Bourne Denby Relief Figure Pitcher

Bourne Denby pitcher, marked "Bourne Denby England" and incised "2 PT" and "S" in the bottom surface. Pitcher features relief figures of a hunting scene, as well as a man napping on a barrel, a windmill, and two men walking with a lantern. Pitcher is obviously an imitation of the pitcher featured as lot #30 in this auction, from rival company Doulton Lambeth, and likely dates to roughly the same era. Craftsmanship is of high quality, though obviously not to the same standard as the Doulton Lambeth pitcher. Overall good condition. Blank paper label stuck to outside of pitcher....more

Salt glazed pitcher, gray with blue underglaze highlights. Features embossed floral decoration and patterning, as well as a scene of Paul Revere riding past a farmhouse. Under this scene the pitcher is embossed "Paul Revere". On the other side of the pitcher is a raised relief of a man holding a cup (presumably this is also Paul Revere). Incised "12" on bottom. In overall good condition, with minor fleabites and one smooth chipped surface on the lower rim beneath the left side of the handle....more
