1990 Nissan S-Cargo Van

Lot # 154 (Sale Order: 169 of 200)

The Nissan S-Cargo is a radically different retro-styled van manufactured by Nissan from 1989 to 1991. The S-Cargo was originally marketed solely in Japan at their Nissan Cherry Stores, and over its two-year production run only 8,000 were produced.

The S-Cargo was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1989 and was originally marketed without Nissan branding and was available by reservation only.

Because of its origins at the Pike Factory, (Nissan?s special project group), the S-Cargo,along with the Nissan Figaro are known as Nissan?s ?Pike cars.? In 2011, noted design critic Phil Patton, of The New York Times, called the Pike cars ?the height of postmodernism? .

The exterior styling of the S-Cargo was inspired by the Citro...n 2CV delivery van, and interior styling borrowed a Citro...n-style single-spoke steering wheel. The name was a double entendre, standing for ?Small Cargo? and sounding like ?escargot?, which in turn is a nickname for the Citro...n 2CV.

The S-Cargo is powered by a 1.5 L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, a 3-speed automatic transmission,.

Optional items included, an electric canvas sunroof, and air conditioning.

Seller states this Nissan S-Cargo is in very good condition inside and out, and could be a fun advertising tool.

2001 Chrysler Prowler

Lot # 158 (Sale Order: 173 of 200)

The Chrysler Prowler, is a retro-styled production sports car based on the 1993 concept car of the same name. The Prowler was offered in a single generation in a front-engine, rear-drive, rear-transmission configuration.Chrysler engineers were given free rein to design whatever they wanted in a "hot rod" type vehicle. An early influence is credited to a Chrysler-sponsored project at the Art Center College of Design. This resulted in a thesis by Douglas "Chip" Foose, which included drawings of a retro-roadster. Foose "designed it as a coupe for Chrysler to begin with but modified it to a roadster version. The Prowler is powered by a 24-valve, 3.5 L Chrysler aluminum-block, SOHC V6 engine producing 253 hp at 6400 rpm version of the engine, producing more horsepower than most of the Magnum V8s of the time.. Both engines were coupled to a four-speed Autostick automatic transmission.
