Early 1800s Elk-Hide Dress
Presumed to be from 1800-1820 embellished with cowry shells, coral, bone, and seed beads this very early example of fashion has various areas of wear and repair as seen in photos but displays incredibly well and includes bag of repair items including original shells. Hide is still buttery soft, fringe does not show stiffening for all intents and purposes this is a true piece of history ready to adorn your space.
