Etching includes various foliate, patr...moreiotic, and military motifs. There is an etched mark near the ricasso that reads “Baker & McKenney N.Y.” Gilded brass hilt with double kidney guard featuring patriotic adornments. Foliate-embellished knuckle bow with eagle-decorated pommel. Silvered simulated wire-wrapped grip. Gilded brass-mounted, plated scabbard. Sword comes with its original protective chamois cover. CONDITION: blade shows substantial original factory polish. Hilt has nearly all of its original gilded finish remaining. Scabbard mounts also retain substantial original gilding. Scabbard body does have some loss of plating. (02-22488/BF). $300-500.

Gold-plated hilt with wire-wrapped black leather grip. Leather-covered scabbard with gold-plated throat and drag. Sword is complete with its felt-lined leatherette carrying case. CONDITION: sword shows very light wear overall. 2) NAVY. A rather poor reproduction of a Civil War era naval officer’s sword measuring 36 1/2" overall with a 28 1/4" blade. MASS” on one side and “US A....moreD.K 1864” on the other. Solid brass hilt with plain guard, knuckle bow, and globular pommel. Brass simulated wire-wrapped grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a light gray patina with very light staining. Hilt has a pleasing overall patina. 2) US M1860 STAFF & FIELD OFFICER’S SWORD. Overall length: 38 5/8”. Blade length: 30”. This post-Civil War example has a plain blade that is diamond in cross section. Gilded brass hilt of standard form. Wire-wrapped, simulated sharkskin grip. Gilded brass-mounted plated scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray, mottled patina. Hilt retains slight traces of original gilding and shows wear to details. Scabbard mounts show no original gilding and the plated surface of the body is lightly oxidized. (02-21258/BF). $300-400.

Fair to good overall, leather buckle tabs & finial tab, and over the shoulder sling are replaced. 3.) Civil War regulation Union canteen with the original canvas sling and scarce blue wool cover, pewter spout with chained stopper. Very good overall, solid sling with staining. 4) Civil War regulation wool covered Union canteen, canvas sling, pewter spout & stopper. Good overall, sling with staining and has been resewn, cover worn through in areas, heavily dented. 5) Civil War regulation "bullseye" wool covered Union canteen, good overall, missing about half of cover on one side, stained. 6) Good Japanese World War 2 OD painted aluminum canteen with the original leather and canvas sling harness, Japanese markings on strap, very good overall. 7) Pair of pommel holsters for revolvers, heavy cast brass tips, lined leather the flaps. These are too small for dragoons unless shrinkage from time, but Remington armies, Colt armies fit. Fair to good overall, sound, broken and repaired finial tabs. 8) Vintage General Ulysses S. Grant framed relief bust, mounted on tin back, beveled glass face. Sculpture appears very good with silver highlights, frame has been repainted white and gold with cracked repairs to gesso.
