ENGRAVING BY FAUSTO GALEAZZI. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S#119792. The 29-1/2" mono-bloc barrels with fixed chokes (Mod & Full) are mounted with slightly raised matted ventilate...mored rib. Left ejector housing is marked "Perazzi BRESCIA MADE IN ITALY". Bottom of mono-bloc is stamped with 2001 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. Coin finished low profile action has removal trigger/firing group with gold plated internals. Safety in non-automatic; trigger is non-selective. Action is engraved with full coverage of well cut scroll that has some floral and foliage highlights which surrounds good Bulino renderings of game birds on sides; a pair of pheasant in open brush land on left and a pair of pintails settling into marsh on right. Bottom of action is engraved with spaniel retrieving a mallard. Engravers signature "Galeazzi F." is on action to right of trigger group. Blued top lever, trigger group housing and trigger guard are engraved with matching scroll and blossoms. Extreme pistol grip buttstock made of finely veined and fiddle figured European walnut measures 14" over thin black Perazzi pad. Grip with right hand palm swell is checkered in point pattern. Matching one piece forend with schanbled tip has Deeley type release. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: DAH: 2". DAC: 1-9/16". CAST: about 5/8" off. LOP: 14". WEIGHT: 7lb. 14oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun comes with its original blue canvas, tan leather trimmed Perazzi hard case. Interior is lined in blue cloth and contains: instruction manual, warranty card, stock removal tool, spare parts kit (containing main spring, strikers and wrench), a tube of Perazzi special lubricant and bags for barrels and action. CONDITION: exceptionally fine. Has seen perhaps 100 shots as evidenced by very slight firing halos on breech face. Otherwise, gun retains all fine factory finishes on wood and metal with a few minor handling and assembly marks. There is some slight rusting on left side of mono-bloc which should clean up well. Case is very fine with some rubs on exterior, interior fine. (23-1699/MGM). MODERN. $10,000-15,000.

GRIFFIN ENGRAVING BY THE CELEBRATED BILL MAINS. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4" S# PU70521. The 33-1/2" mono-bloc barrel fitted with choke tubes has very high matted ventilated rib. M...moreono-bloc is stamped with 1987 Italian nitro proofs. Relief carved scrolling acanthus is on breech end. Blued Perazzi singles action is marked "SCO" on left flat. Action is engraved with full coverage, large open scrolling acanthus which surrounds relief gold inlays of griffins on sides which have leaves emanating from their mouths. Bottom of action depicts gold angels holding dead game while a rampant lion is on trigger guard bow. Semi-relief scroll is on top lever and safety button. This well done work is by Bill Mains famous ex-Colt engraver who's buffalo signature is gold inlaid on bottom of action and trigger plate. Extreme ambidextrous pistol grip stock is made of green wood laminate and measures 14-3/4" over black "Kick-eez" pad. An adjustable comb has been fitted. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching target type forend has Anson type push button release. MEASUREMENTS: LOP: 14-3/4". WEIGHT: 9 lb. 7 oz. CONDITION: very fine. Metal retaining nearly all original blue. . Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 33298 (1968). The 26" mono-bloc barrels are fitted with matted ventilated rib and are ported. Maker's name and address are on top left of mono-bl...moreoc. Bottom of mono-block is stamped with 1968 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. Coin finished low profile MX-8 action is of early production as action was named after the Mexico City Olympics of 1968. Action features removal trigger/firing group with "V" springs and non-selective single trigger. Safety is non-automatic. Action is engraved in SC3 style with attractively cut large flowing shaded scroll which surrounds game scenes on sides and bottom. Left side portrays a trio of dogs; two setters and a pointer, all pointing a pair of nested quail. Right side shows setter and pointer watching a flock of departing quail; while the bottom portrays a pair of ducks settling into a marsh. No engraver's signature is found. Straight grip buttstock made of attractively marbled and lightly figured European walnut measures 14" over solid red "Decelerator" pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching one piece beavertail type forend has Deeley type release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: O .725. U .725. Restriction: O .004 (IC). U .004 (IC). Wall thickness: O .026. U .028. STOCK: DAH: 2-1/16". DAC: 1-7/16". CAST: about 1/4" off. LOP: 14". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 9 oz. CONDITION: fine as partially refinished. Barrels retaining nearly of a new re-black. Action shows some light cleaning with some remaining frosting in beads. Stocks retain most of their original finish with some areas worn through on high edges. Checkering shows moderate wear. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight although top lever stops a considerable distance left of center. Mechanically good. There is some discoloration from chemical bleed out on interior of forend iron with some rusting evident at front of mono-bloc left side of bottom barrel. (23-2177/MGM). C&R. $6,000-9,000.

A gold inlaid woodcock is on bottom of action. Engraver's signature "F.L. Conroy '95" "-FEGA-" are on trigger group. Per Consignor, trigger group engraved by Frank Conroy & remainder engraved by Joseph Depasquale. Beautifully marbled and lightly figured European walnut extreme pistol grip buttstock measures 14 3/4" over black Kick Eez pad and features attractively designed flowing incised carving and ribbons through checkering pattern on grip with right had palm swell. CONDITION: very fine, showing very little use. Metal parts retaining essentially all of their original blue with a hint of high edge wear and some scattered light flecking. Stocks retain most of their original oil finish, checkering with very light wear. Stocks generally show some very light marks however there are six or seven heavier small dings on left side of butt at face. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanically fine. SCROLL AND RELIEF GOLD INLAID GAME SCENES BY R. GOLINI. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S# C11993B (1989). The 28" monobloc barrels fitted with matted ventilated rib have fixed modif...moreied & full chokes. "P. Beretta-ITALY" is on left side of top barrel. Bottom of monobloc is stamped with 1989 Italian nitro proofs and grade. Grade marking is also on flat of coin finished sidelock action which features gold plated single non-selective trigger. Action is engraved with full coverage dramatically shaded large open acanthus scroll with some floral highlights which surrounds oval game scenes with bullino backgrounds, major subjects are relief gold inlaid and very nicely detailed. A pair of pintail ducks rise out of a marsh on left lockplate and a pair of mallards are flying over a marsh on right. A ring-neck pheasant takes wing from hilltop on bottom of action. Forend iron mortice is engraved with patent info and "MADE IN ITALY". Maker's name is on ribbon above pheasant scene. Top lever is gold inlaid with a sovereigns crown; thumb piece is pierced. Model is engraved in banner on double beaded trigger guard tang. Engraver's signature "R. Golini" is on trigger plate. Oil finished pistol grip buttstock is made from a fine piece of smokey marbled and lightly figured European walnut and measures 14-5/8" over checkered wood butt. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching one piece field forend has Deeley type release. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: DAH: 2-1/8". DAC: 1-3/8". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14-5/8". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 4 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in a blue ABS Beretta embossed case, which is foam lined. Case contains: paperwork, snap caps, some cleaning equipment and Beretta oil. CONDITION: very fine. Appears to be used very little, with no firing halos on breech face. Bores are bright and only a few scattered assembly and handling marks are on wood and metal finishes; most notably some forend chatter marks on barrels not visible when gun is assembled. Frederick Beesley developed many important impr...moreovements pertaining to firearms and is often referred to as "Inventor to the Trade". His most well-known invention was the Purdey self opening action. He was a consummate craftsman and all of his guns are superbly made and finished. This lovely little gun has 27" dovetailed steel barrels engraved "F. Beesley. 2 St. James's Street. London. Pall Mall Corner." on slightly swamped narrow game rib. Tops of barrels are engraved "Whitworth's Fluid Pressed Steel." There are small triangles of well cut scroll at breech ends with matching scroll at rear of rib. Barrel flats are stamped with London nitro proofs for 16 ga. and 1 oz. of shot. S#'s are on bottoms of barrels. Case hardened sidelock action features automatic safety ("SAFE" inlaid in gold) and double triggers. Action is engraved with near full coverage very nicely cut rose and scroll. Each lockplate is engraved "BEESLEY LONDON" "PATENT" in scroll flanked crown device. "BEESLEY" "PATENT" is on bottom of action. "PATENT" is on top lever. Fences are filed with relief carved fern leaves as usually seen on Beesley guns. S# is on blued trigger guard tang. Straight grip buttstock of finely marbled and lightly figured European walnut measures 14" over checkered wood butt. Stock features classic drop points, flat top point pattern checkering on semi-diamond hand and a silver oval on toeline engraved "C.E.". Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Case contains cloth covered dowels for bores, 2 piece Cocobolo and brass short handle cleaning rod, unmarked small oil bottle, Hawksley marked turn screws and snap caps, a broken case extractor marked "16", pull through cleaning kit in black Morocco wallet, dusting brush and cleaning implements. CONDITION: very fine original essentially "as found". Barrels retaining 85-90% original blue with loss due to flaking and light cleaning, mostly on left barrel. There is a small 3/16" ping at the bottom of the left bbl. 12" from muzzle. Action and lockplates retain about 90% case hardening color. Stocks retain most of their original oil finish which is quite dry. A fair number of light marks and scratches are present. Checkering is lightly worn. Bores are bright and shiny without any noted problems. Action is tight, barrels are on face, ejectors are strong and in time. The recess choking appears to be original, barrels do not appear to have been cut as muzzles are correctly filed and polished, top and bottom keels are present without any gaps or infill. Case leather has considerable darkening with stains, rubs and bumps. Straps are missing, handle is tired. Interior cloth is good with compressions, rubs and some insect damage. Label is somewhat foxed, but clear. Accessories good. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Factory records indicate that the present barrel length and choke configurations are original. Case contains 2 bone striker bottles (1 containing 2 sets of strikers). CONDITION: good with noted stock repair. Barrels retaining most of their original blue, fading from normal hand wear and many minor marks. Action retains traces of original color where protected but is mostly pewter gray with some staining. Stocks retain most of their original finish with the usual minor marks and dings, one or two fairly deep. Stock has been broken through the wrist and exhibits careful repair with good recutting of checkering where needed. Repair appears very solid and does not flex. Trigger guard screws show high edges and should be tapped down. Bores are very fine without any noted problems except for miniscule dent in right barrel about 10" behind muzzle. Action is tight, barrels are on face, drop is good. Wem ejectors are in time. Case leather is dark with many rubs and scrapes. Interior cloth is good with many rubs and soiling. Label is good. Floorplate and trigger guard are cleaned and cold blued to grayish brown. Buttstock, possibly replaced, has oil finish with a few marks. Forend with darker wood has recut checkering. KELL ENGRAVED CHARLES BOSWELL SIDELOCK EJECTOR

GAME GUN NICELY REFURBISHED. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 15600 (1908). The 27" dovetailed barrels are engraved "Charles Boswell. Maker. 126 Strand. London. W. C." on swamped g...moreame rib with dolls head extension. Barrel flats are stamped with Birmingham nitro proofs for 3 tons and Birmingham reproofs for 2-3/4" chambers. S#'s are engraved on bottoms of barrels. Case hardened action with back spring side locks have S#, maker's name, London view proofs and Birmingham proofs on watertable. Action also features automatic safely ("SAFE" inlaid in gold), third fastener which engages dolls head rib extension, bushed strikers, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators and double triggers. Action is engraved with near full coverage exceptionally well cut shaded scroll with some small scroll borders which surrounds game scenes. Five feeding partridge are on left lockplate, six pheasant are on right and two grouse are on bottom of action. Fences are relief carved with flowing ribbons. Engraving on fences is in semi-relief. This fine work is in the style of and almost certainly done by the reveered Harry Kell with his signature big-eyed birds. Blued trigger guard and top lever are engraved with matching scroll. A pointing setter is on trigger guard bow; S# is on tang. Attractively marbled and lightly stump figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-7/8" over thick hand serrated horn buttplate. Stock also features classic drop points, flat top grip checkering and silver oval. Matching splinter Deeley ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .729. R .729. Stocks retain over 90% oil refinish with some scattered marks; checkering re-cut. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight; barrels are on face. Mechanically fine; ejectors are in time.
