Cal. 7.62x39. S# 2401728. S# on receiver, bolt carrier and trigger guard. Bbl. 16 5/8". Receiver is marked on left side with "DP" and 3 Chinese characters. Import marked ...moreon left side of receiver. Rifle has been modified by shortening the barrel, plus the removal of the front sight assembly, bayonet mount, bayonet and cleaning rod. The aftermarket receiver cover has a Weaver type rail fitted. MAGS: the magazine box has been replaced by an aftermarket detachable 30 rd. mag. The mag. latch does not readily release. Tangent rear sight is graduated to 1,000 meters. No front sight is fitted. Side folding black composite stock and handguard with checkered pistol grip and forend. The folding stock functions correctly. CONDITION: stock is in near excellent condition with very light wear. Metal retains most of original finish with light wear and scratches. Black side folding (aftermarket) stock and handguard with instructions by Advanced Technology Incorporated. Green web sling. Plastic oil bottle and gas port cleaning tool. The receiver is marked only with an S#. Bolt carrier numbered 0-00 022. The bottom of the mag. is numbered SL-4-00.000. The receiver cover is faintly numbered 0-00-005 and has a boxed acceptance mark. Elm stock has had the matching serial number mostly removed by what appears to be battle damage. The cleaning rod is not present. 9 1/2" blade folding bayonet with the distinctive Yugoslav fullers and the dark frosted appearance. Trap buttplate. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear staining and handling marks, as well as the 2" gouge mentioned above. Metal is well worn, retaining traces of blue-turning patina. Fair worn dark bore. Mfg. by BSA in England. The rifle carries both British & Nepalese markings & predates the Zulu wars. Receiver is marked on right side w/ a crown, “V.R.”, “BSA & M.CO”, “1876” & “Crown Arrow II.”. Left side of receiver & bbl. have numerous view marks plus broad arrow & WD. Left side of bbl. below rear sight marked “N.S. NEP” which internet research indicates stands for “Native States” which were countries near the British Raj known to receive arms from the British. “NEP” is likely Nepal. 2 Piece walnut stock set. Forend is fastened by 2 bands. Upper band has bayonet lug. Original cleaning rod is present. Buttstock is marked on the right side. (Markings appear to be Nepalese, 94 & AC over 28.) Enfield roundel over 1 & II over 1894 roundel “Altahara …?” & “2”. Unmarked vintage brown leather sling w/ rawhide fastening. CONDITON: stock set has moderate wear & handling marks expected in an elderly rifle w/ long service, but retains good appearance & generally clear markings. WITH AFGHANISTAN IMPORT PAPERS. Cal. .577/.450. NSN. Bbl. 33 1/2". Ladder rear sight graduated to 1300 yards. Stud type front sight. This interesting rifle was obtained i...moren Afghanistan and brought back to the U.S. It did not fall into the definition of a weapon or war trophy, likely due to its age. The receiver is marked on the right side with "crown", "VR" / "ENFIELD" / "1877" / "II". The rifle and its components are marked with numerous "view marks" and "broad arrows". It has the short underlever. The upper band carries the bayonet lug. Replacement cleaning rod. Walnut stock set has only traces of a circular marking on the right side of the butt. Sling swivels appear to be replacements and are carried on the trigger guard and upper band. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: includes a notarized affidavit stating that a permit was not needed for the purpose of introducing this item into the U.S. Also includes DD form 2855 for the U.S. Military Agriculture and Customs Pre Clearance Program. CONDITION: rifle has seen extensive service in a harsh environment and is well worn with extensive handling marks. The metal has been cleaned but is returning to gray and patina. Some parts appear to be local, fabricated replacements. Breech block cannot be fully lowered. Dark, worn, oxidized bore. (01-24636/RW). ANTIQUE. $200-400.

The left side o...moref the bbl. is marked "COLT. D.A. 38", with Colt's address above "PATENTED AUG.5.1884 NOV.6.88. MAR.5.95." stamped across the top. Left side of frame, cyl., cyl. crane, cyl. latch, and underside of bbl. exhibit a "C" within a star proof, with the bbl. exhibiting a "P" above the star proof. Butt is marked "U.S.N./ (ANCHOR)/ 38D.A./ (TRIDENT)/ No/ 6445/ N.C.T./ 17148". Metal components exhibit a lustrous blue finish, which was reapplied at the arsenal at the time of conversion. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered "COLT" black hard rubber grips. Half-moon blade front sight with "U" frame notched rear sight. All assembly numbers are matching and include the frame, cyl., cyl. crane, cyl. latch, and underside of bbl., with the grips matching via a hand inscribed "148" on the interior of the panels. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their period reapplied arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, scattered handling marks, some concentrated areas of pitting (primarily on the bbl.), as well as spots of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light surface oxidation, a couple small spots of pitting, and strong rifling throughout. Grips are good, exhibiting mild smoothing, some scattered handling marks, as well as a few minor nicks to the diamonds, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-1071/MLW). ANTIQUE. $500-1,000.

D....moreA. 38", with Colt's mfg. information above "PATENTED AUG. 5TH 1884 NOVEMBER 6TH 1888". marked across the top of the bbl. Left side of frame exhibits the encircled Rampant Colt logo. S# is stamped on the butt. Frame, cyl., and bbl. exhibit a lustrous blue finish, with the trigger, top strap of the hammer, frame screws, and grip screw exhibiting a nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered brown hard rubber grips. Half-moon blade front sight with frame notched rear sight. Matching assembly numbers are present on the frame, cyl. crane, cyl., bbl., and are also hand-scribed on the interior of the grip panels. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, some scattered handling marks, as well as some areas of mild surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Cyl. latch does not retain the cyl., catches when retracted, and occasionally gets locked in the rear position. Grips exhibit some smoothing and a few nicks to the diamonds, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. A nice example of an unmodified Colt Model 1889 double action revolver. (01-25151/MLW). D.A. 38", with Colt's mfg. information above "PATENTED AUG.5.1884 NOV.6.88. MAR.5.95." marked across the top. Butt is marked "U.S.N./ (ANCHOR)/ .38D.A./ No/ 2991/ P/ W.K.K./ 1889". Cyl. latch and rear face of cyl. exhibit a "T" within a triangle proof mark. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered hard rubber grips. Interior of left grip panel is hand scribed "King //2" below the assembly number "3029", with "E.L.K. //2" below the assembly number on the interior of the right panel. Grips are slightly undersized, appearing to be off of a New Army / New Navy revolver. Matching assembly numbers are present on the frame, cyl. crane, and cyl. latch. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster embossed "USN" within an oval on the closure flap. CONDITION: metal components retain scant traces of their arsenal blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a dark mottled gray patina, with areas of light to mild pitting overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light pitting and surface oxidation throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing with some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Interior of left grip panel exhibits a crack at the center that does not appear to effect serviceability. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting age related cracking, with flaking and crazing present overall. (24-1068/MLW). ANTIQUE. $300-400.

Cal. 38 Colt. S# 67869. Bbl. 6". Model 1901 New Army double action revolver originally mfg. by Colt in 1895, subsequently converted into the Model 1901 configuration, and...more later refurbished by Remington-UMC. The left side of the bbl. is marked "COLT D.A. 38", with Colt's 2-line address marked across the top. Left side of frame is inspector stamped "RAC" above a poorly stamped "L E B" (Captain Leroy E. Briggs), indicating that this revolver was one of approximately 19,000 New Army revolvers recalled to Remington-UMC in 1918 for secondary issue during World War I. Original butt markings have been polished and restamped during the period at the arsenal to indicate conversion. Metal components exhibit a lustrous blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece smooth wood grips. Butt of grips exhibit an "RAC" inspector proof. Half-moon blade front sight with "U" frame notched rear sight. Butt is arsenal fitted with a lanyard loop. Matching assembly numbers are present on the frame, cyl. crane, and cyl. latch. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their period arsenal blue finish, exhibiting wear, thinning, scattered handling marks, and light to mild surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips exhibit scattered marks, dings, and impressions. Right grip panel exhibits a chip at the bottom right corner, with the left grip exhibiting a notable crack that is visible on the butt and interior of the panel. (24-1050/MLW). ANTIQUE. $500-700.
