ACTION MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 37746. S# 30-40. Bbl. 30". Model 1898 rear sight modified to 1902 configuration with sliding peep. Blade front sight with a replacement silver...more-colored blade. Walnut stock set. Stock is marked only with the encircled script "P" proof under grip. Smooth trap buttplate. CONDITION: well-worn stock with numerous handling marks, an arsenal rework finish, and flecks of white paint in the pores of the wood. Metal has turned overall gray and patina with traces of blue. Areas of light oxidation plus scattered fine pitting. Front sight has a notable battered appearance, likely from blade change. Bore is shiny with well-worn lands. MILITARY RIFLE. CAL. 30-40 Krag. S# 430128. Bbl. 30". Rifle is equipped with a Model 1901 ladder rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards. Blade front sight. Upper band retain...mores the bayonet lug and stacking swivel. Walnut stock and handguard. Stock has a visible but illegible boxed acceptance mark and a circled script "P" proof. Tan leather military-type sling. CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal rework finish with an added gloss finish. There is a loss of wood in inletted areas. Handguard has an approx. 2" crack on the top rear. Metal has 50% of its blue turning gray with patina and spots of light oxidation. Buttplate tang screw is not present. SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1899 LATE PRODUCTION CARBINE

RIFLE. Cal. 30-40 Krag. S# 350467. Bbl. 22". This interesting carbine was a very late production and utilizes a Model 1901 ladder rear sight graduated to 2300 yards, whic...moreh is marked "C" on the forward left side. Blade front sight with protective sight cover, which is also marked "C" on the left side. This carbine used the Model 1902 handguard. Plain barrel band. The bolt has the standard-type cocking piece, which replaced the earlier headless type. Safety is unmarked. The bolt handle recess is straight-cut. Walnut stock with interesting circular marking in cheek area, "5th U.S. C.A.V. COMPANY .E". The "5th" and the "E" are very faint compared to the balance of the worn marking. Stock is additionally marked with the boxed "JSA" and "1901" acceptance marks with the encircled script "P" under the grip. The trap buttplate cavity is drilled with three holes. CONDITION: stock has a well-worn original finish with light staining and numerous handling marks. There is an approximately 2" crack on the right side of the butt, extending forward of the buttplate. There is a small, approximately 3/4" crack behind the receiver tang. Single screw hole at the belly, approximately 1 1/2" ahead of the buttplate. The handguard has an approximately 1" crack on the top rear. Metal is worn, showing little original finish. Action parts are a notable silver gray. Fair, worn bore with frosted grooves. CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal rework finish with an added gloss-type finish that has light wear and handling marks. Metal retains a large degree of an arsenal-rework-type finish, which has a notable light gray coloration. Finish has very light wear and handling marks. Near excellent, shiny 2-groove bore. MILITARY RIFLE. CAL. 30-06. S# 1079719. Bbl. 24" replacement bbl., marked behind the front sight "SA", flaming bomb, and "2-33". Import-marked on the right side of the bb...morel. The 1903 MKI rifles were made with an ejection port and the left receiver rail to accommodate the Pedersen device, which increased the short-range fire power of these rifles, which was useful in trench warfare. The devices did not prove popular. Many rifles were subsequently rebuilt with standard parts and issued as service rifles. Ladder rear sight with volley notch graduated to 2850 yards. Flat windage and elevation knobs. Blade front sight. Replacement bolt is of the 1903-A3 type. Bolt handle marked "R". Smith Corona scalloped bolt shroud. Safety marked "R". Replacement standard cutoff. Trigger is a standard type. All milled furniture, except the stamped trap buttplate. Walnut stock set. Straight grip stock is of the standard type, without an ejection slot. Stock has two recoil bolts and is marked with only two encircled "P" proofs under the grips, indicating an arsenal overhaul. Cutoff recess has a small amount of additional wood removed. CONDITION: stock set has heavy wear, staining, and handling marks, plus a very dark-appearing arsenal rework finish with notable chipping in the toe area and small cracks ahead of the trigger guard tang. Metal has extensive wear and a mix of shades of parkerization plus areas of patina. Lower band and swivel have notable light gray colorization. Fair bore, turning dark, with worn lands. (24-1351/RW). Several partially legible assembly marks are in front of the trigger guard. WWII-era web sling in fair condition. CONDITION: walnut stock set has a dark appearance with moderate wear, staining, and handling marks throughout. Metal has 75% worn, parkerized, and blued finishes, as the stamped parts of these rifles were blued. Numerous small spots of oxidation are scattered throughout. Four assembly numbers are visible ahead of the trigger guard tang. Tan leather Model 1907 type sling marked "MRT 10/79". CONDITION: stock set has a lightly worn original finish with scattered handling marks. Relief area behind the receiver tang has been filled. Receiver and bbl. have been polished and reblued. Replacement Smith Corona bolt. Bolt shroud and safety are marked "R". Walnut stock set. All stamped furniture, including a fine checkered trap buttplate and a large bow trigger guard. Pin-type reinforcing bolts. Stock is marked on the left side of the butt with a boxed "OG", which is an overhaul mark used by the Ogden Utah Arsenal. The boxed acceptance mark is present but illegible due to the Arsenal rework finish. WWII vintage green web sling, which has faint ink marking near the sling hook. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel-plated oiler in butt. A canvas muzzle cover that is marked "U.S." and "FROEHLICH CO 1944". CONDITION: The stock set has a very good arsenal rework finish with very light wear and scattered handling marks. Metal retains a large degree of parkerized finish, including the receiver with its distinctive greenish cast. Bore is shiny, with worn lands turning dark in the grooves. The barrel is marked behind front sight "RR 2013". The bolt is from a Smith Corona with the squared safety lug. The sights are new made in the original style. All stamped furniture including checkered buttplate and large bow trigger guard. Newly manufactured Walnut C type stock and handguard. Stock has 2 recoil bolts. Military type brown leather sling. Walnut stock set; this modern replacement is marked, in ink, inside the forend "R" and "OCT 14". Stock is made in the oval-cut high wood style. The marking in the sling slot is not legible. The two-rivet handguard is marked "RSG". MAGS: 1 - 15 rd., marked "A.I.". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: copy of consignor-supplied information. Canvas muzzle cover marked "VICTORY MFG. INC. 1944". CONDITION: stock set has a very nice appearance with legible markings on the side of the butt. Stock set has light wear and handling marks. Metal retains 80% of its dark, parkerized finish with thinning and light wear. Bbl. has notable tool marks near the proof and at the rear in the chamber area. Rifles were mfg. by Century Arms International (CAI), using newly mfg. receivers and operating rods. The balance of parts being generally surplus G.I. Bolt is marked "PB". Trigger housing, hammer, and milled trigger guard are SA. Unmarked hardwood stock set. Buttstock appears to be beech. Trap buttplate. Unmarked tan leather military-style sling. CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal rework finish with light wear, staining, and scattered handling marks. Front sight relocated on short bbl. & fitted w/ Lyman bead type blade. Original stock replaced by pistol grip style sporter stock w/ raised cheek piece. Forend retains original lower band w/ swivel. Black "Decelerator" recoil pad. Stock has very coarse checkering pattern. Workmanship is of hobbyist gunsmith caliber. CONDITION: stock is not well fitted to rifle. It has been broken & repaired at the wrist. Crack on right side at forend tip. Wood has been repaired between mag. & bolt handle. Ribbed composite grips w/ remnants of white rack numbers. "U.S." marked green plastic scabbard w/ belt hook. Bayonet has been sharpened & shows grinding marks on both blade and cross guard. Blade has wear and light pitting throughout. Grips have extensive wear. Scabbard in good serviceable condition. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework finish w/ considerable loss of wood notable around grasping grooves. Inletted repair at heel. Missing chip at buttplate tang.
