MACHINE GUN PARTS KIT. A 7.62x51mm NATO derivative of the SIG Stgw. 57 battle rifle. The SIG 510-4 was designed having a smaller overall profile & lighter weight w/ the i...morentent of sales to the Chilean military. This parts kit is marked "ARMADA/ DE CHILE" above the S# "5594" over the chamber having "SIG" w/in an oval marked over the top of the buttstock socket. Kit consists of a bbl., bbl. shroud, trigger housing, bolt assembly, buttstock, as well as 1 - 20 rd. mag. and a bayonet w/ scabbard. All numbers are matching & are present on the receiver, bbl. shroud, trigger housing, bolt assembly, as well as on the bayonet. CONDITION: metal components exhibit varying degrees of wear & thinning that show through to gray patina plus scattered marks from handling & storage. Some areas of hardened grease as well as some spots of surface oxidation & pitting. Mirror bore exhibiting some light pitting while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks & impressions from handling & storage. Bayonet is excellent overall. A nice all matching example of a sought after Chilean SIG 510-4 parts kit. Cal. 7.7 Jap. Bbl. 22" finned. Designed by General Kijiro Nambu, introduced in 1939 the Japanese Type 99 machine gun is considered to be one of the best light machine gun...mores of WW2. This Type 99 machine gun kit that to be complete less receiver & monopod. Kit appears to be of Hitachi mfg. Bbl. is numbered "18133" & dated "19.10" for October 1944. 30 rd. magazine & flash hider appear unnumbered but all numbered other parts are matching to bbl. Asian hardwood stock set with butt stock installed upside down. The kit is housed in a modern hardcase. CONDITION: wooden parts show a few abrasions, some chipping, scattered dings & handling wear. Metal retains strong amounts of original blue with overall fading to gray, scattered oxidation & some pitting most notably on bipod legs. Bore is mostly bright with some scattered pitting & oxidation but strong rifling. (02-22873/MJC). $2000-3000.

VERY RARE TYPE 89 JAPANESE WWII MACHINE GUN

TRAINING CAMERA. S# 1630. The Rokuoh-Sha machine gun camera is a rare and sought-after piece of Japanese military history. It was designed to replicate the configuration ...moreof a flexible aircraft machine gun to train aerial gunners prior to using live machine guns. This was done by snapping photos, which were later analyzed to determine accuracy. Snaps 18x24mm images utilizing 35mm film. Capable of shooting at 10 frames per second. Has a pistol grip with a spade handle. Has a spiderweb-type aircraft rear sight, which coincides with the long front post sight. Black-painted crackle finish. All markings are in Japanese. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: fitted wooden case containing attaching cables, film canisters, transparent hood, oil bottle, additional trigger and guard, six reusable film canisters, and factory paperwork in Japanese. CONDITION: camera has very little finish wear, retaining full coverage, which is unusual for equipment of this age and type. Number plate on the right side of the receiver is in excellent condition and clearly readable. Box has a gray finish and is still wearing painted Japanese characters that are numbered to match the camera gun. It displays some wear and chipping since it is a shipping container, but it is in much nicer condition than the majority that this cataloger has yet to encounter. (02-21138/JZ). CONDITION: very good overall, with mags. retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few small spots of light wear, and some superficial marks from handling and storage overall. 2 mags. show some light surface oxidation, with 1 exhibiting a small ding on the left side, but otherwise all remain sturdy and serviceable. SIG 510-4 bbl. mfg. by SIG in Switzerland for the Chilean 510-4 contract. Bbl. is virtually unmarked, save for the S#, which is marked towards the breech, and features a ...moreparkerized finish with a blued brake. CONDITION: very good to excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting a few spots of light wear and thinning that shows through to silvering, with some scattered superficial handling marks present overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well-defined rifling throughout. It is a rare opportunity for one to acquire a spare bbl. for their SIG 510 series rifle. CONDITION: very good, wit...moreh exterior retaining the vast majority of its original green finish, save for some light wear and spots of flaking, primarily at and around the feet. 2) MG3 lafette tripod mfg. by Heckler & Koch. Green painted exterior. Optic is present. CONDITION: very good, with exterior retaining the vast majority of its original green finish, exhibiting some scattered handling marks and a few areas of surface oxidation. Scope is virtually new, retaining virtually all of its exterior finish, with protective paper present over the lenses. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic. 3) Maxim machine gun tripod produced by an unknown mfg., with no discernible markings. Period green painted exterior. Right leather knee pad is absent. CONDITION: exterior retains the majority of its period green painted finish, exhibiting areas of flaking, oxidation, and wear overall. PROVENANCE: Lifelong Collection of Terrence McCarty.
