(C) Near New 1959 Colt Python 6" .357 Magnum Double Action Revolver.

Lot # 376 (Sale Order: 371 of 545)

While finding a high condition Python is no large chore these days, if you're willing to spend the money; finding an original First Generation blued model that remains in near new condition can be quite daunting as very few of the early models survived the wear and tear of average use. This revolver appears to have seen little to no use during its lifetime. The cylinder notches show some light silver drag, the bottom corners of the frame has pinhead size high edge wear, there are two or three marks of finish loss on trigger guard, a pinhead sized spot of wear on front lower lug edge, a hint of silver at crane opening, pinhead area of wear to right lower edge of frame at hammer and a couple pinhead size areas of wear to cylinder. 99.9% of the original Colt factory royal blue finish. Near mint fully checkered walnut grips with gold medallion; gold medallion has some edge wear and the left grip has a few small dented diamonds. All other features are standard to include vent rib, full barrel lug, adjustable target sight, oval shaped checkered target hammer, serrated trigger and razor sharp stamps. As new inside. About as good as they get. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.Barrel Length: 6"Caliber/Bore: .357 MagnumFFL Status: Curio & RelicManufacturer: ColtModel: PythonPaperwork: No Serial Number: 7123
