Wide spur checkered hammer & short checkered trigger. Rampant Colt on right side of slide. Wide front sight blade & square notch rear. MAGS: 1 period factory 9 rd. w/ 2 tone finish. Good overall appearance w/ spotty finish loss & crack at top rear of right feed lip. Slight peppery oxidation on base. CONDITION: good to very good overall appearance w/ spotty finish loss on front strap as if by chemicals mixed w/ light peppery oxidation. Slight high point slide wear w/ faint pin prick oxidation near muzzle carrying through to frame dust cover area. Small scratch from improper slide stop installation plus wear from operational rubbing. Pinprick oxidation by mag. well & varied sections of frame. Thinning on mainspring housing. Blue finish. Ramp front sight w/ square notch rear sight. 2 Piece Rampant Colt checkered brown plastic grips. Transitional pistol mfg. in late 1970 as production shifted to the MKIV Series 70. MAGS: 1 detachable 5 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: wood grained box w/ yellow label. S# including "BB" marking is on bottom written in grease pencil. Box contains instruction pamphlet. Also includes consignor supplied information noting former ownership of the gun w/ explanation of the "BB" Barrel & Bushing marking as follows: "This gun was one of some 900 or so transition Colt Government Models produced to check the shift from the Mark III guns to the new Mark IV / 70 Series. Butt is marked "US ARMY MODEL 1909". Revolver inspected by Renaldo A Carr. Inspectors marks appear right side of frame below hammer, rear of cyl., bottom of bbl. & bottom of grips. Frame marked on top right corner "FB" Colonel Frank Baker inspector mark. Cyl. latch & crane marked "K" & frame marked "U" in crane recess. Left side of frame marked w/ inverted "CTC", internet research indicates gun may have been part of Federal program to arm banks against robbery, (Cleveland Trust Company ?). Six shot cyl. Swivel at butt. Smooth walnut grips. S# indicates 1911 mfg. CONDITION: metal has fading dull blue finish w/wear, oxidation & scattered fine pitting. Trigger retains traces of fire blue. Sides of hammer are in the white turning gray. Well worn walnut grips w/ scattered dents & scratches. Notable wear at bottom of left hand grip. Bore retains shiny appearance w/ worn lands & scattered pitting; notable pitting at mid point. (19-5358/RW). CURIO. $900-1,400.

Cal. 45 ACP. S# 301107. Bbl. 5 1/2" w/ blade front sight & notched rear; July 4, 1905 last patent date. Mfg. 1920 (1918-1920) as variation of New Service for military use...more w/ butt army numbered 149,321 having lanyard swivel. Proper U.S. markings & milled finish w/ eagle S15 proof at top rear of frame; plain walnut grips w/out medallions having matching penciled numbers. CONDITION: frame w/ sm. spots of light oxidation; 1 left side of sideplate & 2 right side of frame near bolt pivot. Very faint pinprick oxidation on right side of trigger, near rear side plate screw, on right front flat of frame & occasionally on cyl. Sm. spots of light oxidation on front portion of bbl. along w/ sm. scratch on bottom. Staining on sides of hammer. Very light marks on grips; near back strap of left & butt of both. Near excellent bore & chambers. Very faint marks in leads of cyl. stops. Although many sm. flaws stated, overall appearance is still very good. (19-3165/NW). CURIO. $700-1,000.

Numbers match on frame & crane. Top left corner of frame marked w/ "JMG" John M. Gilbert inspector's mark. Sideplate marked w/ Rampant Colt. Butt is marked "US ARMY MODEL 1917 No 44265". Marked inside frame behind mainspring "G". Unmarked smooth walnut grips. S# indicates 1917 mfg. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: US leather holster marked on back "G. & K. 1917 A.G.". Has worn "US" in oval on front. Lanyard stud at bottom is not present. Holster has wear, scuffing & flexing, but stitching is tight & holster is in serviceable condition. CONDITION: metal has 70% early arsenal rework type finish w/ thinning, wear, scattered oxidation & fine pitting. Sides of hammer turning gray. Grips have wear, dents, staining & scratches, but left grip has sm. crack at rear. Lightly worn lands turning dark in grooves. (19-5356/RW). CURIO. $600-900.
