(C) MIB Winchester 20 Bore Upgraded & Engraved Pigeon Model 12 Shotgun (1950).

Lot # 253 (Sale Order: 251 of 545)

Someone went through great lengths and expense to upgrade this Model 12 to a Pigeon Grade Trap. It has been masterfully engraved on both sides of the frame with documented Winchester scenes which can be found on page 359 in the book "Winchester Engraving" attributed to George Ulrich. George Ulrich died in 1949 and this shotgun was manufactured in 1950, therefore it is a near exact copy of his work, the quality of which is comparable. The left side of the frame is engraved with four ducks with scroll and punch dot surroundings; right side exhibits the same scroll engraving with pointers and pheasants. Light engraving can be found on top and bottom of frame and takedown ring. Bolt and lifter are jeweled. Tube is stamped with pigeon. The three X wood is exquisite, as is the Type B carving and checkering with English straight grip stock. Gun features a solid rib, single bead, blued finish, takedown and a Winchester black composite buttplate. Base is engraved with a pigeon. It remains in near new condition inside and out with the only appreciable wear being a few slide marks from the pump handle. Comes with what appears to be an original box with Winchester label on top. Correct Winchester end label that was hand stamped "SPECIAL PIGEON" and hand written "NO. 5 STYLE ENGRAVING S. GRIP B CARVED SOLID RIB" with serial number. Looks as if it was an original unmarked Winchester label and then hand stamped and printed to fill in the specs of this shotgun as it now exists. It is a beautiful shotgun in all respects.Accessories: BoxBarrel Length: 28"Chamber: 2 - 3/4"Choke: FullFFL Status: Curio & RelicGauge: 20Manufacturer: WinchesterModel: 12Paperwork: No Serial Number: 1296019

Manufactured post-1923 parts clean-up. According to Madis, any gun after serial No. 702349 was built for order using leftover parts on hand. This is still basically a T...morehird Model so-called Trapper Carbine. This serial number is listed as exempt with 14" in the ATF records. This trapper was probably shipped in 1924-25 as a larger than normal amount of trappers were sent during this era. Features full magazine, two barrel bands, post front sight, ladder express rear sight, saddle erring and stud, walnut stocks and carbine butt. Overall the metal is soft grey-brown patina with well worn edges, salt and pepper texture on barrel. Address and caliber markings not readable. Tang is partially readable. (C) Johnson Automatics Model 1941 Rifle.

Lot # 273 (Sale Order: 270 of 545)

The Model 1941 Johnson Rifles were serial numbered in blocks of 9999. The first block did not have a letter prefix, the second block had a A prefix, and third block had a B prefix. Which would mean this would be the 26,826 rifle made out of 29,997. They were made by Crainston Arms which is stamped on the right side of the frame. All other numbered parts are simply parts numbers and will not and should not match the serial number. This distinctive looking rifle is a recoil operated semi-automatic rifle fitted with a rotary ten round magazine and half stock with metal ventilated handguard. Its record with the U.S. Marine Core in the Pacific has been well documented. It comes with a parkerized finish, checkered metal buttplate, and an adjustable rear sight graduated in meters. This gun is in excellent condition and does not appear to have seen much use. Rifle has near mint bore and fine action.Barrel Length: 24"Caliber/Bore: .30-06 SpringfieldFFL Status: Curio & RelicManufacturer: Johnson AutomaticsModel: Model of 1941Paperwork: No Serial Number: B6828

(C) Rare Winchester Model 64 cal, 25-35 WCF Lever Action Carbine (1949).

Lot # 277 (Sale Order: 274 of 545)

Features round barrel, factory hooded front sight, sporting rear and two piece walnut pistol grip stocks with checkered steel buttplate. The Model 64 carbine is a scarce gun however the .25-35 WCF chambering is by far the most uncommon of all Model 64's. The Model 64 was introduced in 1933 and produced until 1957 with a total of less than 67,000 total production. The rifle was an improved model and continuation of the Winchester Model 94. Manufactured in very limited quantities in .25-35 WCF in two grades; Standard and Deluxe. This example is a Standard Grade with high polish blue finish and straight grained walnut pistol grip stocks. These are very rarely found in fine condition and this is about as good as they get. Excellent condition overall with most all blue finish remaining with a trace of finish wear muzzle and edges of bottom of receiver. Slight edge wear does exist on receiver but very little. The wood stocks are equally fine with slight handling marks and several very small bruises from storage. It would be very difficult to improve upon this and would certainly be a great addition to any Winchester collection.Barrel Length: 20"Caliber/Bore: .25-35 WCFFFL Status: Curio & RelicManufacturer: WinchesterModel: 64Paperwork: No Serial Number: 1512242

Lot # 278 (Sale Order: 275 of 545)

Features 8-43 dated Inland barrel, Type I narrow band, "S" marked flip rear sight. Internal parts all appear to be correct Inland contract parts.
