The magazine has the typical finish loss at the front from being taken down with most all other blue remaining. The receiver is very fine with over 95% high polish factory blue remaining with slight edge wear and slight flaking of finish on barrel extension (common for this era of production). Bright vivid case colors remain on lever and hammer with butt plate fading to a lighter silver. Figured walnut stocks retain most all factory varnish with slight bruises and compressions consistent with light use at wrist and rear of forearm. Bore is shiny, bright and sharp. Action operates properly and has solid lock up. It is uncommon to find a blue finish antique range 1886 rifle in this type of superior condition.
