This Auction is cross-listed on multiple sites. In cases where the winning bidder is not clear, the final determination of the winning bidder for any item is solely up to Old Steel Historical Firearms.
Before attempting to bid on any items, please ensure the card on file is the one you want to use to pay for the item(s) you are bidding on, is up to date and has the adequate funds to make that payment.
Please read the Payment Instructions, Shipping Instructions and Special Terms for this auction before registering to bid. Registering to bid in this auction is an act of agreement to all instructions and terms attached to this auction.
This is an online auction in which you, the bidder, are determining the price. Consequently, all sales are final. Understand that the final determination of the authenticity and condition of the items listed are up to the participants of the auction. The auction house performs its own due diligence for the purposes of accurate descriptions, but due to the high volume of items there are things that can be missed or overlooked. In person inspection is permitted at our premises during business hours, until 48 hours before the first lot closes in the auction. All items are sold for the purpose of being collection pieces, and should be inspected by a professional before engaging in the original intended use.
If you make a bid in error, need to update your tax exempt status, or are having trouble rendering payment you must contact the auction site.
Payment
You will see two charges for this auction. The first is for the items you have won and hammer fees. The second is for shipping costs. Taxes and processing fees are calculated and collected by the auction site payment processor, not Old Steel Historical Firearms. The buyer is responsible for paying all costs shown on the invoice, including any updates such as shipping costs.
Invoices are sent out on the next business day after the auction has closed. The default card on file will be automatically charged 24 hours after your invoice is sent.
We only accept credit cards and ACH as a form of payment. Please note that ACH transactions take longer to post and may delay the time at which we can ship your order. We do not accept check, money order, wire transfer, cash or pay pal.
Failure to pay within 7 days after the invoice send date will result in forfeiture of any won items and a dispute filed. If you wish to pay for the items to lift the dispute, you must contact Old Steel Historical Firearms during normal business hours within 30 days of the original invoice date to arrange payment. A $100 fee will be added for delinquent payments.
Shipping
The buyer is responsible for shipping costs.
Once your order is processed and a shipping label is created, a request for shipping payment will be sent. We calculate and charge shipping separately in order to keep shipping costs as low as possible for individuals who win our auctions.
Orders containing firearms will not be processed until a valid FFL is sent to auctions@oldsteelguns.com.
Orders containing antiques (MFG before 1898) and black powder guns will not be processed until proper identification (I.E: a driver's license or government issued photo ID) is sent to auctions@oldsteelguns.com.
If proper documentation (Valid FFL to ship to for firearms, Photo ID for antiques) is not provided within 30 days of the auction closing you will be refunded for the item(s) less a 20% restocking fee and they will be relisted. Firearms and Antiques will require an adult signature on delivery, which will be reflected in shipping costs.
WE DO NOT SHIP AMMUNITION INTERNATIONALLY
We appreciate your patience when it comes to shipping times. We are a small team, and are processing orders from multiple auctions as well as other channels, often dealing with hundreds of customer orders. We do not give estimates for shipping times. We will contact you if any further action is needed to process your order.
Local Pickup
We welcome and encourage local pickup if you are in the area. Please contact us at auctions@oldsteelguns.com with a day that you intend to pick up your winnings. If we do not hear from you within 14 days after we send your initial invoice, we will ship your items to the shipping address associated with your account.
