian Forest Rifle features a full octagon barrel with globe sight mounted on a ramp, no rear sight but grooved raised rib to take a sight marked 1,2, 3. Barrel is stamped with maker. Frame is stamped Haenel Original. Features double set triggers, blue finish, walnut Schuetzen style stock with standard checkered Niedner style butt plate, sling swivels and a right side mounted Lyman 48 style receiver sight. Left side is tapped for same sight. Rear stock with cheek piece was made for a left handed shooter. Condition. Retains 95% of the reapplied blue finish. Stock is excellent. Bore is strong. C&R
