HIGHLY COLLECTABLE, "G SERIES" FN FAL RIFLE

Lot # 1037 (Sale Order: 37 of 853)

Cal. 7.62x51. S# G3117. Bbl. 24” over factory flash hider. The G series FAL is probably the most coveted of this family of firearms. Imported by Browning Arms Company of ...moreArnold, MO from 1959 to 1963. Shortly after importation began from Belgium, it was determined that the relief cut in the receiver allowed these guns to be too easily restored to full auto function & the rules for future imports were changed after only 1,836 such rifles were brought in. The number of available examples today is even rarer because an unknown number of them were converted to & registered as machine guns. Green plastic handguard. Hardwood stock w/ metal buttplate. Black plastic pistol grip, numbered to receiver. Adjustable gas system. Adjustable, protected post front sight. Elevation adjustable rear peep sight marked from 200 meters to 600 meters. Trigger group factory pinned restricting ability to switch to auto position. Folding carry handle above chamber. Bolt carrier is numbered, matching the receiver. No outwardly visible import marks. MAGS: 1 metric 20 rd. CONDITION: Finish is complete & consistent. Dark black finish on barreled upper receiver. Trigger group is a little lighter shade w/ matte finish as typical. Top cover demonstrates some light speckling on top. Handguard, shoulder stock & pistol grip show little, if any wear. Bright bore w/ strong rifling. Fire control group appears to function properly when cycled by hand. PROVENANCE: Lifelong Collection of Terrance McCarty. (24-491/JZ). CURIO. $7,000-9,000

SCARCE & HIGHLY DESIRABLE 1966 DATED HK MODEL 41

Lot # 1038 (Sale Order: 38 of 853)

RIFLE. Cal. 7.62 NATO. S# 10B889. Bbl.19" over flash hider. A rifle considered the Holy Grail by some H&K rifle collectors is the extremely early HK 41, manufactured in M...moreay of 1966 and imported by Golden State Arms Corporation in California. These early guns were closer related to their fully automatic G3 counterparts than those that would eventually be designated the HK91 and rise to enormous popularity. One of the most recognizable differences lies in the area of the trigger group on the left side where the manufacturers markings are colored bright white, in heavy contrast to the matte black finish of the remainder of the rifle. It is marked; "MADE IN GERMANY FOR / SANTA FE DIVISION / GOLDEN STSTE ARMS CORPORATION / PASADENA-CALIFORNIA-U.S.A. / CAL. 7.62MM NATO". Beside it, on the mag well is marked; "HK 41 10B889 / 5/66". A sharp eye will notice even more important features in this same area including the original paddle magazine release & the original front takedown pin hole above the paddle mag release. Subsequent shipments would later have this hole filled in and the paddle mag release replaced w/ a push button mag release on the right side of the receiver. Matte black finish on all exposed surfaces. Threaded barrel terminated w/ factory flash hider Hooded post front sight. Left side non-reciprocating charging handle. Slim line plastic forend. 4 position drum rear sight. Metal trigger pack grip frame, numbered to the receiver "889" marked "S-F" w/ left side safety / selector. Black plastic pistol grip & matching shoulder stock. Currently sporting brown leather sling. MAGS: 5/66 dated G3HK 20 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: carry handle, cleaning kit. CONDITION: Finish complete & consistent w/ some gentle thinning on high spots & in areas of mechanical intervention. The carry handle attachment point is absent, having exposed some thinning at the rear of the charging handle. Bright bore w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (24-2138/JZ). CURIO. $7,500-12,500.

VERY RARE & DESIRABLE ORIGINAL SWISS PE57 RIFLE IN

Lot # 1039 (Sale Order: 39 of 853)

IN FACTORY PACKAGING. Cal. 7.5 Swiss. S# 3337. Bbl. 24". The SIG PE57 is the semiautomatic version of the Stgw57 machine gun. These were very expensive when imports start...moreed in the 1960s-1970s, and combined w/ a caliber not common in the United States, there were only a limited number imported, leading to their scarcity today. It is charged by utilizing a non-reciprocating op-rod, w/ a beer-keg shaped charging handle, protruding from the right side. The safety / selector is located on the left side of the receiver w/ a clever, folding winter trigger mechanism located on the right side, parallel w/ the magazine well. Folding bipod mounted just forward of front trunnion rotates 360 degrees, but is stored below the 12" ventilated barrel shroud, out of the way, not interfering w/ operation. Folding carry handle rests on left side of receiver. MAGS: 1 steel 24 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Original foam packaging & cleaning kit. RARE & DESIRABLE SIG AMT RIFLE.

Lot # 1040 (Sale Order: 40 of 853)

Cal. 7.62x51. S# 15939. Bbl. 20". The SIG AMT (American Match Target) is a semiautomatic variant of the SIG Model 510-4, machine gun, one of 1440 imported into the United...more States between 1969-1978. This particular example was imported by Benet Arms of San Fransisco, California. Similar in legal history to the "G" Series" FAL, in 1969, a very small number of 510-4 semiautomatic rifles were built on machine gun receivers and finished w/ semiautomatic parts before being imported into the United States. The BATFE approved their importation, so they do not fall under NFA restrictions, but future imports were built on semiautomatic specific receivers & modified for USA "Sporting Purpose" criteria by turning down the grenade rings on the barrel & eliminating the bayonet lug. In the 1970s these rifles were priced far more expensive than comparable rifles, & the low import numbers combined w/ the high original price has made these some of the rarest & most desirable military-style offerings in the United States. The operating system consists of a closed-bolt, delayed blowback mechanism utilizing twin locking rollers. Matte black finish on all exposed metal parts. Protected post front sight. Elevation adjustable rear peep sight graduated from 100 to 600 meters. This example sports a rare factory scope mount complete w/ 1.25-4x20, Schmidt & Bender scope w/ duplex reticle. Folding bipod mounted just rear of front sight block rotates for storage above the 8" ventilated barrel shroud, out of the way, not interfering w/ operation. Folding carry handle rests on left side of receiver. Beautiful hardwood 6" forend w/ matching wood shoulder stock. Left side sling swivels, currently sporting black leather sling. MAGS: 1 steel 20 rd. CONDITION: Finish complete & consistent w/ only light thinning in areas of mechanical intervention. Previous owner thought to add a small wrap of duct tape on carry handle to help preserve wood finish on forend. Furniture exhibits only a few fine impressions as evidence of prior use. Bore is bright w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (24-1542/JZ). MODERN.$9,500-12,500.
