Smooth wood buttstock and forend. CONDITION: frame exhibits a gray patina, with areas of dark discoloration and some dark oxidation overall. Barrel retains fair amounts of its original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to a mottled gray patina. Dark bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Standard markings on left side of barrel stipulating manufa...morecturer information and caliber designation. Blued finish, with smooth wood buttstock and forend that have been sanded and revarnished at one time. Buttplate has been refinished. Brass blade front sight with 3 position flip up V-notch rear sight graduated from 50-200 yards. CONDITION: receiver and lever exhibit gray patina, with spots of darker discoloration overall. Barrel and barrel bands show some spots of mild wear that show through to gray patina, with areas of light surface oxidation and some small spots of pitting. Bore is bright, exhibiting pitting in the lands and strong rifling throughout. Stock and forend exhibit some scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (23-2587/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.

The left side of the barrel is stamped with Winchester's 2 line...more address, with the caliber designation stamped at the breech. Brass beaded blade front sight with Marble's semi-buckhorn U-notch rear sight, and tang mounted aperture rear sight. Full length magazine tube. Plain wood straight grip buttstock with crescent buttplate, with a plain wood forend. Lever is a replacement. CONDITION: frame exhibits a gray patina overall, with some areas of striations from cleaning. Barrel and magazine tube exhibit wear and thinning to their original factory blue finish, that shows through to a pleasing brown patina. Bright bore, exhibiting mild pitting in the grooves and retaining strong rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Forend bears a small loss on the right rear corner. (23-3046/MLW). Marble's 94C brass beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed semi-buckhorn V-notch rear sight. Left side of frame exhibits 2 non-factory screws for a rear sight attachment, as well as a replaced saddle ring. Smooth wood straight grip buttstock and forend have been sanded and revarnished at one time. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original factory blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a mottled gray patina overall. Bright bore, exhibiting moderate pitting and strong rifling throughout. Remainder of receiver exhibits light scrollwork and wavy line designs, with "Dan Currie" engraved on the underside below the serial number. Metal components exhibit a professionally reapplied blue finish, with beautiful contemporary feather crotch grain smooth straight grip buttstock and forend. Contemporary flat Winchester checkered black plastic buttplate. Blade front sight with stippled ramp and U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their professionally reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some wear and thinning mainly concentrated on the magazine tube, as well as some areas of light pitting and freckling overall. Left side of barrel is stamped "NICKEL STEEL BARR...moreEL/ ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS PWDER", with the caliber designation ".30 U.S.MOD.1903." stamped over the top of the breech. Left side of receiver bears Winchester's 2 line address. Receiver exhibits a matte crosshatched panel over the chamber. Flip up globe from sight, with dovetailed flip up rear sight, and receiver side mounted Lyman adjustable aperture rear sight. Metal components exhibit a blued finish with the furniture consisting of a plain straight grip buttstock featuring a shotgun buttplate, and a smooth ebony inlaid schnabel tip forend. Furniture appears to have been lightly sanded and revarnished at one time. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to a pleasant patina, that are primarily concentrated on the receiver and lever. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent mild oxidation and well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture is very good as revarnished, exhibiting some mild superficial marks from storage and handling. A nice example of a Winchester Model 1895 rifle chambered in a scarce caliber. (23-2305/MLW). CURIO. $1,500-2,000.

By 1935 he had became a full ti...moreme exhibition shooter for Winchester. He continued to thrill audiences until his untimely death in 1959. His M64 is cal. 30 WCF (30-30). S#. 1117903. Bbl. 24" tapered round. Ramp mounted bead front sight with sporting rear sight. 2/3 length mag. Blue finish. Semi beavertail forend and hard rubber capped pistol grip stock checkered walnut stock with Super Grade swivel bases and checkered steel buttplate. 1940 mfg. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Blue cloth cover for 7'x30" table. Stitched yellow lettering proclaims "HERB PARSONS / SHOOTING". "Western-WINCHESTER / Guns and Ammunition" in red lettering displayed on table front & end flaps. 2 Framed event posters with Parson's photo. The large, 24"x18" pictures a selection of firearms with a M64 that could be this rifle. The smaller is 18"x9". Also included are 11 photos of Parsons or celebrities, letter, promotional materials, a box of Super X 28 ga. shotshells and a copy of the book "Showman Shooter The Life and Times of Herb Parsons". 1 full red & yellow box Winchester Silvertip Super Speed 30-30 w/ 150 grain expanding bullets. CONDITION: All original rifle retaining 80% blue showing scratches with wear spots on the action. Original wood finish shows numerous small dents, handling marks and wear spots .Mechanically sound. Bright bore has sharp rifling. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Jon Thomas. (23-1654/DS). CURIO. $5,000-7,000.

Walnut forearm & straight grip sto...moreck w/ grooved steel buttplate. Top of stock near heel has an added compass. Mfg. 1926. CONDITION: 70% bbl. blue showing muzzle wear & scattered marks. Action finish is fading to brown on sides & gray in carry areas. Wood has worn finish showing scratches & marks. Stock has a repaired chip left of top tang. Cal. 25-20. S# 986491. Bbl. 22" round. Ramp mounted replacement bead front sight w/ original sporting rear sight. Button mag. Blue finish. Walnut forearm & straight grip ...morestock w/ grooved steel buttplate. Toeline of stock has added sling swivel stud. Mfg. 1947. CONDITION: bbl. retains 90% lightly faded blue. Action shows 60% blue w/ areas of flaking & wear. Forearm has original finish showing scattered scratches & marks. Sanded stock has a dull refinish showing handling marks w/ a crack extending from above the toeline. A small crack & chip right of the top tang. Bore is bright w/ strong rifling. Left side of receiver and top tang has added holes for sight installation. (23-2535/DS). CURIO. $2000-2750.
