GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE HERMANN MEYER TROPICAL HAT.

German World War II Luftwaffe Hermann Meyer tropical visor cap. Often referred to as an early "2nd model" because of the folded hand applied insignia, this example appear...mores to have been unissued but poorly stored over the years and therefore exhibits heavy soiling on the exterior. Cap is marked "56 1/2", "August Shellenberg, Uniformmutzen Fabrik, Berlin, C2", and "1942". Heavy tan cotton fabric construction with a red cotton inner top, 4 black screened vents, 3 tan metal dish buttons around the center band, and correct black leather patterned chinstrap with black painted steel fittings. Both the eagle and cockade/ wreath are Bevo, have been trimmed and folded, and are correctly hand stitched to the center band. Cap may clean up. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WEZ

THIRD REICH MUNICIPAL POLIZEI TSCHAKO.

Third Reich Polizei Tschako with a Feldgrau wool body, with very light nap wear throughout. black patent leather top has light crazing throughout, and black leather body ...moretrim has light scuffs. The black vulkanfibre front and rear visor, as well as the dark green undersides, have very light wear. Aluminum front plate is attached with undisturbed aluminum washers, brass screws and nuts, and along with the aluminum field badge, present only very light wear. National colors exhibit most of their paint. Field badge is marked "1940 / J.F.S.". All 4 vent screens are present. Black leather chinstrap with aluminum fittings, as well aluminum mounting posts, have light wear. Tan leather liner is intact with a few breaks. Leather chinstrap is present but out of place. Top cover is very nicely marked in the center with a size "55 - 1/2", and is marked "H. BECKER & Co / G.M.B.H. / BERLIN C2". CONDITION: Good.

GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE TROPICAL UNIFORM WITH TUNIC, TROUSERS, HAT, AND BELT.

German World War II Luftwaffe uniform grouping. Lot contains an unusual Heer tropical tunic marked with a RBNr, an unusual machine-sewn tropical Luftwaffe eagle on the ri...moreght breast, and EKII ribbon hand-sewn, and golden-yellow piped Hauptmann shoulder boards. Tunic has light wear throughout with moderate wear to the collar. Heer tropical HBT trousers, both size and RBNr marked, with heavy fading. Lot includes an unissued tropical web belt with an unissued Luftwaffe blue-gray steel buckle, which has a leather tab dated "1942" and make by "H. Aurich, Dresden. Lot also includes what is known as an Italian-made Luftwaffe officer's tropical cap. While the cap has textbook features such as the machine sewn tropical cockade, 4 brass vents, the correct officer bullion and the correct tropical eagle being machine sewn. The unusual feature of the eagle's application is that it is sewn as a trapezoid, a feature not encountered before by several well-known collectors. The sweatband is no longer present and there are no markings. CONDITION: Overall very good.

LOT OF 14: GERMAN WWI-COLD WAR BELTS AND BELT BUCKLES, INCLUDING SS BELT BUCKLE.

Lot consists of 3 German World War I belt buckles, 1 with full belt, another with partial belt dated 1917, and 1 loose buckle. There are also 2 German World War II Heer aluminum belt buckles, 1 is on a full belt, the other buckle is loose. Also included is an aluminum Hitler Youth belt buckle with small dent marked "RZM M4/23". The hightlight of the lot is a steel SS belt buckle on belt. The buckle is marked under the roller bar, with the logos of the RZM and SS, and the maker code 155/40 indicating manufacture by the firm of F.W. Assmann & Söhne in Lüdenscheid. The lot also includes a WWII German dress sword leather rig, Prussian belt, Spanish Civil War belt with buckle, and 2 East German belts with buckles. Lastly, there are 2 pickelhaube plates, 1 Prussian, and the other Baden. All pieces exhibit varying degrees of wear with blemishes. Some buckles exhibit a nice patina while others have appear to exhibit an older cleaning. CONDITION: Good.

CORRECTION: There is no SS buckle with this lot....more

Lot consists of (A) Rare Hitler Youth foul weather poncho, rich brown cloth with an oil cloth backing. Smooth brown composite buttons held with miniature paperboard butto...morens secure the front, and the same type of buttons are used to secure the arm openings in this sleeveless garment. The verso of each button bears an RZM stamp. The back of the garment features a series of straps beneath a flap on the shoulders that would allow the garment to be rolled up for easy storage. Bears a cloth label inside the collar, with Hitler Youth and RZM logos, identifying the garment as an "H.J. Regenumhang" ("Hitler Youth Rain Cape"), manufactured by Gieral. A seldom encountered poncho, the only major flaw being a 4" tear at the right pocket. CONDITION: Very good. (B) Hitler Youth sports shirt. Cotton body with HJ insignia and sewn swastika at center. 1 hole going through both sides of at the bottom, light soiling throughout. Insignia is unmolested. Tag present with nice colors. CONDITION: Good. (C) 2 German WWII era wood hangers with lettering. CONDITION: Good.

Shell exterior retains approximately 70% of a smooth blue-gra...morey paint with most the wear on the crown. Shell interior retains approximately 70% of its paint with dullness and freckling. Luftwaffe eagle rates 75-80% with crazing, and the tricolor rates 85-90% with crazing. A coat of era-applied lacquer. A later liner was added at some point with most of the leather missing and a zinc liner band, with very loose rivets. An original chinstrap with steel fittings is present with heavy wear and a black tape rear from a break in the leather. CONDITION: Overall fair to good. WEZ

Sweatband is dry and cracking, too fragile to check for marking. Salty with stains and missing pieces. Nice set of goggles attatched with worn elastic. CONDITION: Fair. (B) German WWII 2nd Pattern tropical olive cotton pith helmet marked "JHS" on sweatband and stamped "58-1942" with light wear, and stains. Decals exhibit matching patina and appear original to helmet. Complete with leather chinstrap. Cracking to red felt crown. CONDITION: Good. (C) NSKK 1st pattern crash helmet in size with a black leather body that exhibits scuffs and wear throughout. 3-hole ventilation grommet on each side. Leather neck flaps and chinstrap are present but worn. Eagle with heavy patina. Leather liner is also worn with missing drawstring. Missing crown pad. CONDITION: Fair.

German World War II Heer M35 double decal helmet in a shell maker/size "Q/62" and lot number of "956". The entire shell has been repainted with visible brush strokes. She...morell exterior retains approximately 65% of a smooth gray-green paint. Shell interior retains approximately 70% of its paint with dullness, dirt, and freckling. On the inner rear skirt is painted the name "O:Schirrm.Holzwarrn" and the unit "1./ I.R. 13" in white. Toned Heer eagle rates 60-65% with crazing, and the tricolor rates 60-65%, with crazing. Both had a coating of lacquer poorly applied. Early liner is dry, dirty and with moderate wear and all tongues present. Original rivers appear undisturbed. An original early chinstrap with aluminum fittings is present with heavy wear and the tip is missing. CONDITION: Overall fair to good. WEZ

Shell exterior retains approximately 90% of its rough blue-gray paint, with freckling, scrapes, and white paint. Shell interior retains approximately 95% of its rough paint with dust and freckling. Luftwaffe eagle rates 95+%, with era-applied lacquer. A reproduction tricolor decal was added postwar and is likely to be easily removed. Original liner had moderate rim wear and a glue repair on one of its tongues. Drawstring is present. Zinc liner band with what appears to be undisturbed rivets. An original chinstrap with steel and aluminum fittings is present with moderate wear was added after the war. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WEZ

WWII GERMAN LUFTWAFFE BADGE BY BSW.

Lot # 3318 (Sale Order: 317 of 457)      

An early, high quality Luftwaffe Pilots Badge struck from fine nickel silver. The obverse of this badge shows only great original detail to the eagle and wreath. The eagle retains nice original dark finish to the recesses but has worn off of the raised areas. The wreath is similar with patina and attractive age toning. The reverse of the eagle exhibits the BSW clover leaf marking, indicating manufacture by Brüder Schneider AG, in Vienna. A pleasant patina is exhibited on the reverse. The letters "Fl" and the name "Weiss" are crudely engraved on the reverse of the wreath. The hardware is correct for this maker and features a barrel hinge, round wire pin, and “question mark” shaped catch. The pin is straight. Rivets are correct and intact. No repairs and the pin still functions as it should. CONDITION: Good....more

THIRD REICH ERA SLOVAKIA ORDER OF PRINCE PRIBINA BREAST STAR.

Lot # 3324 (Sale Order: 323 of 457)      

The Slovakian Order of Pribina was instituted in May 1940 and awarded to both Slovaks and foreigners, with one foreign recipient being the Third Reich Foreign Minister, Joachim Von Ribbentrop. The Order was abolished at the end of World War II with the establishment of Communist Yugoslavia. The breast star is riveted construction and measures approximately 3-1/2". The pin on the reverse bears a silver content mark of “987” and a maker mark of “K”. Each of the tips of the rays have been slightly angled inward. Silvered finish exhibits a pleasing patina with evidence of an old price tag on reverse. Functioning pin. CONDITION: Good....more
