Bbl. is marked on th...moree octagonal reinforce "1884" "BRESCIA". These rifles were developed as the single shot Vetterli model 1870. They were converted in 1887 by the addition of a Vitali magazine making a 4 shot repeater. The rifles were again converted to 6.5 Carcano because of a shortage of rifles during WWI. The conversion included installing yet another mag. & relining the bore for the smaller diameter bullet. The rifle has a 1 piece walnut stock w/ matching S# on right side of butt. The forend is retained by 2 clamping bands. Bottom swivels. Cleaning rod is present. Bayonet lug on right side of bbl. CONDITION: stock has considerable wear due to long service w/ thinning arsenal rework finish & numerous handling marks throughout. Sm. crack behind receiver tang. Filler on left side of magazine well appears partly detached. Metal has turned an overall brown patina w/ wear, oxidation & fine pitting. Bore has visible rifling but w/ dark oxidized appearance. U.S. marked bayonet has light wear & oxidation turning gray & patina. Bayonet has scratching &scuffing. Worn brass tip has turned overall patina. CONDITION: stock has moderate wear, staining & handling marks throughout w/ a light restorative cleaning. Notable missing chips at forward end of channel. Hole in left side of forend appears to be from a nail. Sm. crack behind rear of lockplate. Worn metal has turned overall patina w/ oxidation & light pitting. Dark worn bore w/ pitting throughout. MAGS: 1 two tone 7 rd. mag. w/ pinned base. Good mag. finish w/ cleaned patina throughout. CONDITION: bbl. has been cleaned of finish w/ patina. Slide has been bead blasted & parkerized w/ areas of cleaned pitting & restamped markings. Frame has been cleaned & bead blast refinished. Replacement slide lock & slide lock has very good blue. Grip safety & hammer has very good blue. Mainspring housing has gray patina appearance. Very good left grip panel utilizing 1 original & 1 replacement grip screw. Good right grip panel w/ sm. gouges. Matte finished magazine with seven indicator holes, left side marked with Walther banner/PP 7.65mm”, flat base. CONDITION: approximately 90-95% original high polish salt blue finish with expected holster wear and fading of the front and back straps. Comparable fading over the fire blued safety. Left side of slide and frame exhibit a Walther Eagle/WaA359 waffenamt, indicating military acceptance. Right side of slide and chamber exhibit a Eagle/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece black checkered plastic Walther banner logo grips. Frame and slide are matching. MAGS: 1 8 rnd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some mild wear and thinning overall that show through to gray patina. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, with the right panel exhibiting a small crack, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 30 Luger. S# 7508p. Bbl. 3 3/4". Model 1920 Commercial Luger mfg. by DWM after World War I from a combination of surplus and newly produced part...mores and components for commercial sales abroad. The toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram, with a Crown/N commercial nitro proof present on the left side of the barrel extension and breechblock, as well as on the underside of the bbl. Right side of frame is marked with a partially legible "GERMANY" stamp, just above the top of the grip panel. Major metal components exhibit a rust blued finish, with some smaller components being strawed or nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2 piece checkered wood grips. Front sight has been replaced with a brass blade sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, sideplate, trigger, bbl., and rear toggle link. Hold open latch is not present. Receiver axle pin exhibits a loss to its rim. MAGS: 1-8rd. wood bottom mag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period brown leather holster marked "G.J. Ensink & Co./ OHRDRUF" on the rear. Loading tool's closure stud is not present. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory applied blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning, as well as scattered spots of pitting and oxidation overall. Strawed components exhibit wear and thinning, with areas of age related discoloration. Mirror bore, exhibiting a couple spots of pitting and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and some scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Bbl. is Century Arms International import marked. Metal components exhibit a post-war reapplied blue finish. Frame is mounted with later production 2 piece checkered black plastic grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, safety lever & bar, bbl., bbl. extension, breechblock, extractor, firing pin, and toggles. Remaining components are mismatched. MAGS: 2 8-rd with black plastic bottoms. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting scattered spots of handling marks and mild pitting beneath the bluing. Rear of frame shows a small spot of oxidation. Bright bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mmL. S# 1968a. Bbl 4". Standard configuration P.08 Luger manufactured by Mauser during World War II. The top of the receiver is stamped...more "1940", with Mauser arsenal proofs stamped on the right. Toggle bears Mauser's "S/42" manufacturer code. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece checkered wood grips. Interior of right grip panel is hand carved "104L 223X592". Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, safety bar & lever, receiver, trigger bar, and barrel. Toggle assembly does not match, but matches itself. Grips are unserialized. MAGS: 1 8 rnd. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to a pleasant gray patina, with some scattered spots of mild pitting and light surface oxidation. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent mild pitting and strong rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. The left side of the slide is stamped with the Mauser banner logo...more followed by stampings stipulating Mauser's manufacturer information, as well as the model and caliber designations. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece checkered wood grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide (properly electro-penciled on the underside), and barrel. MAGS: 1 8 rnd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: capture paperwork listing this HSc by serial number and indicating that it captured by Private First Class Wallace H. Drury, dated December 5th, 1945. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting edge wear, some spots fo light pitting, and some mild thinning overall. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece checkered black plastic grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. Mag. retains a rare and original metal grip extension. MAGS: 2-8rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: "GENSCHOW & CO/ 1941/ BERLIN" marked brown leather holster with an Eagle/WaA286 on the closure strap, containing 1 spare mag. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their period blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to gray patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting a couple spots of light pitting and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting age related cracking and crazing overall. (23-4993/MLW). The left side of the slide is marked with the model d...moreesignation "P.38" followed by Mauser's mfg. and date code "byf/ 42", and the non-suffixed S# "8292". Right side of slide exhibits an Eagle/135 acceptance proof on either side of an eagle firing proof. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece grooved pressed resin grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. Takedown lever spring plunger appears to be a replacement, being slightly too long and causing some difficulty when disassembling the pistol. MAGS: 1 8-rd P.38 mag., and 1 8-rd. Post-War P1 mag. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original blue finish, exhibiting edge wear, and areas of mild wear and thinning overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting light pitting and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few minor marks from storage and handling, but are otherwise very good overall. (23-5436/MLW).
