5 WWII GERMAN SA DAGGERS.

1) Overall length: 14 5/8”. Blade is etched “Alles fur Deutschland”. The blade is marked near the hilt “RZM M7/83”. Nickel silver crossguard & pommel guard. Brown wooden ...moregrip with nickel silver eagle & brown enameled “SA” button. Scabbard has plated mounts, and the body appears to be painted brown over a black base. There is a belt loop connected directly to the scabbard ring. CONDITION: blade shows areas of factory polish, but has noticeable staining primarily near the tip. Hilt shows light wear. Brown finish on scabbard is approx. 95% with underlying black visible. There is a small dent on the knop at the base of the scabbard. 2) Overall length: 14 3/4”. Blade is etched “Alles fur Deutschland”. The blade is marked near the hilt “RZM M7/13”. Nickel silver crossguard & pommel guard. Crossguard is stamped “Fr” on the reverse. Brown wooden grip with nickel silver eagle & brown enameled “SA” button. Scabbard has plated mounts, and the body is brown enamel. There is a spring clip connected directly to the scabbard ring. CONDITION: blade shows original factory polish with scabbard wear. Hilt & scabbard show light wear. 3) Overall length: 14 3/4”. Blade is etched “Alles fur Deutschland”. The blade is marked near the hilt “GEBR. HELLER”. Nickel silver crossguard & pommel guard. Crossguard is stamped “Th” on the reverse. Brown wooden grip with nickel silver eagle & brown enameled “SA” button. Scabbard has plated mounts, and the body is brown enamel over a brown anodized finish. An original hanger & belt loop are attached to the scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows original factory polish with scabbard wear. Hilt & scabbard show light wear, as does the hanger. 4) Overall length: 14 3/4”. Blade is etched “Alles fur Deutschland”. The blade is marked near the hilt “E. & F. HORSTER SOLINGEN (logo)”. Nickel silver crossguard & pommel guard. Crossguard is stamped “Nrh” on the reverse. Brown wooden grip with nickel silver eagle & brown enameled “SA” button. Scabbard has a worn, brown anodized finish with plated mounts. CONDITION: blade has a light gray finish with ample scabbard wear. Hilt shows light overall wear, but there is a chip to the top of the grip. Scabbard shows light to moderate wear. 5) Overall length: 14 7/8”. Blade is etched “Alles fur Deutschland”. The blade is marked near the hilt “E. P. & S. (logo) SOLINGEN”. Plated crossguard & pommel guard. Crossguard is stamped “B” on the reverse. Brown wooden grip with plated eagle & brown enameled “SA” button. Scabbard has a brown anodized finish with plated mounts. There is a hanger attached to the scabbard ring. CONDITION: blade has been heavily cleaned with pitting primarily near the tip. The finish has been removed from the grip, and the fit is not tight, indicating this may be a parts dagger. EARLY PRE-WAR GERMAN LUFTWAFFE DOUBLE DECAL M1935

HELMET. This helmet has a dark blue-gray original finish with original decals and completely original liner & chinstrap. It is so difficult to find an early helmet that h...moreas not been altered in some way. The inside left of the helmet is stamped “Q64”, and the inside rear is stamped “3100”. The liner has the name “K. Lang” written in ink on the right side. CONDITION: the early Luftwaffe decal is 95%+ showing a single chip to the decal. The tricolor national decal is 99%. The original finish, amazingly, is 98% showing primarily only wear to the edges. The liner shows heavy use but is complete and virtually undamaged. The chinstrap is also complete. WWII GERMAN M1940 KRIEGSMARINE HELMET WITH TAN

OVERPAINT. An interesting M1940 helmet, which clearly has a Kriegsmarine eagle on the left side but does not appear to have a decal on the right side. The whole helmet ha...mores been overpainted in a tropical tan color with vestiges of the gold Kriegsmarine eagle visible through the paint. The interior left of the helmet is stamped “ET66”, and the interior rear is stamped “236”. The name “Klert” is painted in white at the rear of the helmet. Brown leather liner stamped size “58”. The liner is marked “N36150 43D Schindler”. Leather chinstrap. CONDITION: the tan painted finish is approx. 92%. Liner shows light to moderate wear, as does the chinstrap. The helmet has a black finish with a police decal on the left side and ...morea party decal on the right side. The rear of the helmet has a partially visible stamp that appears to read “D.R.G.M. THALE”. Brown leather liner with brown leather crown pad. No chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet has 98% of its finish remaining. Police decal is 90%. Party decal is 95%. Liner has losses & separations. 2) LUFTSCHUTZ. A classic 2-piece Gladiator style Luftschutz helmet in black paint with a large silver Luftschutz decal on the front of the helmet. The helmet has a large interior decal that reads “Hochstpreis P M 8.- Vertrieb Gene_h_nigt Gemass 8 Luftschutzgesetz Kopfweite:56”. Brown leather 3-pad liner with 2 tongues on each pad. No chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet finish is approx. 85% and there is a dent in the crown. Decal is approx. 90%. Liner shows moderate wear. 3) LUFTSCHUTZ. A scarcer M1935 beaded Luftschutz helmet in dark blue/black paint with a large silver Luftschutz decal on the front of the helmet. The inside left of the helmet it stamped “Q66”, and the inside rear is stamped “3446”. Brown leather liner with black leather chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet finish is better than 95%. The decal is 95% complete. The front of the helmet appears to be bullet struck. Liner is dry but complete, as is the chinstrap. (02-20911/BF). $600-900.

1) LUFTWAFFE. A nice example of a German Luftwaffe M1940 single decal helmet. Helmet has a dark gray/blue finish with a single Luftwaffe eagle on the left side. Partial l...moreiner with partial chinstrap. The inside left is stamped “ET66”, and inside rear is difficult to read but appears to be “37”. CONDITION: original finish is about 90%. Decal is about 70%. Liner is quite rough with significant losses. Chinstrap is only 10% present. 2) NORWEGIAN. A Norwegian reissued M1940 German helmet with a dark greenish tan painted finish. Both sides of the helmet have a Norwegian decal featuring a rampant lion with axe on a shield all beneath a crown. No liner, chinstrap, or band. The inside left of the helmet is stamped “ET64”, and inside rear of the helmet is stamped “959”. CONDITION: painted finish is approx. 85%. Both decals are also about 85%. 3) PITH HELMET. A 2nd model WWII German pith helmet with a dark field green felt exterior. There is a Wehrmacht eagle in shield on the left side, and a national colors shield on the right side. Green leather chinstrap & brim binding. Inside of the helmet is green felt with a pressed red felt crown. Tan leather sweatband is impressed “JHS”. CONDITION: felt has some minor moth nips. The rear of the leather binding is deteriorating with losses. All other parts of the helmet are sound. (02-20912/BF). $700-1,000.

1) WWI. A good example of a German M1916/17 helmet. This helmet has a dark gray/green painted finish that may have, at one time, also had camouflage paint. The helmet has...more a 3-pad leather liner, and is stamped on the inside left “W66”. No chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet finish is about 50%. Liner is dry & worn but present. 2) WWII. An example of a German single decal Luftwaffe M1940 helmet. Helmet has a dark gray/blue finish with a single Luftwaffe decal on the left side. Liner is complete. No chinstrap. Helmet is stamped on the inner left “SE64”, and on the inner rear “4419”. CONDITION: helmet body has an overall oxidized patina with only traces of original finish. The liner is present but exceptionally dry. 3) WWII. An example of a relic German M1942 helmet that seems to have the remnants of a tan painted finish. There are also the remnants of an Afrika Corps decal on the left side. No liner or chinstrap, but the band is present. CONDITION: helmet has an overall oxidized patina with a few areas that appear to show tan camouflage paint. The decal is about 10% intact and is probably Afrika Corps. The inner band is oxidized. The interior left of...more the helmet is stamped “ET62”, and the interior rear is stamped “1062”. There is a painted name on the inside rear of the helmet that is not easily read. Full liner. No chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet finish is approx. 85%. Decal is about 90%. Liner is complete but a bit stiff & a little moldy. 2) LUFTWAFFE. An M1940 single decal Luftwaffe helmet. The helmet exhibits a dark blue/gray finish with a single Luftwaffe decal on the left side. The interior left is marked “O64”, and the interior rear is marked “IN131”. Full liner. No chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet finish is approx. 90%. Decal is about 60% with most of one wing missing. Liner shows tears & moderate wear but is complete. 3) LUFTSCHUTZ. A 2-piece Gladiator style Luftschutz helmet with two 7-hole vents on each side. The helmet body has a dark blue/gray finish with a large silver Luftschutz decal on the front. The interior rear has a decal that reads, in part, “VERTRIEB GENEHMIGT GEMASS 8 LUFTSCHUTZGESETZ”. Full brown leather liner & black chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet shows light wear overall, and the decal is better than 95%. Light wear to both liner & chinstrap. 4) POLICE. A police shako with brown leather trim and a green felt body. The front has a large police eagle & an elongated cockade. Correct & original brown leather chinstrap. Fuller liner. The crown is marked, in part, “ROBERT LUBSTEIN BERLIN N W 21, ALT MOABIT 105”. CONDITION: shako is a bit dirty and has what appears to be heat damage on the lower leather band above the visors. Overall, light to moderate wear. (02-21042-6/BF). $1,200-1,500.

1) WWI. An M1916/17 German Army helmet with vestiges of camouflage paint remaining. Helmet has no liner, band, or chinstrap. A stamp on the inside left appears to read “N...moreJ62”. The camouflage paint appears to be light green, dark green, gray, brown, & black. CONDITION: camouflage finish is about 30%. The balance of the helmet has an oxidized patina. 2) WWII. A repainted M1940 Kriegsmarine helmet. Helmet has a dark green painted finish with a gold Wehrmacht eagle on the left side and national colors on the right side. Decals appear to be added in the post-war period. The inside left rim is stamped “ET64”, and the inside rear is stamped “499”. Original liner stamped “56”, and brown leather chinstrap. CONDITION: repainted finish is 99%. Each decal is better than 95%. Liner & chinstrap show light to moderate wear. 3) WWII. A scarce, small-sized, M1935 Wehrmacht helmet with a dark gray/green painted finish and a Wehrmacht decal on the left side with a national colors decal on the right. The inside left is stamped “Q60”, and the inside rear is stamped “822”. Original liner is stamped size “53”. Original chinstrap is marked on the end “R EHRHARDT POESSNECK 1937”. CONDITION: helmet finish is 99%. Decals are also 99%. Liner shows light wear, and chinstrap shows light to moderate wear. 4) WWII. An M1942 combat helmet with a black painted finish and no decals. There is no stamp on the inner left, but the inner rear is stamped “3409” below “hkp64”. The full liner is stamped size “57”. Original chinstrap. CONDITION: finish is about 90%. Liner & chinstrap show light to moderate wear. 5) WWII STYLE. An interesting German helmet, of undetermined age, made of fiberglass with an aluminum lower border. The body is painted a dark silver with 4 rivets on each side and a screened vent on each side. Liner is stamped size “56”. Odd, 4-contact point chinstrap. 8-Tongue leather liner marked in ink “Krobeln N”. The lower part of the liner has a recent ink mark that reads “Hitler youth hat”. CONDITION: helmet finish is about 90%. Liner & chinstrap show light to moderate wear. (02-21042-7/BF). $1,000-1,500.

The interior left is stamped “O...moreKD62”, and the interior rear is stamped “13746”. This helmet has a replacement liner & chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet finish is approx. 70%. Decal is also 70%. Liner & chinstrap show light wear. 2) ARMY. A double decal Army M1940 helmet. Helmet has a smooth, green, repainted finish with a post-WWII Army decal on the right, and a post-WWII national decal on the left. The inside of the helmet retains original paint. The inside left is stamped “Q62”, and the inside rear is stamped “N105”. The liner & chinstrap are original. CONDITION: helmet & decals are complete. Liner & chinstrap show light wear. 3) ARMY. A post-WWII reissued Army M1942 helmet with a cap badge clip on the front. The entire helmet has been painted black with an Army decal on the left and a national decal on the right. The interior has no stampings, but the crown does retain original paint. The liner & chinstrap are much later additions. CONDITION: helmet retains nearly 100% of repainted finish and post-WWII decals. Liner shows light wear. 4) ARMY. A reissued WWI M1916/17 helmet. This helmet is painted black with no insignia. The inside left is stamped “ET66”. There is no liner or chinstrap, but a leather band is present. CONDITION: repainted finish is approx. 95%. Band has tape repairs. There are 2 extra holes drilled in the helmet below the chinstrap studs. 5) ARMY. A reissued WWII M1940 double decal Army helmet. The helmet is repainted green with a post-WWII Army decal on the left side, and a post-WWII national decal on the right. The interior has original paint. The inside left has no visible markings. The inside rear is stamped “42”. The liner appears to be a replacement, but the chinstrap is original. CONDITION: the repainted finish is near 100%. The Army decal is about 70%, and the national decal is 100%. Liner shows light wear, and the chinstrap shows moderate wear. 6) POLICE. This is an original German M1940 helmet with an original dark gray surface. There is a ghost of a decal on the left side and a post-WWII party decal on the right. The interior left is stamped “Q64”, and the interior rear is stamped “20747”. The original band is intact; however, the liner is cotton and covers the entire interior. No chinstrap. This helmet was possibly used by a German factory. CONDITION: finish is approx. 92%. Left decal is nonexistent. Party decal is 60%. The existing liner shows light wear. (02-20915/BF). $800-1,200.

1) PRUSSIAN. A Prussian Military Order of the Red Eagle breast Star. Star measures approx. 3” across and is gilded. There is a light blue enamel band around a white ename...morel circle encompassing a red enamel Prussian eagle. The reverse features a T-bar pin and a central disc that reads “P. MEYBAUR BERLIN S.W. 66” with a central logo. CONDITION: award shows light wear with a bit of verdigris on the reverse. 2) AUSTRIAN. A WWI Austrian Pilot's Badge with a central eagle in flight superimposing a green enamel oak leaf wreath with a red & white enamel cypher at the base, and a red enamel highlighted crown at the top. The reverse of the badge has screw posts at the top & the bottom for mounting on the uniform. CONDITION: badge shows light wear with no damage to the enamel. 3) BAVARIAN. A WWI Bavarian 2nd Class Military Merit Cross with swords & crown in original issue case. The medal is silver with white & black enamel. The ribbon is white with blue & black stripes. The case is light blue leather embossed on the top “Bayr. M. V.Kr. 2. Kl.”. The interior is purple velvet with a purple pad that is gold embossed “Hofkunstanstalt JACOB LESER Straubing”. 2nd CLASS. 1) 1st CLASS. A fine, cased 1st Class, personalized, WWI Iron Cross. Cross has a magnetic center with a wide pin on the reverse. The reverse is engraved “Ltn. ...mored. R.W. Fein, I/354. 18. 1. 1917.”. Case measures 2 1/2" square, and has a black leather exterior with a gold embossed Iron Cross. The interior has purple velvet & white silk. CONDITION: light wear overall with no damage. 2) 2nd CLASS. A nice cased 2nd Class WWI Iron Cross. Cross has a magnetic center, and the ring appears to be stamped “0”. Case includes a 6” length ribbon and is marked on the upper pad “Zur Erinnerung an Deutschlands grosse Beit”. The interior base is white velvet, and the upper pad is white silk. The exterior of the 4” x 2 1/2" presentation box is black leather with a central black enamel miniature Iron Cross. CONDITION: interior pad & base are a bit stained but undamaged. 3 IMPERIAL GERMAN UNIFORMS WITH 1 OFFICER'S CAP.

Lot # 1170 (Sale Order: 168 of 549)      

1) A royal blue, double-breasted, wool uniform with a red collar, cuffs, & shoulder straps. There are 2 rows of 8 buttons down the front, 2 on each cuff, and 2 on the tai...morels. There is a 3-award medal bar pinned to the left breast with the Bavarian Military Merit Cross 3rd Class, Iron Cross 2nd Class, and 1914/18 Cross with swords. The pendant for the 2nd Class Iron Cross is missing. The interior is lined in black, and the tails are lined in red. Sleeves are lined with gray, and there is a tag at the collar that reads “43 78”. CONDITION: uniform has scattered moth damage but remains substantially solid. Collar & cuffs are lightly soiled. 2) A black, double-breasted, wool uniform featuring a red collar with red piped cuffs & tails. There are 2 rows of 6 buttons each down the front with 4 buttons at the tails. The officer's shoulder straps are for a 1st Lieutenant of the 45th. The straps have a single pip with the number “45” above (one 4 is missing). There is a Prussian 25-Year Service Cross pinned to the left breast. The interior is lined in black and the sleeves are lined in a lightly striped white. CONDITION: uniform is slightly soiled with no notable moth damage. 3) A navy blue, single-breasted, wool uniform featuring a red piped collar & red piped velvet cuffs. Both sides of the tail are also piped in red, and the shoulder straps are likewise red with number “7” sewn to each one. There is a single row of 8 buttons down the front with one missing. There are 3 buttons at the cuffs & on each side of the tail. There is a Bavarian 50-Year Long Service Cross pinned to the left breast along with an 1870/71 War Service Medal and a Black Wound Badge. The interior is lined with taupe colored silk, and the sleeves are lined with cotton muslin. CONDITION: uniform is quite solid but does show scattered moth damage. 4) An Imperial German visor cap with a red piped, navy-blue crown and a red band. The front of the crown has a red & silver cockade with no national cockade. Black visor with a brown underside. Leather sweatband & brown liner. CONDITION: hat shows moderate wear with minor losses to the sweatband. (02-20156/BF). $1,000-1,400.

The mark on the bottom of the cups is “P K SELESIA” with a central tent. CONDITION: this extraordinary set shows the lightest bit of wear. The base of the coffee pot shows a very tight spider crack. WWII GERMAN DAGGERS, HAT, FLAG, CANDLESTICKS, & A

BRITISH FLARE PISTOL. 1) DAGGER. Army dagger measuring 14 3/4" overall. The blade is marked “(king) SMF SOLINGEN”. Plated eagle crossguard with oak leaf embellished pomme...morel & ferrule. Light orange composite grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows some staining but no heavy oxidation. Mounts are tarnished but undamaged. 2) SCABBARD. A good example of an Army dagger scabbard that does not fit the above dagger. Scabbard measures 11 3/16” and has a plated finish with 2 support rings. CONDITION: scabbard has a dent at about its mid-point. 3) DAGGER. A composite post-WWII assembled SA dagger measuring 13 5/8” overall. Blade is etched “Alles fur Deutschland”. The blade is marked “B B&A A (in a cross within a circle) SOLINGEN”. Aluminum crossguard & pommel guard. Aluminum eagle with brown enamel “SA” button. Brown plastic grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has staining & shows evidence of sharpening. Hilt shows light wear. 4) CAP. A Kriegsmarine side cap in black with a blue & yellow eagle at the front peak above a national cockade on blue. The inside of the cap is stamped “W 58”. CONDITION: light wear overall. 5) FLARE PISTOL. A deactivated British Webley & Scott No. 4 Mk1 aircraft flare pistol. Serial number 43266. CONDITION: pistol has an oxidized finish overall, and the catch has been removed, so the barrel will not remain closed. 6) CANDLESTICKS. A pair of 3 3/4" brass candlesticks that utilize a WWII German party symbol as a base. CONDITION: sticks have wear and patina but no damage. 7) BANNER. A German party banner measuring 38 1/2" x 55”. The 1-sided banner features a printed black party symbol on a sewn white disc all on a red field. The bottom of the banner has 2 1/2" cloth fringe. CONDITION: banner is solid but a bit stained. Fringe has yellowed. (02-21042-3/BF). $700-1,000.
