The ring features a polished, stamped, and tested platinum construct...moreion that is marked as follows: Sheffield & Sons - PT950. The center stone is a prong set oval mixed cut natural pinkish brown sapphire and measures 9.14 x 6.60 x 3.58mm that shows a moderately clean clarity that is type II that is medium dark and is slightly grayish with pinkish brown color and shows a total weight of 2.02cts The center stone and shoulders are decorated with a double halo ring with a total of 60 prong set round brilliant cut diamonds that shows a clarity of VVS2 - VS2 and a coloration of F - H and a total diamond weight of 0.44cts. The ring size is US 6 1/2. The piece comes complete with AIG(American International Gemologists, a GIA certified lab AIG Appraisal Number#: 000722093017) report and appraisal confirming the above info and giving a total value of $11,770.00.

The lot features an original circa 1879 New Jersey Warren County Land Deed with original large Plains Indian Ledger Art Drawings. The paperwork is for the sale of land in...more Warren County New Jersy totaling $5,126 in 1879 signed by Sheriff Benjamin F. Howry. When completely folded out the piece is hand drawn with pencil and colored pencil with a Buffalo / Bison kill scene, showing the Indian Warrior with several arrows in the three Buffalo standing with a coup stick in hand. Behind him is the war horse fully painted. There is a small snake in the bottom left corner, a signature of sorts. There are also many Sioux Ghost Dance symbols such as the crescent moon or half moon, four-point morning star with Maltese cross as well as a red eyed buffalo bison skull. The piece is from the same collection as the Blemmingham Ledger book collection, the very same as the 1890-1891 Buffalo Kill Ledger sold in 2022 by NAAC for $2,016 and the Ca. 1903- Plains Indian Ledger Art Land Deed piece that sold at our auction in 2024 for $3,276 (shown w/ bp). The original deed dates to circa 1903, the artwork appears to be of an older age but exact age is unknown. The document measures 26.5”L by 8.25”W when laid out (and 3.5” by 8.25” when folded up). One of the largest ledger arts from this collection we have offered.

The snowshoe frames are wonderfully and professionally crafted wooden construction that show...mores formed construction that shows two supporting bard inside with a rounded frame that is bonded together with leather strings. The holes are drilled to string the snowshoe netting and they are already lined up. The Ojibwe, Ojibwa, Chippewa, or Saulteaux are an Anishinaabe people in what is currently southern Canada, the northern Midwestern United States, and Northern Plains. They are Indigenous peoples of the Subarctic and Northeastern Woodlands. The condition of this pair of snowshoes frame is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage to the frame but is not strung with the netting of the snowshoes but otherwise shows well preserved condition. The measurements of this pair of snowshoes is 12 5/8" x 3 7/8". The collective weight of this pair of snowshoes frame is U6oz.

The barrister bookcase...more was born out of necessity. Barristers, or lawyers that specialize in case law and represent clients in court, found themselves in need of a piece of furniture that could not only store volumes of reference books but also could be transported safely and easily as they traveled from court to court. This barrister features four hinged glass doors that open upwards and slide into place to keep them open. Each piece is secure but can easily be taken off to add or subtract sections or for easy transportation. Overall the cabinet is in good condition for its vintage age. It shows some wear from its use over the years, but no signs of obvious damage is noted. The piece measures 14 1/8" L x 33 13/16" W x 61 15/16" H.

These specimen books were used by the agents of publishers to entic...moree customers to agree to purchase a copy of a work in advance of delivery. This form of marketing was common in America during the years just before and after the Civil War. The book shows the most popular gold gilt embossed front cover showing a portrait of Sitting Bull at the top with a battle scene vignette below, medallion images of both Major General Miles and U.S. Deputy Bartlett. At the bottom of the cover is a vignette of the Ghost Dance, embossed title as such. Insert cards from the publisher describe the binding alternative and also the contents of the actual book, In the back of the book are ledger pages for the salesman to log the subscriber’s signature, residence, style of banding, and price (agreed upon). The green cloth bound gold gilt illustrated stamped hardcover is in nice condition, scuffing and gilt fading exhibited. Intact pages exhibit age tanning and foxing throughout, measures 5.5"W x 8"L x .75"D.

The second is a polychrome colored hand carved totem with a Thunder Bird and a Sea Bear carved by a Pachena Indian carver out of B.C., Canada. The third is a First Nations sculpture of a thunderbird by Joe Becker from The Musrueam Reserve out of Vancover, B.C. The last is a composite piece in a totem style with black coloration and machine cut grade material. The condition of this collection of Native totems is fiar with some wear and a chip to one of the totems but otherwise shows fair overall condition. The measurements of these totems range from 12 3/4" x 10" x 3 1/8" to 6" x 2 7/8" x 2 1/2". The collective weight of this totem collection is 1lb 8oz.

The condition of this pair of these beaded sheaths is preserved with one of them showing some age with wear to the hide but otherwise shows a preserved condition. ComPatron 54 assumed additional duty as commanding officer of the group. Henry L. Hanson Oak Wood Display Case Late 1800s

For your consideration is this late 1800s oak wood display case manufactured for the Henry L. Hanson company of Worcester, Massachusetts. The front panel has hand painted...more gold and red-outlined lettering with the manufacturer's name and location. The case opens in the front to a display area lined by blue felt. The back bottom is open and houses an open area for more storage under the blue felt, only accessible from the back. The display case would have showcased taps and dies or some variety of tool produced by Henry Hanson. The Henry L. Hanson company was initially housed in a five-story building at 25 Union Street in Worcester. Built in 1879 by a wealthy merchant, Stephen Salisbury, it was first used by the porter last company before being occupied by Hanson. For 50 years, Hanson made taps and dies there that gained world-wide fame for their quality. They eventually made a variety of hand and power tool accessories under names such as "handy" as well as "ace" and sold these through retail hardware outlets, mass merchants, and automotive and industrial channels. At its height, local companies made machine tools, wire products, power looms, ice skates, and corsets. However, its industrial decline began after World War II. The display case shows good condition overall with wear present from its age and use over the years but no signs of major damage is present. The case measures 12 3/4" L x 17 3/4" W x 8 3/4" H and weighs 9 pounds and 2 ounces.

For your Consideration is this 1894 illustrated edition of “Headwaters of the Mississippi” by Willard Glazier, publisher Rand, McNally & Company, Chicago and New York. Ca...moreptain Willard Glazier (1841-1905) led an expedition in 1881 that discovered the "True Head" of the Mississippi. Previous efforts by others had failed or unknowingly fell short. In 1832, another explorer had discovered Lake Itasca, thinking it was the source. Indian tribes in the area denied the assertion. Glazier discovered another lake lying to the south of Itasca, at a higher elevation, that fed into Lake Itasca. This lake now bears Glazier's name. The book is illustrated throughout with drawings, maps, and even the first photographs taken of the area by another on the expedition. The blue cloth bound gold and silver gilt stamped illustrated hardcover is in nice condition, front cover gilt is bright, spine gilt is fading. Front cover illustration depicts lakes Glazier and Itasca and tributaries along with the Mississippi river in silver gilt, title and map compass rose in gold gilt. Intact pages exhibit age tanning and slight foxing throughout. Measures 1lb, 14oz.
