The knives consist of 1 antler handled knife measuring 13 1/2" with an 8 3/4” blade. / 1 Antler handled knife measuring 9” with a 5 1/8” blade. / 1 Antler handled knife measuring 11” with a 5 7/8” blade. / 16 Knives measuring from 7” overall to 15 1/4" overall. They each have wooden handles & blades that have sharpened many times. CONDITION: all of the knives show moderate to heavy wear. These books are considered by many researchers & historians to be the Holy Grail of reference material on modern machine guns. Included are Volume I, Volume II (Part VII)...more, Volume III (Parts VIII & IX) and Volume IV (Parts X & XI). Vol II is a signed presentation copy, stamped "Property of Col. George M. Chinn" & numbered 1061. It has been stamped "Downgraded from Confidential to Unclassified by authority of FPSO-CNC-B3 of 3249 July 1970" on signature page. Vol III has several white stickers w/ red type stating "Downgraded from Confidential to Unclassified AUTH FPSO CNC B3 of 3249". CONDITION: Most copies contain some light pencil markings in the beginning, typically stating the year of printing. Vol I has marking by blue ink pen stating prior owner, dated 29 October, 1951. This issue still retains original bound publishers notice stating that Volumes II & III would not be available to the public due to containing Classified material. Covers solid w/ nice white pages.
