The top of the receiver is marked "STEYR M.95". Ladder rear sight, graduated to 2,600 meters. Inverted V front sight. Hardwood stock set with duffel cut at the lower band. Replacement handguard. Bottom swivels, stacking bar, and bayonet lug are present. CONDITION: The stock set has moderate wear, staining, and handling marks commensurate with extended service. Metal retains 60% of its original blue, with wear, areas of light oxidation, and very fine pitting. The bright bolt is turning patina. Bore has worn lands, turning dark in the grooves. (24-7156/RW). Originally mfg. as a standard Model 1908, this example was subsequently updated to the Model 1908/34 configurat...moreion via the addition of a new, sturdier slide. The left side of the bbl. is marked with patent information, followed by a "20." above an Austrian proof, with additional patent information and an Austrian "NPV" proof marked on the right. Rear grip strap is engraved "S.W. 1692," indicating Austrian police issue. Metal components exhibit a period-reapplied blue finish overall. The frame is mounted with 2-piece Steyr checkered black hard rubber grips. Dovetailed blade front sight with integral V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: One 7-rd. CONDITION: Good, with metal components retaining the majority of their period-reapplied blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting overall. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as well as some scattered nicks and marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-7185/MLW). CURIO. $200-300.

SELBSTLADER/ D.R.G.M. 2526", with the digits on either side of "2526" having been overstamped. The left side of the frame is stamped with a Bulgarian Rampant Lion proof on the upper trigger guard web, with "1709.28." stamped on the left side of the slide. Right side of the frame, breechblock, slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "FL" checkered brown hard rubber grips. Integral blade front sight with V-notch rear sight. All numbers are matching to the frame via the last three digits of the S# (468) and include the frame, slide, and breechblock. MAGS: One 7-rd. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild wear and thinning, with scattered spots of light-to-surface oxidation and pitting scattered overall. Left side of the frame exhibits mild degrees of pitting beneath the grip panel. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit some smoothing and scattered marks from handling and storage overall, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Left grip panel shows age-related discoloration. Gew 98 updated to flat sight configuration by the Germans & provided as aid to the Nationalists during the Spanish Civil War. Receiver top has Spandau marking & 1916 date. Locking screws, follower assembly & cleaning rod are all missing. Spanish arsenal reblue finish. Hardwood stock set with Spanish "MP8" flaming bomb cartouche & Bavarian "EWB" militia cartouche. Bottom mounted sling swivels. CONDITION: arsenal reworked stock set shows a couple small cracks behind both tangs, some further small cracks on butt, a few dings & scattered handling marks. Bottom metal is proud of wood & shows scattered pitting & some oxidation. Bayonet lug appears cleaned to bright with some pitting. Other metal parts retain 92% arsenal rework blue with scattered edge wear, some light oxidation & dings. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Frame, grip safety, and slide exhibit a reapplied blue finish, with the bbl., trigger, and safety lever being polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, mag. release button, slide, as well as the bbl. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster, mfg. by Larsen in 1955. Rear of holster is stamped with the Larsen logo, above "1955", which has been partially over-stamped to "1945". Interior of holster is stamped with a post-war West German proof. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light wear and thinning, with scattered spots of light pitting present beneath the bluing. In-the-white parts appear to have been cleaned at one time, exhibiting scattered spots of age related discoloration. Bore is bright, exhibiting light to mild pitting and scattered spots of dark pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips are good, showing smoothing and scattered marks from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear and scattered handling marks, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Blued finish. Pistol grip walnut stock with takedown disc & bottom mounted sling swivels. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework appearance with scattered dings & handling wear. Metal retains 40% arsenal blue with overall fading to gray, scattered edge wear, light oxidation & some dings.
