Cal. 33 WCF. S# 135506. Bbl 24". Model 1886 lever action rifle manufactured by Winchester in 1904. The barrel is stamped with Winchester's 2 line address and the caliber ...moredesignation over the top, with "NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER" on the left. Metal components exhibit a blued finish, with the stock and forearm being comprised of solid smooth wood. Checkered steel buttplate. Marble's No. 2 brass beaded blade front sight with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting edge wear, with some areas of wear and thinning that show through to pleasant gray and brown patinas overall. Left side of receiver shows a couple concentrated spots of dark oxidation. Bore is bright, exhibiting mild consistent pitting and retaining strong rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and a couple minor impressions from storage and handling, but is otherwise very good overall. (23-2306/MLW). CURIO. $2,250-3,000.

VERY ATTRACTIVE WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 DELUXE

TAKEDOWN LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 33 WCF. S# 156269. Bbl 24". Model 1886 Deluxe Takedown rifle manufactured by Winchester in 1919. The round barrel is stamped with Winche...morester's 2 line address on the left, with "-NICKEL STEEL BARREL- / ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER" followed by the caliber designation, stamped at the breech. Witness proof is present on the barrel over the top of the breech, as well as on the receiver over the top of the chamber. The receiver features professionally executed period engraving, with a panel scene of a bobcat on the left hand side. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish, appearing to have been refinished during the period. Deluxe wood furniture, including a capped checkered wood pistol grip buttstock featuring a shotgun buttplate, as well as a checkered wood forend. Receiver tang bears no assembly number. Ramped Marble's No. 50 beaded blade front sight (bead no longer present), with dovetailed semi-buckhorn U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: receiver retains fair amounts of its blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to a pleasing brownish gray patina, with the barrel retaining large amounts of its blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning, as well as scattered superficial marks overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some mild pitting and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, as well as some wear to the varnish, but otherwise presents very nicely overall. Left inside of lower tang has assembly number “8781” followed by the letter “R”. Top tang channel of stock has matching “8781” assembly number. LOP: 13 1/8" over hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Mfg. 1910. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube retain over 95% lightly faded blue. Receiver has some blue in protected areas w/ balance fading to gray. Hammer & lever have traces of case colors in protected areas. Wood shows finish & checkering wear w/ scratches & marks. Buttstock has 2 fine tight cracks at toeline with an aged appearance. Cal. 25-20. S# 506781. Bbl 21". Model 1892 lever action rifle manufactured by Winchester in 1909. The left side of the barrel exhibits a faint 2 line address, with a fain...moret caliber designation stamped at the breech. Barrel has been shortened. Metal components have been reblued. Plain wood straight grip buttstock with crescent buttplate, and plain wood forend. Furniture has been sanded and revarnished at one time. Modified Marble's No. 3 front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a couple small spots of mild wear that show through to a pleasant gray patina. Dark pitted bore, exhibiting fair rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, but otherwise is good overall. (23-3041/MLW). Blued finish, with a plain smooth straight grip buttstock and forend. Ivory beaded front sight with U-notch ladder rear sight. Saddle ring is not present. CONDITION: receiver retains fair amounts of its original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to gray and brown patinas, as well as distinctive wear on the left side from the saddle ring. Barrel, lever, and buttplate exhibit areas of wear and thinning that show through to patina, with scattered areas of dark oxidation overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting a few scattered spots of pitting and strong rifling throughout. First year production Model 1894 lever action rifle chambered in .38-55 W.C.F. m...moreanufactured by Winchester. The full length octagonal barrel is stamped with Winchester's 2 line address across the top, with the caliber designation stamped at the breech. Tang bears the proper early pattern marking "MODEL 1894/ -WINCHESTER-/ PAT. AUG. 21 1894.". Metal components exhibit a blued finish, with the lever having been case color hardened. Furniture consists of smooth fancy wood buttstock and forend. Wood furniture has been lightly sanded and revarnished at one time. German silver tipped blade front sight with with dovetailed semi-buckhorn V-notch rear sight. Nicely grained extra finish stocks, top tang channel is stamped with associated no. "1764". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Record Office letter indicating that this rifle's serial number was applied on February 26th of 1898, and was both received and shipped from the warehouse on June 1st of 1895. CONDITION: metal components retaining large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting moderate wear and thinning overall that shows through to a pleasant brown patina, with mild moderate surface oxidation present overall. Lever retains good amounts of its original factory case color hardened finish. Bright bore, exhibiting mild pitting and good rifling throughout. Wood furniture show scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, but otherwise is present very nicely overall. Barrel is stamped with Winchester's 2 line add...moreress over the top, with an unusual (seemingly torch-like) proof stamped just before the caliber, as well as on the comb of the buttstock, just ahead of the buttplate tang. Right side of buttstock is lightly inscribed "Scotty". Metal components are blued, with the buttstock and forend being comprised of solid wood. German silver blade front sight, with 3 leaf rear sight, as well as a flip up aperture rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory letter indicating that the serial number for this rifle was applied on August 18th and that the rifle was received in the warehouse on August 27th of 1897. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original factory blue finish, with the balance exhibiting mottled gray and brown patinas, with areas of pitting and surface oxidation present primarily on the receiver. Bore is bright, exhibiting oxidation and pitting in the lands, and good rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from storage and handling, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (01-24109/MLW). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.

Cal. 32 WS. S# 182804. Bbl 26". Model 1894 lever action rifle manufactured by Winchester in 1899. The top of the barrel is stamped with Winchester's 2 line address, with ...morethe caliber designation stamped at the breech. Aftermarket blade front sight with modified brass tip, and reblued Marble's semi-buckhorn U-notch rear sight. Forend nosecap has been mounted with a sling swivel. Plain straight grip wood buttstock with crescent buttplate, and plain wood forend. Stock has been sanded and revarnished at one time. CONDITION: frame retains traces of its original factory blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a gray patina overall. Barrel and magazine tube, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to a pleasant brown patina. Bore is bright, exhibiting scattered pitting and fair rifling throughout. Cal. 32 WS. S# 188219. Bbl 19 5/8". Model 1894 manufactured by Winchester in 1900. The top of the barrel bears Winchester's 2 line address, with "NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ ESP...moreECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER" stamped on the left towards the breech. Barrel has been shorted, now retaining a Marbles 894L front sight. Left side of receiver is mounted with a saddle ring. Receiver and buttplate have been cleaned and are in-the-white. Furniture consists of a solid wood buttstock and forend. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original finish, with the majority of components exhibiting wear through to gray patina or being in-the-white from cleaning. Bore is bright, exhibiting moderate amounts of light pitting and fair rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, with a small gouge on the top left side of the buttstock. (23-2387/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,100.

Right side of buttstock is stamped "A.M. BRIGGS". Metal components are blued, with the buttstock and forend consisting of smooth wood. Receiver has been drilled and tapped for a Williams aperture rear sight. Replacement blade brass beaded front sight, with the original rear sight having been removed. CONDITION: receiver exhibits cleaning overall. with areas of mild surface pitting. Barrel and magazine tube retain the majority of their original blue finish, exhibiting some wear and thinning. Lever exhibits surface oxidation overall. Bore exhibits consistent mild pitting and fair to good rifling throughout. Wood furniture exhibits some scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, but otherwise is good overall. (23-2052/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
