RIFLE. Cal. 7.62x51. S# B2288. Numbers match on the receiver, bolt, and bayonet lug. Bbl. 25". Butt socket is marked on the right side with a faint Indian crest: "RIFLE 7...more.62mm R.F.I. 1965." Markings were faintly obscured by the Arsenal rework finish. Tangent rear sight is the later 2A1 Type, graduated to 800 meters. Blade front sight. The nose cap has protective ears and a bayonet lug. Ears have a distinctive squared appearance. These rifles were made . of improved steel to withstand the higher pressure of 7.62 NATO ammunition. Stock set of dark Indian hardwood. Buttstock is marked on the right side with a faintly encircled "SA" with a vertical arrow. Forend has an "INDIAN KISS"-marked cross bolt. Buttstock has pinned repairs at heel and toe plus a straight-cut aluminum buttplate with trap. The lower buttplate screw is not present. The rear handguard has a small area of replaced wood plus transverse wood reinforcement. MAGS: 1 Detachable 10 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching Navy Arms cardboard shipping box and instruction pamphlet. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, staining, and handling marks. Left side of receiver has Tulle arsenal markings & 1886/93/R35 marking. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1000m. Wide blade front sight. European hardwood stock set w/ left side sling swivels & original sling. It is stated that this rifle was found in a cave in Brest, France in 1944. Purportedly in the cave there was a large amount of ammo, rifles w/ bent bbls. & destroyed stocks in the cave but there is no written provenance to prove this. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: R35 bayonet w/ matching scabbard in fair condition w/ overall oxidation staining & some light pitting. CONDITION: arsenal reworked stock set shows scattered dings & handling marks. Upper tang is proud of wood. Metal retains 60% arsenal black enamel finish w/ scattered flaking. FRENCH MAS 1949/56 SEMI-AUTO MILITARY RIFLE WITH

Post-front sight with protective ears. Import-marked on the left side of the receiver. The Model 1949/56 rifle was an improvement from the original MAS 49 by the adoption of an integral grenade launcher with a muzzle brake and the ability to mount a bayonet. The Model 49/56 was a reliable and effective rifle and continued in service until the adoption of the FAMAS rifle in 1979. The receiver is marked on the left side "MAS MLE 1949-56/CAL.7.5." The grenade launcher is the NATO standard 22mm Spigot. The grenade launcher has a sliding ring to set the range and a flip-up grenade launcher sight. A night-sight attachment was developed that will clamp onto the grenade launcher. Bolt is marked on top with "DH71" and "SM." Grooved nylon bolt knob. Hardwood stock set with original tan leather side-mounted sling. MAGS: 1 - 5-rd. and 4 (detachable) 10-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original French language technical manual dated "1974" in sealed factory sleeve. Bayonet with composite grip and plastic scabbard with green leather frog is in its sealed "1989" dated packaging. The label is marked "BAYONET F.S.A. 49/56." Luminous night sight dated "1971" complete with green canvas pouch. Pull through cleaning kit with chamber brush and dust brush in sealed package. Green plastic oil bottle. The tool kit in the sealed pouch consists of two screwdrivers, a spare extractor, two grenade-retaining springs, and a broken shell extractor. Two tan leather accessory pouches for the above items. The black rubber slip-on recoil pad is marked "MAS 1962." Padded plastic hard case. CONDITION: stock set has light wear and moderately scattered handling marks. Metal retains 60% of its original finish with thinning wear and handling marks. Bore has moderately worn lands with frosting in grooves. PROVENANCE: from the Lifelong Collection of Terrance McCarty. Receiver rail is marked "Mod. 98." Bbl. is marked over chamber with "13A," "A," and an inverted "U" in the triangle. Blued steel bolt with turndown handle. The extractor is plum-colored. Laminated stock set. Buttstock is marked on the left side with S# and small, encircled marking, which appears "UA." The right side of the buttstock has (bored soldier) "X.". All milled furniture except for the cup-type buttplate. Steel takedown disk. Provision for side slings. Upper and lower bands are retained by a single spring. The upper band is solid type. A bayonet bar and cleaning rod are present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 10" fullered blade. Mauser-type bayonet. The right ricasso is numbered "4591u." The cross guard is numbered "4779." Smooth walnut grips. Matching blued steel scabbard. Bayonet has worn out. Bayonets and scabbards are heavily coated with protective grease. Both retain a fair degree of their original finish. CONDITION: stock has moderate wear, staining, and handling marks. Approx. 2" crack in grip behind receiver tang. Metal retains 60% of its worn, thinning blue, with small scratches and handling marks. Buttstock is marked on the right side with the encircled "B," "02," and an encircled "2." Stock is marked on the left side over the magwell, which appears to read "58" with a vertical line dividing the digits. CONDITION: stock set has light to moderate wear, staining, and handling marks while retaining a good appearance with the original finish. MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 6.5 Jap. S# 1449884. Non-matching numbers throughout. Bbl. 31 1/8". Ladder rear sight graduated to 2,400 meters. Inverted V front sight. Mum has not ...morebeen defaced but has a worn, slightly faint appearance. Type 38 characters are legible. The left receiver is marked with Koishikawa interlocking circles. Straight bolt handle with an oval knob. Large tang-checkered safety knob. The cleaning rod and bayonet lug are present. Hardwood stock set. Two-piece buttstock construction. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 15 1/2" fullered blade bayonet marked on the right ricasso with the Nagoya Arsenal marking. Curved quillon. Smooth hardwood grips are retained by two screws. Steel scabbard. The bayonet blade has been lightly sharpened and retains traces of its original blue. The balance of the metal is turning gray with patina. Grips are worn. Full-length crack on top of the right grip. Scabbard has shallow dents with wear and is turning gray with patina. CONDITION: stock set has a dark, stained appearance with an added finish, moderate wear, scratches, and handling marks. There are noticeable missing chips underneath the forend tip. Buttstock joint is slightly opened. Metal has 40% of its blue turning gray with patina and wear, handling marks, and areas of light oxidation. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Robert "Mike" Bricker. (24-1018/RW). The ...morereceiver is marked with a mostly defaced chrysanthemum above Kanji characters denoting the model designation over the chamber, with a Series 6 symbol, followed by the S# and Nagoya arsenal insignia marked on the left receiver wall. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood 2-piece stock and handguard. Non-original black polymer cleaning rod end. Late pattern cylindrical bolt handle. Bolt assembly is locked in place in the receiver and is missing its safety knob, firing pin, and spring. Anti-aircraft rear sight without "wings". Late pattern solid rear bbl. band. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: reproduction bayonet with scabbard. CONDITION: metal components retain fair to good amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning that shows through to brown patina and areas of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting good rifling throughout. Stock exhibits scattered marks, dings, and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Spanish American War-era Mauser...more carbine made by Ludwig Loewe. The top of the receiver has a Spanish crest with the date 1894. The left side rail has Loewe & Espanol Modelo 1893 markings. Matching numbers on the receiver, rear sight parts, bolt shroud, safety, trigger guard, and stock. Floorplate and bolt body numbers are faint and illegible. One of the rear sight base screws is missing. Walnut stock set with saddle ring on the underside of the wrist. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brass muzzle cap that is numbered "47." CONDITION: sanded stock set has an added varnish with a rough area behind the saddle bar, some chipping, scattered dings, and handling wear. Metal has a mostly light gray patina with some pitting and scattered oxidation. Bore shows scattered oxidation and pitting but may clean up better. Beech stock set w/ bottom mounted sling swivels. Stock disc has triangles over both "1" & "3" for bore condition. Right side of butt also has four vacant holes & discolored area, likely where a data plate once was. Underside of wrist has a faint Swedish crown marking. CONDITION: stock set shows scattered dings & handling marks. Buttplate shows scattered oxidation w/ some pitting & scratches.
