Tangent rear sight marked to 1200m. Blade type front sight w/ protective hood. Cleaning rod & bayonet bar are present. Non-detachable 10 rd. mag. Period brown leather sling. Cut type buttplate marked "bpr". Laminated stock w/ composite handguard. Buttstock marked on right side w/ 2 waffenamts appearing to be 214. Waffenamt 214 behind trigger guard. CONDITION: good bore w/ light wear to lands. Stock has moderate wear, dents, scratches & staining. Has 2 sm. cracks in right side of buttstock behind sling mortise. Also has sm. crack at bottom of forend behind lower band. Composite handguard has light wear, dents & scratches. Recoil spring housing has approx. 1/2” crack at top, behind dust cover slot. This rifle mfg date is concurrent with the dates known to have been used by the Republican Spanish forces. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000 meters marked USSR on sight base. Hooded post front sight. Cleaning rod is present. Numbers match on bbl., floorplate & buttplate. Sling slots. Khaki web sling w/ leather collars. Bolt has turn down handle to clear scope. Dovetail type scope mt. mounted over receiver ring w/ 6 screws. Stock is inletted slightly to accommodate mt. Mt. marked on left side "P" & marked on right side at forward screw "5" "H". Upper part of scope mt. has female dovetail secured by 2 knurled screws. Has tunnel for iron sight use. "PT" scope w/ vertical post & cross bar reticle marked on ocular bell "YBN", "8N06P 1931r", star hammer & sickle "N2751" "1933r" in rectangle. Finger adj. turrets for windage & elevation. Adjustment appears to function correctly. Focus ring is loose & does not appear to function correctly. Scope has slightly cloudy optics, but appears serviceable. Mismatched hardwood stock set. Tula marked trigger guard, hammer, cyl., frame, trigger & bbl. Reportedly only 35,000 of all Nagants mfg. w/ this short grip frame & 3 1/2" bbl. Lanyard loop on butt. Right side of frame below loading gate export stamped "ENGLAND", yet no British proofs. Sm. P on right side of rib at front. Circled K lower right front side of frame. Butt by lanyard has oval w/ I through it. CONDITION: good traces of fire blue on sides of hammer, trigger & loading gate along w/ springs for cyl. pivot & loading gate. Overall gray patina finish.
