Asian hardwood stock set with two piece butt & bottom mounted sling swivels. Rear band & handguard are loose. Cleaning rod present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Type 30 bayonet made by an unknown company under Kokura supervision with scabbard & leather frog. Brightly finished blade has Kokura & hourglass symbols. Bayonet has hooked crossguard & is in very good condition. CONDITION: sanded stock set is mostly devoid of Urushi & shows a crack at front of handguard, some chipping at front of forend, scattered dings & handling marks. Floorplate shows scattered fading reblue & edge wear. Balance of metal shows overall fading & scattered oxidation with strong traces of arsenal blue. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Cal. 6.5 Japanese. S# 232. Bbl. 31 1/4". Rifle has had the markings removed, leaving only the serial number & was likely refurbished by China. Replacement ladder aperture...more rear sight graduated to 1,700 meters. Inverted V front sight. Receiver is marked only w/ serial number. Bolt matches receiver. Cleaning rod is present. Non-matching hardwood stock set. Buttstock has two piece construction & has oriental characters at bottom of forend. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 15 1/2" fullered blade bayonet. 20" overall. Curved quillon. Bayonet has Kokura arsenal interlocking circles. Smooth hardwood grips retained by two screws. Bayonet is turning overall gray & patina w/ light oxidation. Grips have heavy wear & have been cleaned, showing considerable loss of wood. CONDITION: stock has arsenal rework finish, possibly Chinese w/ moderate wear, flaking & scratches. Forend has notably thin finish w/ 2" crack ahead of rear sight. Metal has arsenal rework blue finish turning patina. Cleaning rod is approx. 4 3/4" long & would serve only as a stacking rod. Right rear of the frame has a 5.2 Showa date for February 1930. Right rear of the slide has the Tokyo Arsenal symbol with serial number. Blued finish with strawed, small parts. Asian hardwood grooved grips. MAGS: two 8-rd., one being mismatched and the other restamped to match over an old number. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Clamshell leather holster, numbered to a different pistol, in fair condition. CONDITION: Grips show some wear from safety rotation, a couple of small chips, and handling wear. Metal retains most of its original blue, with scattered peppery oxidation and some pitting patches. Action appears to function properly, with safety being a bit loose. MAGS: two 8-rd., blued, and both are numbered to different guns. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: rubberized canvas holster with shoulder strap. CONDITION: The left grip panel shows wear from safety rotation; the grips otherwise show some flaking, scratches, dings, and handling marks.
