BARREL 40 1/2", CALIBER .70. Tanner & Cie Belgian made Rifle Musket. It is a copy of a French Model 1857 Rifle Musket. Has a round barrel with three bands, metal ramrod, military rear folding ladder sight, sling swivels, full length walnut stock, and iron hardware. There is a small cartouche on top of wrist. This firearm was a popular import during the Civil War, and were used by the North and South. CONDITION: The rifle remains in all original untouched condition, with smooth patina and sharp legends. The stock shows wear and impressions. The action works properly. The bore is dark with visible rifling. The rifle is in very good original condition. RMA ANTIQUE

Manufactured in France by Manufrance Armes & Cycles, and housed in its gold labeled cigarette case with provision for 10 additional cartridges. Known as the Model 1 Gaulois by Manufrance. Blue finished with case colored squeezer assembly with black checkered grip panel. Internal 6 shot magazine with safety lever on left side. Manufactures monogram on top flat of pistol with sliding dust cover to prevent debris from entering the mechanism. CONDITION. Fine with over 80% blue finish remaining. Good bore and properly operating action. The gutta percha grip panel has a small chip at the top. The case is very good with supple leather and solid stitching. The gold monogram is still crisp. LePage French style early US Eagle Head sword import features 30 1/2" blade with single fuller on each side. The hilt has a Eagle Head pommel and Federal Eagle on the right languette. The grip is carved bone. The blade is lightly etched with stand of arms with gold wash for definition. There is no makers mark. The brass scabbard is engraved with geometric designs on right side and has two hanging rings. There is a partial old tag attached. CONDITION: The sword displays well in good condition. The bone grip is chipped and cracked but intact. There is play to the knuckle bow to the hilt. The blade has scattered pitting, and several flea bite edge nicks. The ornate scabbard has surface wear and several shallow dents. The sword is a very attractive example of an antebellum US sword.
