REEL LURE HALF CHARMER

Lot # 1330 (Sale Order: 330 of 622)

2" Length. The earliest iteration of Springfield Novelty’s Reel Lure, these were initially made around 1930 by rounding down a Charmer tail and factory repainting the nose. The rear prop is a shortened Charmer prop, and the nose weight is slightly wedge-shaped with flat sides. Not many of these intro style baits have been found, and this one is a nice factory original bait in a festive pattern.

Lot # 1331 (Sale Order: 331 of 622)

MOONLIGHT 2005 JOINTED PIKAROON IN UNCATALOGUED CARNIVAL SPOT IN CORRECT BOX

Lot # 1332 (Sale Order: 332 of 622)

4 - 1/4" Length. This incredible minty combo is described on page 145 in Swartz’s Moonlight book as carrying the “05” color designation intended to represent any uncatalogued color up until 1925, at which point the “05” color was then designated as Rainbow. Also, notice how the other end of the box was initially marked “606”, which would have been for a Luminous 99% Weedless Plug, but then was obviously factory repurposed. A beautiful and fascinating combo with both items in a very high grade. The bait is essentially factory fresh without any hint of wear from use.
